Premium Member Memorial Day, 2019 In America

Americans are Americans, period.
No matter color, sex and for heavens, sake!
Not ....Their "party affiliation,"
On which some are insanely fixated.

We were born au natural.
We were not born as a member of political party.
That's a choice you make way later.
But some think they must be of the same political
lineage as their pater.( father)

I bring all this up as today is Memorial Day.
Millions died to keep America free.
Guess what?
All colors, ages, political parties under the
earth now lay,
Who gave their lives for you in foreign lands!
We are supposed to honor the dead today.

So today, only one channel with backbone
Carried the ceremonies to honor them.
The other two,  busy trying like insane bees,
To destroy the current Presidency!

These same two channels that lauded criminal
Michael Avenatti for the next President.
(Had him on over 200 times!)
But neither showed few if any of the ceremonies
at Arlington Cemetery?
Get a clue! That tells you something!

Are they really that dense? Do they think the dead
in wars did not include Democrats?
They will have criminals on and America haters,
disgusting race- baiters, and all manner of
impeachment go-getters.
But can't honor fallen heroes? Not a chance!
The true heroes, go ignored by two major networks.

Meanwhile, the dead sleep under grass and flags.
I am glad they cannot see, how un-American, we
Americans have become.
Destroying the Constitution, killing babies and worse.
Forbidding-saluting our flag and hiding statues of
American heroes.
And banning cauliflower~as its is too "colonial?"

Today, we stuff ourselves with processed foods
Growing bodies like balloons.
Walking barefoot on lovely poisoned grass,
All too perfect!
Poisoned food in our faces, while we sneer in
hatred at this great nation.

It's so terribly tragic.
The political blindness, the sheer ignorance here.
Causes me to pray to stop this endless vexation.
Before we become a Communist nation.

Bah, Humbug

Ah, the glorious damned winter
and the inviting
gray chill in the air.
I meander
ever
so
slowly
past lawns
strewn
with a cluttered array
of pagan snow zombies -
staring blankly,
as I obliterate pint-sized
snow angels
failing to don halos
that could have easily been
brush stroked with
da Vinci's golden teardrops.

(Impoverished attention-getters)

"I suggest you peruse Alighieri’s 'Inferno' –
it may, at least, promote heat - if not hope!"

(Simpletons)

Frost continues to cloud my spectacles -
thick and relentless
eagerly permeating the glass -
endeavoring to dance
a feverish Fantasia foxtrot
upon the skins of my pupils.

My heavy feet scuffle
past these endearing peasants.
Bleak…frozen…
forgotten Mt. Everest tombstones.
Disgraced outcasts of embarrassment -
smashed against a stark white canvas
hands cut off –

sticking out their parched tongues
begging for alms.
Click and count.

Their fragile bodies so much alive
their dark, hallowed eyes
so
much
dead.

(So be it)

They stealthily huddle alone -
(Hah! I’ve created my own personal oxymoron!)

These gruesome street urchin waifs -
Dumber than a sackful of hammers and
frostier than a Maine Christmas morn,
convulsing and shivering ‘neath lampposts
without snow shoes or socks,

bawling and boo-hooing...
“Clutching weather-worn copies
of James Hilton’s 'Lost Horizon'
and littering the virgin snow
with salty saline discharge –
igniting street corner bonfires
without the faintest hint of smoke."

(Wasteful)

Ah, the glorious damned winter
and that magnificent gray chill in the air.
My arctic thighs carry me home now
where I am safe.
Where I can slam my door
and shut my eyes.

My cavernous domicile
whereas I can privately converse
with Mr. Dickens and Mr. O’Neill
and read “A Christmas Carol”
or “The Iceman Cometh” -
without a snaggle-toothed interruption...
Listen to the haunting strains of L’Inverno
from Vivaldi’s “Le Quattro Staggioni”
and cackle wildly as I burn first editions
of Clement Clark Moore’s
most infamous penning -

pour myself a
tall glass of ice cubes -
devour a heaping bowl
of vichyssoise -

scarf down a fudgcicle
and just...

turn the air conditioner

ON.

Am I Really Free

I thought about my older brother when I wrote this

One morning I woke up
and my bed was now a king size,
No more chow lines
and my wisdom[wife] was puttin' in kitchen work
and I was blessed to gaze into my queens eyes,

She prepared a good breakfast & I swallowed my feast
Then I hit the rain closet
and came out smelling like Hugo Boss
and I'm appreciating my new attire,
Praise God no more D.O.C. suits, kites
no more roll calls or pass the wire,

So I put on my armor, ready to face the outside world
with my best battle cry,
" I'm Free "
But I remembered I was on parole
and somedays it's like being up manuer creek
solo with no paddle I,
Use my survival tactics
from studying the boulevards theatrics
and with confidence I straddle my,

War horse for the rough ride
plus I sharpen up my weapon of choice,
I know victory is the key
So I illustrate it through voice,

I don't gallop as I eagle eye the hood,
The change lets me know
I went from platinum status to wood,
I briefly reminisce on when the time was good,

The hawk's present
so I pop the collar on my 6lb coat,
Chip getters & the thick chick sweaters
stalk the block and hounds quote,

Each others psudonems, some issuin' the news,
If you part of the society
that lives by the ' Quiet Code '
you stay true to them
I hear the ghetto winds whistlin' the blues,

See city life plays a cold tune
and ' No Love ' is the bass line,
So when my mind rewinds
I realize that sometimes prison V.I's[visits]
is your only source of face time,

That's why I have much love for my peers
doing much time on tiers,
See hard time & yard time keeps your mind on clear,
And you must conquer all your fears,
In this, frigid world that's been gelid for years,
So for all my loved ones who couldn't be here,
I toast to the ' Most High '
and spill liquors and beers,

Because i'm back in the outside world
But am I really free?

Time-Wasters To Go-Getters

So much time we have wasted here on Earth,
Never living up to the expectations given at birth.
Sitting around all day, just watching the time pass.
Because all you are to that university is a $ sitting in class.

We have the tools to do anything we please.
Countless doors to open, as God has given us the keys.
But we'd rather sit on Netflix binge watching our favorite TV shows.
Weekend after weekend you waste away as the Budweiser flows.

Get out and explore before you're grown and too late.
Soon you'll be old, and have nothing to look back and appreciate.
The clock is ticking, and time waits for no one.
Now go break some rules, get into trouble, and have some real fun.

Roadkill Vittles

Driving along
What's that I smell
The daily delight
Of the latest roadkill

From raccoons to possums
In this flattened cuisine
As vultures take lunches
On this finest of dining

Call us the critter getters
Crossing over our paths
Taking them out
As they scurry this way and that

From Bambi to Thumper
And all their forest friends
It does make you wonder
Who you'll run into next

We'll even take out the curious
Who wander on
To that portion of blacktop
To see what's going on

From teetotaling turtles
To slithering snakes
There's not a creature out there
That we won't pancake

So check out the roadkill
If there's still twitch after the thump
Hurry in back
And toss it into the trunk

Because down in the South
There ain't no one can say
That any of us country folk
Let a thing go to waste

Below the Mason Dixon line
If it's fresh enough
We'll take it home ya'll
And have it for lunch

As long as it's fried
There ain't a thing
With cheese grits on the side
That we won't eat

North Korea Now and Not Black Power

North Korea Now and Not Black Power

Is a prosaic
Of something quite archaic
Country far behind.

This is what I thought of after
watching news about North
Korea exploding another bomb.
Inferior countries are looking for
attention getters to overcome
and compensate for an inferior
complex. Of course, they thing
an occasional show of force and
people with uniforms full of medals
will also add to the austerity.

Blatant Bill Propose

Blatant Bill Propose

Blatant bill by congress they did propose;
When a weirdo on you grows and grows;
Latest have heard,
Is totally absurd;
Trump has orange hair and nose that glows.

Guess anyone else would call them
attention getters.

Premium Member Never Say Die

Navigating every path and summiting
Every mountain; climbing peaks and
Valleys indefatigably. They don't give up, the...
Epitome of tenacity. Nothing weakens the
Resolve of ambitious go-getters!

Strong-willed and naturally driven to go
After what they put their minds to and never
Yielding to adversity. They thrive instead!

Determined to accomplish any goal, however
Infinitesimal or gigantic, easy or hard.
Endlessly never-say-die in spirit and verve!

Discount Medicine Man

I have Geritol at half price
The tamper proof has only been breached twice
Viagra for you real go getters
B12 for Telemarketers aka appointment setters
Come on kids, help me out with my supply
Raid Grandpa and Grandma's medicine cabinet, I will pay top dollar for all I buy
Some medicines are plentiful like grains of sand
Purchase it wholesale from your retail discount medicine man
Rogaine, cocaine laced products, your need for speed
Uppers, downers, all arounders, the best in the world of weed
If you are short on dough, have no self control, just give me a call
Cramps, indigestion, urinary tract infection, I have cures for it all
We all have them, so don't tell me about your issues
I am not board certified, so you cannot sue
I have placeboes available for you ill at mind
I have drugs that curb you urge to kill your own kind
There are some here that provide visionary thrills
Come see me, for self therapy, I can supply it in a pill
You are so dependent, I understand
Patience is my key to be your discount medicine man
My lifestyle is rich but not famous
Ruthless business man, look in my eyes, they are shameless
Even deep down inside, I really don't care
I just want my lion's share
One visit, you will become part of my plan
Save money and time, come visit your discount medicine man

What Does Not Kill You Makes You Strong

Whenever obstacles arise
Hinders future possibilities
And pin the victim down
To the ground

Dangers of allowing
Obstacles to reduce our zest to life
Endangers our chances of victory and
Slightly rob our happiness

Never succumb to pressures
Of life but keep pushing
Till the new dawn appears

Kill the felling of self-condemnation
Instil positive attitude and face your fears head on
Learn from your predecessor’s mistakes because
Learning from yours might cost you time

You are the champion
Of your destiny
Undoubtedly no one can do it for you, but you

Make each moment count
Arise from the rubble of failure
Keep your goals vivid
Elect strategies that drives you to
Seal the day victorious.

You are the champion
Of your destiny
Undoubtedly no one can do it for you, but you

Start the new day filled with happiness
To fuel daily achievement and
Revitalize your future goals
On the cards for success
Never under estimate yourself
Good things are rewarded to go-getters

Star-Gazing

It is neat to gaze upon a star;
light shows the way -- God's route.
Adventuring near, adventuring far
affirming persons who doubt.

Light shows the way -- God's route.
My story is that light can infuse each rift
affirming persons who doubt,
forgetting malice which love will lift.

My story is that light can infuse each rift
forgiving faults with peace and joy
forgetting malice which love will lift.
Givers are more blessed than getters, Ahoy!

Forgiving faults with peace and joy
adventuring near, adventuring far.
Givers are more blessed than getters, Ahoy!
It is neat to gaze upon a star.

Deconstruction

This sea's end on a misnamed shore
Is not the terminus of your sin
Nor my beginning in the dusky yore
But we can in false time begin
To ridirect the world from the whim
And caprice of self-lost to love
The best in us again. Trust is slim
Now, but surrender can prove
More worth than paper documents
And words that never stand so
To mean exactly all desire's intents
Leaving you in thin chiaroscuro

So let us not praise Columbus still
Nor Sea dogs' conquistadores
Mentality, I like Wilberforce's bill
But we new Crispus and Torrez
Were not impotent dole getters, since
We fired sugarcane and barracks
And by death and waste also convinced
The Great House to retire its racks
Since we salt of the earth accept it
That our coming was no accident
But from the convenant to pave and grit
A redemption for gentiles and truant.

Unstoppable

Unstoppable

(Chorus)
I'm on it ,on it
Yeah a mission
Got to see, my own vision
Make a decision, running out of time
The clocks keeps ticking and then it tocks
Doesn't mean you have to
Keep on grinding stay on your hustle
God will give it to you
Back in double

(Verse 1)
When it comes to reaching
I won't stop (wont stop )
Until I reach the top p (top)
Never wanted success badder
I'm climbing up the ladder
Nothing or no one in my way, there's so much more to say
But I'll just remain gracious and humble
When it feels like a royal rumble
1st , 2nd,3rd keep it coming
I'm right here, tired of running
Crossing out things that's optional

(Chorus)
I'm on it ,on it
Yeah a mission
Got to see, my own vision
Make a decision, running out of time
The clocks keeps ticking and then it tocks
Doesn't mean you have to
Keep on grinding stay on your hustle
God will give it to you
Back in double

(Verse2)
This song right here for the go getters
Also motivates the quitters
You can do what you want in life
It's up to you
Be the stick, hold up like glue
Keep it going everyday
Wake up with it,keep the faith
Put some heart into it
Let it flow, and if that's not what you about
Then let it go
Sign your signature on your passion overflow
When you're unstoppable that's the way to go

                          Unstoppable

(Chorus)
I'm on it ,on it
Yeah a mission
Got to see, my own vision
Make a decision, running out of time
The clocks keeps ticking and then it tocks
Doesn't mean you have to
Keep on grinding stay on your hustle
God will give it to you
Back in double

Repeat until Chorus fades

Premium Member Smashing Rules

I guess in the old days, rules were made for
a reason.
Now, attention getters gone amuck like
beings in a quiet room with a loud crashing
season.

Especially when your once best friend,
Takes a hammer to God’s high ceiling
of moral class.
And their once, high written poetry is now
an attraction for poetic, immoral trash.

Premium Member The Winter Cemetery

THE WINTER CEMETERY

Awaken my nightmare!
Cold, wrinkled skin, eye circles beyond care.
Tears of beautiful snow.
O depths to which they go!
A horse and carriage show.
The gate — a cliff of iron bars, mine heir.

The creak of springs, the box —
ornate, carries my frozen heart, on blocks
of ice — my pretty niece.
Oh shroud of snow, I cease
to live - i have no peace!
O that cancerous gong of Winter clocks!

Wrapped in woolen fetters,
I boldly stare at these money-getters.
The doc misdiagnosed,
and the nurse overdosed.
In an icebox — her ghost.
This cemetery shivers with debtors.

She’ll be buried next to
you, beloved son, youth taken by flu.
I lean on the hard chest.
Winter blooms on my breast.
Dear son, I’ll never rest!
Cold stones, for bounty, as my flames accrue.
