Premium Member Make Love To Me In That Ancient Place

WRITTEN FROM A MARRIED WOMAN'S PERSPECTIVE

i know we have been married a very very long time
we barely ever talk in fact i might as well be a mime

it is normal i suppose after so long to lose interest
please understand i am not at all trying to be a pest

i wonder if you even still  know where it is
just below my belly button you'll see the frizz

i wish - though it's been ages - you would find again that old space
and then Make Love To Me In (what for you is) That Ancient Place

Premium Member I Dug For Her In That Garden

            Deeper and deeper
                     I dug
          through that parched
                     earth
                    for her
                 yes for her

        And what did I exhume
                   disinter

                    Gold
                    Gold

Premium Member Jump In That Puddle

Jump in that puddle. Make mistakes. Jump toward the edge. Hang on by your knuckles.
Dare yourself!
Get muddy!
Laugh your truth. Make fun of the ridiculous. Call them out. Live your life.
Stand in the rain.
Be yourself.
Every second of every day, no matter how mad it makes them.
Laugh at the rain.
Stand tall.
Punch yourself forward. Light your own fire. Keep yourself jumping. Enjoy the mud.
Splash yourself with happy.
Roar back at the thunder.
No one can get you.
You have yourself.
Soar, laugh, love, all hope is within.
Jump yourself happy. Splash. Play. Twirl, dance.
Be you!

We Danced In That Moment

8:10 AM 06 oct 2014

Lean on me such a beautiful song
Holding her in my arms so long

So long was the moment, only and minute or two
Hearts embraced and souls entwined as lovers tend to do

We were lost and together nothing else really mattered
Our lives all at once in that place was gathered

Singing softly in her ear
Holding her heart so dear

I feel emotion overpowering reality as we drift away
So precious a moment just a speck in one day

A diamond with a heart of gold rare and precious one of a kind
Would be bliss to live just in that moment and to the rest of the world be blind

We held each other and cried as we danced in that moment.

In That Magical Moment, Stars Align, Happiness Reigns

In that magical inner sanctum where heart truly sees
far more than the banks and eddies of the rivers we swim
there colors of Life in vibrant idiosyncrasies
far exceed and outshine saddest gasps of our fleshly whims.

In that magical realm, one's soul may meditate and grasp
wake new morn, to mortal breath and Cosmos Fated decrees
embrace Hope with knowledge that we need to finally clasp
firmly true love of Life in earth's many bountiful seas.

In that magical sight, dreams may gift deeper countenance
of the many deeply blinded trails we foolishly tread
setting us on sweet paths of Light and blessed sustenance
wake us to reality, Life ends not when we are dead!

In that magical moment, stars align, happiness reigns
We can find anew Faith, Light and Love gifts eternal gains!

Robert J. Lindley, 4-25-2020
Sonnet, ( Looking past the black cloud that storms against us )

Note: New day, morn says yesterday's footprints are dusty
reminders that life continues ever onward, despite our worries
and too oft overblown fears. Fate will not be thwarted, and
what will be- will be..

Premium Member There's Love In That Thar Computer

You know I really love my computer
Coz all my Soup friends live in it!
Since the advent of the computer generation
Can't list them all, time doesn't permit

Youse guys are all so close to my heart
Every one has your own special place
From countries near and across the globe
What a fabulous way to start my day

Feel all mushy with a tear in my eye
A sentimental old geezer for sure
Never before have I felt so much love
Even you gentlemen have your allure

To clarify, you male dudes, it's strictly platonic
So in case you get any ideas
Squish 'em right now, I only love ladies
As well as pussy cats and cheetahs

Where in the world did “cheetahs” come from
They'd likely rip me apart, as smile
So don't try snuggling up to one any time soon
They're not swayed by your male guile

Make Love To Me In That Ancient Place

Make love to me in that ancient place
kiss my lips and touch my face.
The smell of oleander will linger in the air,
there would be only us my love, give unto
me only what you think is fair.
Let's walk down to the water's edge and in
this ancient place, to me your love pledge.
Let our hearts be intertwined as the stars fill
our eyes with passion for each other, so divine.
Let the waves wash all our cares free for here
I belong to you and you to me.
As the morning sun surely shines, We will
remember the mark that we placed on our
hearts and on time.

Premium Member What You Felt In That Moment

deeper-day-dreaming.

was he not a confident lover?

disheveled-darning-dominant.

confidence is not letting what may be disheveled in you get so deep that it dominates

so by day, be daring.

dream.

he transformed into all she needed.

he was all she needed.

cliched or not, it all happened for them overnight.

he made his great-grandparents proud

In That House

In That House.

In that house is the Lord.
In that house is life.
In that house there is strife

In that house there is Love of life.
In that house is the wife I didn’t have.
In that house a child full of love.

In that house there is a mouse.
In that house a computer mouse.
In that house a louse I see myself

In that house is all the Love I wish.
In that house all the food of life.
In that house all of its all

In that house everything of the all.
In that house is where we go from here.
In that house is more than just having a beer.

In that house is giving good cheer.
In that house it’s made clear.
In that house my Love is dear.

Premium Member In That Clasp of Silence

I slither through the deep forest
across a mystical scene collecting remains
from last evening’s venture : a shiny ligure,
china teapot, faded locket, and scraps
of letters on a trail of past impressions.

By now, periscope of dawn’s glitter
enlarges its serene movements
as light’s thick veil blinds my vision
on a quadrivial of glossed field ,encircling
my reality fragile and calm amidst balmy scent
of air entering my veins in gradual awareness.

In that clasp of silence purely unbelievable
reservoir of breath refills tired bosoms;
and the forest stands still in its auburn robe
waiting for clouds to form pathways
before the sun returns me back home.

Premium Member You Know, He Was In That Film

Watching a film I see a face I recognise
But cannot remember his name, which is no surprise.
I ask my wife ‘hey who is this guy, what’s his name?
Before we both go back and forth, playing this peculiar game.

‘It’s erm, what’s his face, he was in that legal thriller’
‘No’ I reply ‘he’s in that other film, where he’s the killer?
Now what’s it called? It’s on the tip of my tongue!
‘Oh yeah I remember the film’ she said ‘it had that famous song!’

‘Now what’s the song called?’ she asked ‘it’s a bit like McArthur Park’
‘What Disco Inferno?’ I replied, clearly off the mark
‘No, not Disco Inferno, it’s by that band who sang in that movie?
‘Give me a clue’ I ask ‘is it a sad song, upbeat or groovy?’

‘A sad song’ she replied ‘with the lead singer who’s bald!’
‘The drummers called Keith somebody or other’ she recalled!
‘Okay are we talking the sixties or seventies’ I asked
Clearly desperate for a clue that might get the drummer’s identity unmasked!

‘You know the band’ she said ‘I’m sure they played at Live Aid!
But the identity of the band was still a mystery, I’m afraid!
‘Jack Palance!’ I shout ‘Jack Palance, that’s the guys name!
And with that, I draw a close to this peculiar game!

In That Heavy Rain

I DON'T KNOW HOW IT HAPPENED
A REVERBERATION MORE THAN A DREAM
SHE WAS NAUGHTY AND ALWAYS LIKED RAIN
I TOO MADE MY CHOICES COME CLOSE TO HER
SHE SPOKE LITTLE BUT HER EYES TOLD A LOT
WE SHARED DAYS NIGHTS AND EVEN DREAMS

I CANT EXPLAIN WHETHER IT WAS HER TEARS OR NOT
THE PROFOUND RAIN SHOWED ALL ITS EXTREMITY
THE DRUMBEATS MADE MY EARS A HORRIBLE EFFECT
THE NIGHT SCREAMED MORE THAN THAT OF A CHERUB
I COULD'NT RECOGNIZE IT WITH THE HEART BEAT OF NEWBORN
IN OUR THOUGHTS THERE REMAINED THE COOL VIBRANT WHISPER OF LOVE

And smile just for me alone
And I understood at last

In That Mystical World

To the illusive world of love...
I want to go
To roam around there
in search of you
with you in my heart.....
With nothing to fear
and nothing to care...
To be at peace....
To give my soul a flight...
To feel weightless....
To gleam like a flower....
Is it too much to ask?
Is it too hard a task?
To be
in that mystical world.....

In That Moment

We are in that moment sweet darling
The wonderment of pain is upon us

The trees are going to wail as they grumble
Soldiers footsteps will be heard as they fumble

We are in that moment sweet loved one
The horrendous flashback of pain will descend upon you

You stood tall way back when
But this is now, it is not back then

We are in that moment sweet planet
A millions stars dance above us

The earth cries out once more
The oceans scream like never before

We are in that moment sweet soldier
Your heart will now beat like a drum in a March

Smoke your last roll up and soak in the air
For soon it will be too painful to bear

We are in that moment sweet mother
As your tears fall like rain from a leaf

Soldiers footsteps stamp on the ground
Gunshots and bombs are the only sounds

We are in that moment sweet humanity

Pray for our world
Pray our people
Ukraine we love you
We are all equal
