Inferno Love

The butterflies in my soul
They ignite my eyes.
I'm breathless
Yet I feel so alive.
The scorching embers, oh how they burn
But yet they feel so polite,
As if a searing reminder
That I'll be alright.
I couldn't resist the fiery urge
As I left this, ice cold world..
The hot coals became my host
And lava errupted through my veins.
I just couldn't quit gazing
At the flickering flames..
The last piece of me, to decay, was my hand
Oh how I forgot, how my fingers could bend
I thought as I was waving myself goodbye
To ever being human again
Ashes, ashes, were all I could see
As I saw myself falling
And as I really listened
I could still hear my heart calling
Becoming a faint echo
Confined to the shadows of my flames
Banished, never to be re-kindled again
Don't come to close
Or we shall ignite, dear human
I would combust and I'd eat you alive.
Be aware, you must know
That I, well..
I'm a devouring inferno.
My heat reddens your face
While the reflection of my ashes
Dance like a wildfire in your eyes.
The temptation leaves your thoughts up in smoke,
But you kept coming closer
I, flaring up with every word you spoke.
 Come closer, closer..
 I let my flames spew.
What happened to me
Is why I'd like to set the fire to you
How the flames burn brighter
With not one, but two..
Your blood is heating up, come closer
Enticing you in burning red
I will light the fire inside your head
And I wouldn't even need to dig your grave
You could choose to entrap
Yourself with me
And be forever ablazed
Ashes dancing in the fire pit
Comforting you with their warm glow
But trust me it's an abyss
In which you wouldn't dare, want to go.
Fellow lost soul, like I
We've wandered there before
Now forever to entice, just one more
Come closer..
The shadow calls out a warning heed
 Beware all, beware indeed
One flair, two flair
You must look away!
Don't hold a gaze
Into the burning dead flames.

Sunset: a Heavenly Inferno

Cool skies turned crimson with autumn colors
Clouded flames light the dusky sky ablaze
Red, yellow, orange and white melt together
Then erupt in cosmic plumes of splendor
As liquid pools of lava light flow forth
A heavenly inferno does ignite
This nightly gift spread upon horizons
Is a blessed transition from day to night

Overwhelming was her desire
To be close to you
She wanted to be close to your heart
Like a spark she wanted to ignite
The dying flames
Of your torn heart

She didn’t know that
Those flames that lay dormant
Would turn into an inferno
That would scourge her
When she wanted to walk away
She had to search in between
The ash for her peace of mind
The inferno left her scarred
However it could not break her spirit

Inferno

It consumes
                                                      A flash burning
                                                        Scarlet white
                                                         Ardent Heat
                                         Radiant within starless obscurity
                                                        Incinerating
                                             Entirely all within its grasp
                                          Flowing away on heat waves
                                                        Carrying off
                                                      Embers aglow
                                                    Pluming skyward
                                                        Ever higher
                                    Where the convergence is complete
                                                      And then upon
                                           The approach of daybreak
Where flames burn low and blue
                                                           Cooling
                                               The ashes left behind
                                                               Are
                                   Two embering and cindered lovers

Boisterous clouds are churning, roiling air-mass in warm updraft
Declaring on callous inhabitants of earth, a dark ferocious war
Manifesting malevolent force, imposing anger on spatial norms,
Conspiring with anguished winds to invigorate violent storms.

Colossal is their expanse that threatens the rise of new dawn
Offering a preview of what face of death would encompass
When enraged nature punishes humans for irresponsible acts:
Burning dirty fossil fuels, and decapitating vast forest lands.

Atmospheric inferno defies galactic harmony of equilibrium
Suppressing sun’s orange glow striving to uplift amber horizon,
Shrouding advent of nascent day to teach humanity a lesson
Collaborating with mighty oceans, stirring hurricanes and cyclones.

Overshadowed by the reckless commotion of ghastly gray,
Emerging marigold expression of ascendant tangerine daybreak
Grieves for the lost vegetation and deserted parched terrains,
Thundering a warning to foretell why the birds have already left.

More Than An Inferno

It is not light that falls before these eyes,
blue as ocean's dream,
that allows me to see,
beyond such a simple breeze

where whitest whites make way
for jaded bliss
a brilliance brighter than my sun
or of your moon

it is honey that coats the tongue
but vision that makes one feel
gracing of soul
as Beatrice's special guest
honoured
it is no guess

pools of luscious honeydew pull
and I drown in the elixir
floating free with
petals of persimmon

the heavens call for our return
co-joined we shine bright
brighter than 10,000 stars
blocking out distracting light

letting our peace perform then shine

"What then I saw is more than tongue can say.
our human speech is dark before the vision.
the ravished memory swoons and falls away.

as one who sees in dreams and wakes to find
the emotional impression of his vision
still powerful while its parts fade from his mind -

just such am I, having lost nearly all
the vision itself, while in my heart I feel
the sweetness of it yet distill and fall"

Inferno Hatred

Inferno hatred
By: Christopher Nickles
As the night gets late
Everything fills with hate
Aware of all the stakes
I will do all it takes
Youll see the depths of my hatred
To release all which I created
Come and ride, got room for all
Be cautious, wont stop if you fall
Now on an inferno roller coaster
Hitting me like an oceans tide
See all of me that is tainted
Hatred boils like it was painted
Hoping to you suffer in pain
So much hurt its gonna rain
See ache through watering eyes
Should of known it was all lies
For all your pain, I absolutely adore
Now as my inferno hatred boils more

Inferno Sad

Inferno sad. 04/01/2020

Forced to watch as she goes
Punishment of actions, he knows
The heart crumbles as it falls
Stuck and trapped behind walls
Its what started this inferno stake

Sit back for the sad river we take
It rips through like a rip-tide
All he wants is her to be kind
His mistake tears everything apart
Eyes watering, all the sad in heart
Watching her drive away fast
Thoughts overtake from the past
Thinking the cost of his actions
Knowing the cost is a reaction
For fear of consequences to come
All he wants is the sad to numb
He feels in his body, mind, and soul
Feels it most through his heart tho

Hells Inferno

shrill screams of pain and
terror written on faces
of children running
to nowhere from hell on earth
delivered by winged demons

Junkie's Inferno

Voyage on glass waves, ice thin,
shattering beneath mind weight,
burning splinters, chemical cold,
probe and pierce between the lobes-
a brain weary of being.

Charred charts wither into ash,
dust of fate -- anger, grief, fear;
the poles altered, gravity sucks outward,
spinning familiar pathways to oblivion.

Is peace that is not peace only in this hazy room,
pungent with weed, loud with need,
family and friends exchanged for Pandora's crew,
posturing in incoherent conversations and irrational laughter,
feeding the needle to the end.

Fueled by self-destructive desire,
drinking always fools' champagne
destined for a junkie's inferno.

Voyage on glass waves, ice thin . . .

Heat in the poet’s haiku night
Sexyku is the new alright
Baby baby is a new disco inferno
Burn baby burn
Love needs the heat
Music makes it all so sweet
Taste the bourbon
Taste the life
You should all be dancing
Life is so alright
Forget the strife, forget what’s not right
Seekers run amok
Fake news is the new preacher’s lot
You should all be dancing
Life is about love
Sharing and caring
Disco inferno with Travoltas’ flair
Let’s get down, let’s boogie, its only fair!
Clear the air
Burn the preachers
It’s a disco inferno
Burn the judges, burn the prophets
Take a dollar out of Jehovahs’ wallet
Buy the drunk a drink
The good lord will know who is who
Who it is who stinks like an old smelly shoe
It’s a disco inferno
Feel the heat
The sheep is in disco disguise
Trust me on Grimms’ verse
Fairy-tales speak in whispers and ring often true
Is the Wolfe who is the nurse
The sheep so white the devils curse
Humanity looks to the sky
As evil doers wonder why
To the judges our masters and our keepers
We shout
We are free

and beneath the earth
a realm of endless burning...
the sun is silent

forever darkness
with loud moaning like the wind ...
dead gnarled trees withered

a fierce hell abyss
with rivers of boiling blood ...
smells of decaying

serpents and dragons
guard the walls and gates of hell ...
three headed devil

violent storms howl
swirling and pushing down down ...
path of broken bones

First Place

Inferno

Raging infernos
Upon the naked forest
Through the crash of plane

Inferno of Floods/ Höllenfluten/ Infierno De Inundaciones

Inferno of Floods/ Höllenflut/ Infierno de inundaciones

Inferno of floods
After heavy rain in the mountains
Furious and unexpected

Death toll in muddy water
And nature will strike again

-----------------------------------------------

Inferno der Fluten
Nach starkem Regen in den Bergen
Wütend und unerwartet

Todesopfer in schlammigem Wasser
Die Natur wird wieder zuschlagen

-----------------------------------------------

Infierno de inundaciones
Después de lluvia pesada en las montañas
Furioso e inesperado

Víctimas en el agua fangoso
Y la naturaleza golpeará otra vez

-----------------------------------------------
Note: We had heavy flooding on August 7-8th, 2010 in Saxony
three people drowned and even more in Poland and the Czech Republic

Inferno...
     rage uncontained...
          within;
               a love burning...
                    too hot to cool down;
                         without cease...
                              raging!

That's my love...
     for thee,
          day by day...
               unsmothered!
                    Leap into the flames!
                         Let my heart's inferno...
                              singe!

Let it envelop thee!
