Jump In That Puddle

Jump in that puddle. Make mistakes. Jump toward the edge. Hang on by your knuckles.
Dare yourself!
Get muddy!
Laugh your truth. Make fun of the ridiculous. Call them out. Live your life.
Stand in the rain.
Be yourself.
Every second of every day, no matter how mad it makes them.
Laugh at the rain.
Stand tall.
Punch yourself forward. Light your own fire. Keep yourself jumping. Enjoy the mud.
Splash yourself with happy.
Roar back at the thunder.
No one can get you.
You have yourself.
Soar, laugh, love, all hope is within.
Jump yourself happy. Splash. Play. Twirl, dance.
Be you!

Thank you for your participation in my contest. I enjoyed your ideology of Carpe Diem in some of the lines. Congrats on your placement. Sara

Thank you Sara. I can hardly wait until you think up your next contest idea. I loved all of the photos, but especially that one!

This made my FAV list- enjoyed every minute of it... The part "No one can get you./ You have yourself." especially resonates with me. It took me a long time to believe that. I think this is definitely a "legacy" poem for your grandkids, too.
