Best Fragrant Poems
you say you
love the moon
but it’s the stars
you gaze at,
as you stretch
your petal-like fingers
to flaunt magical phrases
across nocturnal nights~
stealing their
fragrant florescence
within forsaken
liquified lights,
to make them an
unseen reality
worth reading,
as your charming words
woven with
wisteria wishes
protect them
from invisible ink,
that has been
burning empty pages
from fiery flames,
oblivious to the
tangerine truth
not every twinkling gem
can grant your wishes
to flicker caramel gold…
perhaps, you should
see the sacred
scriptures in silver
within lunar spheres,
how she carries
perfumed pain,
whilst remaining faithfully
as a fairy goddess;
beacon of hyacinth hope
when you were
in your
island of ignorance,
speaking the
lyrical language
of dimmed dreams in
sentimental silence
so don’t question her
wounded skin reflecting
confined absence~
nor blame the
sizzling sapphires
with her name sewn,
in vibrant violet
within the crystalline
cage beneath
crooning seas
she was never guilty
of lethal love
nor were her
emerald emotions
manipulative games
designed for
ephemeral pleasures~
she, was in
need of a
sublime rhyme
that can set her
healing heart ablaze,
reignite reasons to relive
promises made amidst
inevitable distance
but if pain prompted
a voice
you’ll feel her
bleeding soul
and her aching sight;
she’s seen so much
of what the dying
leaves and
falling season
could do,
yet, the wind
never revealed
secrets of the
sunflower crescent,
for her tale was never
meant to be
told to the weak~
trees with torn twigs,
too afraid to translate
heartbroken hymns
and eager to place
lambent labels
on wilted weeds
and faded flowers,
unaware of the raven runes
flowing in fickle flares
within their
stone cold skin.

My Beloved,
If the Mediterranean waves, could carry me to your arms,
I'd wake up, to your whispers,enchanted by your charms.
If the Wafting Wind could breeze me to the your bed,
Our longing lips would kiss and hiss,In hungry emotions wed.
If this love i feel, could linger in your Heart,If we could live
our dulcet dreams,escape from fantasies,and never be apart.
If "I "could be with "You",and "You" could be with" Me"
We'd watch the the Stars at night twinkling tranquility,
Sparkling in secret splendor,shining Our blissful destiny.
If we could be together,till the day,"Forever",I'd hold on
to your hand,be your sufficient other,the dedicated lover
and even your bestfriend.I'd be your daily listener,your passion,
your romance,I'd love you to infinity,till the Universal ends.
If We could lie together on Gossamer mattressed lands,
on threaded silken sheets made by cobwebs' perfect hands,
If We could walk,laugh and embrace on gold warm Honeyed Sands.
If we could hear the sweetest sound of shells and pebbles play,
If I could call your name and hear your husky voice in answer
everday,If I could turn around to find you,looking my way,
If I could be with you,and live "the promise" of today,
Tomorrow I'd still be there,a Lavender in your grey.

Lyric
To love you in every fairest moment
and kiss you tenderly in pure delight
to yearn for you when you are absent
and hold you closer in shadowed light
love keeps us fondly in a warm embrace
as dreams within the heart become unsealed
passion will become a familiar face
beneath the sun's flowered fragrant field
we'll be devoted when our arms entwine
like tender green leaves hold the morning's dew
in the dawn soft glow your eyes always shine
hummingbirds slow their flight when they see you
the true beauty found in love is so clear
a bond to be until we disappear

In the hall of clocks and mirrors,
Winds of time bring fragrant whispers,
Of midnights of magic moonlight,
And reflections of past delights!
Of golden days when lost in blooms,
And dancing joy in summer rooms!
A blur of green in woodland scene,
And the purple twilights velveteen.
Time's reversed to infinity,
As ensues with sweet memory.
And heartsongs waft, out of mauve mists,
And all life's seasons coexist!

Each word
From deep within
I heard
Husky
Inaudible;
Musky
The smell
Of perfumed sighs
Chanel.

Verse
Fragrant the petals
Time moves so quickly
the sun comes to play
Caressing my thoughts
on this cold winter day
Soon it will follow
the path of my dreams
While looking for flowers
along gentle streams
A dozen or more
by the waters a’ flow
Fragrant the petals
this morning to show
That this day is special
as one I do care
Is waiting my poem,
my words here to share
For she says she’s never
it’s hard to believe
A Valentine message
her heart to receive
So here I have penned her
a wondrous bouquet
Of poetic flowers
so that I may say
You’ve touched me in ways
I have not known before
Inspired my smile,
my laughter and more
So now I must ask you
if that would be fine
If you would agree to be
my Valentine

(Dedication: For Regina Riddle)

Tree caterpillar crawling
Strong windy debris;
Blown over the bough
~~~~~~~~~
Violet blossoms
Vine decorations dancing;
Sun and breeze move
~~~~~~~~~
Joy wears a face:
Your smiles highlight;
Dazzle of morning
~~~~~~~~~
Hasty scribblings
Poetry in motion;
Grassy blooms unnoticed
~~~~~~~~~
Rose garden memories
Touch of rapture;
Thorny issues exfoliate
~~~~~~~~~
Sweet yellow guava
Pleasant tasty treat;
Oxford Road townhouse
~~~~~~~~~
This old Jasmine tree
Fondly remembers;
Our rowdy flower picking
~~~~~~~~~
Joy wears a face
Nature reveals seasons;
Change comes to all
~~~~~~~~~
Look to strange change
To re-jig feelings;
Afternoon rain respite
~~~~~~~~~
Be of good cheer
Bear with bad weather;
Dance with danger
~~~~~~~~~
Mid-autumn frolic
Peace in kind harvest;
Moon cakes and moonlight
~~~~~~~~~
Ghosts of lovers past
Touch of fond rapture;
Breezy plumeria garden
~~~~~~~~~
Voice in the wind
Fragrant with rain;
Black clouds threaten
~~~~~~~~~
Evening stroll
Hand-in-hand;
Plumeria flowers preside
~~~~~~~~~
So much to discern
Harmony trees here;
Gardens By The Bay
~~~~~~~~~
Evening serenade
Cicadas and frogs;
Sounds at nightfall
~~~~~~~~~
Orchard Boulevard stroll
Sense surrounds;
Fragrant touch sifting
~~~~~~~~~
Two yellow butterflies
Fluttering between shrubs;
Sky Bridge tower above
Haiku surprise
Or senryu moment;
Experience reveals
Observe dear heart
What nature shows;
See things clearly
Spring adds a fragrant freshness to the air
as earthy aromas waft 'neath the snow;
and sunlight melts away Winter's despair.
Daffodils contribute color and flare;
and as balmy breezes bashfully blow,
Spring adds a fragrant freshness to the air.
Snowdrifts dwindle to patches barely there;
and frozen rivers once more start to flow,
as sunlight melts away Winter's despair.
Wildflowers start sprouting up everywhere;
and as snowdrops, tulips and crocus grow,
Spring adds a fragrant freshness to the air
The land no longer looks so bleak and bare;
on tawny trees, green buds begin to show,
as sunlight melts away Winter's despair.
A treat to the senses, scented and rare;
bell-shaped lily-of-the-valley hangs low.
Spring adds a fragrant freshness to the air;
as sunlight melts away Winter's despair.
Villanelle
Nascent pristine hopes sprout stealthily
from the submerged swamps of anxieties,
parched earth frets over consequences
to fuel naive hopes into realities of void
burdened with the clutter of aged promises,
fervent wind denies hope to flourish
effervescence of faith sustains the sapling.
I shiver at my failed encounters,
lost desires from broken promises;
you radiate truth with a divine Aurora
calming my perturbed oceans of scars,
soothing whispers dissolving delusions.
Your promise of a love that lasts forever
blooms with my infant hope born yet again
in my ancient orchard of disappointments,
perhaps hope is an everlasting promise too.
When my hallucinations overtake my existence
you bridge my fantasies with visible world
and fuse my bliss with your intuition.
Unfulfilled promises, superfluous allegations
in a world where none volunteers to be a promise.
You erase my hazy visions of torn pages
and color them with your dripping love.
Two parallel waves in unison moving forth
rising with crests and falling with troughs
merging in the tranquility of a shore afar
next to the ocean enchanted by seagulls
guiding my lost spirit in storms with your light.
My hopes have grown into a lush fir tree
swaying with your glistening smiles.
You become my universe peeking into imaginations
of my stories, melodies, musings at nights;
and when I return to reality you wait
with my sublime corner by your side,
my book of musings flourishes by your essence.
Perhaps humans should keep their promises,
I believe theirs too get fulfilled someday.
I smile every time the fir tree drenches me
dissolving the fragrance of musk-soaked love
in raindrops and snowflakes of your promise--
To be the love that retains the existence of
everlasting hope in this world-- your promise..
Dive inside the rainbow
fill your hair up with
sorrow.
Let go of the wind and
follow the sound of
haunting wolves.
Let your demons collapse
you, and your bitter angels
astounded words from
your holly lips.
Green leaves sailing across
the heaven sky.
I sometimes wish I was free
falling never looking down
just spreading my wings making
lonely dove sounds.
Holly sea where does the
sunset cry?
Why must we rain again?
Our broken rocks are
breathing.
Under us this sand and
toll.
Thunder is a rolling in
better turn your eyes
toward the north.
Save the wind.
Mother Earth,
if I could have just one more day,
I would change the weather for a better way.
I am a rose and a sailor,
cold and torn, but I win
the fragrant color, the lessons
blend as one.
A smell like lunches cooked by Gran -
oh, boy, my mouth will water still -
the veggies boiling in the pan
and roasted beef - I'd eat my fill,
and marvel at her skill.
Dessert was always clotted cream
on heaps of fruit she'd stewed;
It's wafting now...alas, but only in my dream,
recalling Gran's fantastic food,
and how she cooked for all the brood.
When in pain,
It seems our life is only pain
And it is hard to see a place
With no pain.
Don't feed a pain
By looking at all the other pains
That in your life you can locate
Find the sane.
Find the cane to stand up again
Let your eyes rest upon flowery terrain
A happy place.
If it rains
Think of it as God's cleaning day
Smell the fresh smell of it and regain
A fragrant domain.
Rhyme
Sitting under the pale pink running rose
At the end of a beautiful Autumn Day
Searching for inspirational sonnet to compose
For my love who lives in heaven's way
To me He's like a honeysuckle vine
Blooming in the month of May
Sweetly fragrant essence among the pines
He's like the gold of mountains that's refine
To me He's like the babbling brook
Sweetly singing in tune
For everything in heaven He forsook
Fo prove His love for me is beyond the moon
Words cannot describe my love for Him
But daily I'll try to draw close in His realm
