Hells Inferno

shrill screams of pain and
terror written on faces
of children running
to nowhere from hell on earth
delivered by winged demons

Hi Shane, I remember that disturbing photograph from the Vietnam war very well. Your powerful words evoke the horror, on the innocent faces of the terrified children. - Thanks for Sharing- Best Regards my friend!.

It is kind of you to stop in Will, It seems that we will never learn that it is the many innocent who always pay the price for the avarice of the tainted few. stay safe Shane,

The world changes but the mindset of the people does not keep pace. It seems that we cannot help ourselves but to wreak ruin on each other. I too remember the picture from the 60's it is still as poignant now as it was then. Thank you for stopping in. Love Shane xxx

My dear Enchantress, There is too much hurt in the world past and present, I agree that poetry is a strong voice that should be used more often to spot light social wrongs. love Shane XXX
