Premium Member We Push the Pen

We push the pen to make you feel
the gentle tapping of the falling rain,
the stinging burn of the summer sun
the heavy heart of despair and pain.

We push the pen to make you see
the vibrant orange of a monarch wing,
the secretive soul hidden in our eyes,
the golden sunrise in early morning.

We push the pen to make you taste
the sweetness of love's first kiss,
the bitterness of heartbreaking defeat
the richness of pure chocolate bliss.

We push the pen to make you hear
the clear waters babbling in the brook,
the forgotten laughter of our inner child
the cracking spine of a brand new book.

We push the pen to make you savor
the pungent petals of the red rose,
the crisp aroma of a tart green apple
the autumn air that excites the nose.

We each push the pen in different ways
with our own tone of voice and mystique,
an art form that no other can duplicate,
no right or wrong, just wonderfully unique.

Premium Member Dawns Gifts

Silver shimmers
   reflected by the sea
When dawn kisses each
    silhouetted tree.
As sunrise pierces
    fleecy clouds of blush
A canvass bides the
    eager artist's brush.

Our Banyon bids adieu
    to fowl in flight...
Their songs reverberate
    in morning light
Attesting to the joy
    each dawn excites
In explosive colors
    which Sol ignites.

As breezes blow through
    azure skies above
I share divinely Dawn's
     sweet gifts of love.

You are the rich color in my cheeks
The brilliance in my ecstatic smile
The elation in my expression of joy
The sincerity in my sweetest hope
You are the glory that sighs when I sing
A song of love that lives deep within
Where you have colored my world
In hues of inspirational truths

You are the balance of black and white
The realization that God is so alive
The gentle grasp of pleasure that ignites
The purest peace filling up my insides
You are the rousing splendor that excites
Beckoning me with so much insight
Welcoming my heart to know your truth
And dance with a jubilant fire that burns for you

You are the whisper of encouraging prose
The anchor that holds me through every storm
The imagination that keeps me inspired with verse
The creativity that winds its way through my spirit
You are the gentle touch that embraces my faith
A sensitivity that brings me friendship and elation
Reflections of promise to bring serenity and peace
Echoes of hope that soothe my weary anxiety

You are the one who makes my world complete
With you, I know God answers prayers for those
Who simply believe – He brings two together
Completing their search for that miracle that is
A union of souls – two hearts becoming one!

Premium Member Life According To Miss Ooh-La-La

She sits perched, like a gorgeous gargoyle, upon the boulder
splotched with spots of mint chocolate ice cream moss - the wind tasting
her lovely locks as if it were spicy cinnamon straight off the tree.
It excites the senses (to put it frankly) watching her gaze
pierce the sapphire roof of the world
with a challenge to be met.

Or was it the twinkle in her smile
that shone like polished ivory, reminding me of the legalities
of elephantine tusks, and the slippery slope of falling
for that gracious grin and hallowed hope.

It could just be, she's got a lasso on my heart,
that takes delight in my vertigo - flipping and flopping
much like an oval shaped wheel.
I'd ask her to grease the hinges, or go back to the drawing board,
but to tell the truth - it adds character to the path
digging dangerously into the dirt dutifully
causing a spray of pebbles to the face of normalcy.

It could just be, that letting go ain't in her vocabulary,
reeling me in like a big fish story in one of those backwater
little ponds, that spawn such discrepancy.
I'd say she's a catch, but that would be cheesy
(though that does bring to mind her chef-like tendencies,
plopping strawberries on my tongue with little tidbits
of Wisconsin sharp cheddar)
It could just be, that life according to Miss Ooh-La-La
couldn't get any better ...

... then again it could just be
I'm waxing eloquently.

Premium Member Rites of Harvest Moon --Hexsonnetta

When harvest moon alights,
to sail like gauzy lace
on through a cloud’s embrace...
I watch her mystic rites,
as beaming, she excites
my lithesome hours of grace.

How glorious the view
atop a mountain crowned…
with lilies all around
that settle on her queue,
beguiling eve, anew
when sparklers reach the ground.

Till weaves of dawn advance
which ends fine Luna’s trance.

Summer Nights

The smell of the summer night air
Takes me back to times we shared
You and I dancing beneath the moon
Crickets playing a lovers tune

Trees full with lush green leaves
Whispering poetry to you and me
A view from beneath a Missouri bluff
Talking of passion, love, and lust

Your hand in mine strolling the path
Sitting on the deck and looking back
Picnic tables and barbecue grills
Driving and parking, is this for real?

My memory’s filled with your sweet love
Do you remember that snow white dove?
A kiss goodnight under a star filled sky
Best friends forever, a promise, no lie

It excites me to think that every year
Whether life or memory I return here
We will create magic again I know
On a summer night in the moon’s soft glow

Take Me Again

Take me again…

Take me… for I am nothing without you
Tease my desires with your fingers a’ wander
Upon quivering flesh, shivering needs cry
All of this is yours, deeply offered, rhythmically played

Bite me… little marks to revisit at dawn
My chest, my thighs, my soul pleads
Drinking of this passion, thirsting for more
Peering up at you, wings flutter within my heart

Use me… as I lay here, hands lifting
Slow circles encompass warm breaths
Moaning eclipses bring edged light from outer visions
Cupped of fevered frenzy and firm decisions

Ride me… I am your stallion, unsaddled, unbridled
Grip my mane, tear at my shoulders, guide me to that valley
Where whispering willows sway in mahogany waves
Finding the depths of your heightened encampment

Scream me… my name on your lips excites
When the comet appears and streaks the sky
Flashing sparks meld between us shimmering, erupting
in a cosmic flow, lava escapes in hot pulsating streams

Take me again… for I am nothing without you

Good night Soupers

Love Is

Love is that enticing roller coaster ride we just can’t resist,
and no matter the danger we stubbornly persist.
It scares and excites us all at the same time.
It’s a feeling totally sublime.

We relish its many new thrills
but we cry when it suddenly chills.
Yet we’ll happily buy another ticket
and run to it lickety-splicket.

We never ever tire of its heavenly bliss,
craving its passionate kiss
as it makes our hearts beat faster and faster,
'til it has become our Master.

Yes, love is the ride of a lifetime
and worth every single dime.

Warm Glow of Christmas Past

Return again warm glow of Christmas past,
Rekindle precious times I hold so dear.
Transport me back and let my mind be cast
On golden memories of yesteryear.

A fir tree trimmed with fragile fairy lights
Illuminates an angel’s modest smile,
The mystery of secret gifts excites,
Though childhood dreams must slumber yet awhile.

Outside, a serenade of Christian souls
Regales our hearts with warm uplifting voice;
‘Oh little town of Bethlehem’ extols
The Saviour who gives reason to rejoice.

And those I’ve loved commemorate once more
The wonder of those Christmases of yore.

Whiskey Lips So Sublime

Whiskey Lips step now over the line of true fire-water,
As a warm-burning brings forward one glowing sign.
The golden mead of sweet mountain dew appears now,
As each golden drop sighs it moment of escape and as
The alcohol signals and sparks the wildest of spirits in
One’s own true self!

This moment of sublime ecstasy excites and sparks your
Deepest inner-spirit and you begin to slur and sing loudly,
As your mind begins to reel from the drunken delight of
Your very own intoxicating breaths—noble, yet stupid,
As you become drunken forever under each psychic sip
You taketh from the deepest pool in the very depths of
Your eternal soul!

Your very eyes now glaze over a breathless message
You have found in the cheapest of whiskey bottles.
Saying a divine prayer to Almighty God Himself,
You open the bottle cork now and take notice that a
Little genie pops out of nowhere and begins to take all
Three of your mythic wishes granted together into one!

With that, this little genie shall begin dancing and singing
An ancient Irish whiskey song in your presence into the
Wee hours of the morning until you both pass out and fall
Into a drunken stupor with your whiskey lips so sublime!

Premium Member Why, When, Where, How and Whom?

Why He loves me, I can’t imagine.
Why He blesses me, I am unsure.
Why He values me, I don’t know.
Why He lights my soul, is unknown!

When He stills the winds, I listen.
When He moves the heart, I pray.
When He forgives my sins, I’m thankful.
When He smiles on me, I’m filled with praise!

Where He goes, I will follow.
Where He is, I long to be.
Where He exalts, I feel certain.
Where He promises, I can breath!

How He inspires me, I can’t describe.
How He stirs my heart – excites.
How He lights the dark, enthuses.
How He saves my soul – truly gratifies!

Whom He says He is – He is!
Whom He blesses, is blessed indeed!
Whom He saves, is saved forever!
Whom He is – He is King and Savior!

Love’s Dilemma

Happy one minute
Sad the next
Speaks volumes
To the constant
Ebb and Tide
Of what’s called
Love’s Dilemma.

When two people
Meet and fall
Deeply in love
Passions abound
Emotions afire
Whilst they bask
In true desire.

Love’s power
Can heal
Can hurt
It’s magic
May enchant
May mesmerize
And surprise!

Love’s passion
Excites us
Teases us
Reveals us
Stirs emotions
Makes us
Feel whole.

The bargain is
It takes two
To tango
To love
To want
To have
To hold.

And always
To be bold
To love—
Unconditionally
With your mind
With your heart
With your soul!

Premium Member Aching For Love

She sits alone in quiet of the night
as thoughts of him wrap ‘round her yearning heart,
and whispers ‘cross her skin; her flesh excites
while longing for his touch when they’re apart.

She yearns to gaze into his eyes of blue
while feeling his caress engulf her soul,
and have their hearts eclipse as love renews;
she longs for his return to make her whole.

She reaches for her parchment and her quill
to iterate her feelings and her doubts;
for him to know her longing thoughts instill,
and from this poet's pen, a poem pours out,

“My lonely spirit aches while you’re away,
and longs to feel your love as hearts replay.”

Premium Member Alliteration For Poets

Alliteration always awesome
Ballad beyond barnyard basics
Crystalline calls careful consonants,

Diamante delivers deeply
Enthusiasm excites eager ears,
Fanciful frolicking faerie

Generously gives grateful glee
Hyping haiku to heavenly heights,
Imagery and imagination

Jubilantly jumping joyfully,
Kimo kindles king-sized kingpin,
Lamenting the lily-livered lunacy

Momentous muse modulates melody,
Necromancer normalizes Neverland,
Opulent Opalescent orchestras opt

To pollute poetry previously pristine.
Quixotic quorum of questioners
Respond and recover rhymes rapidly

Serendipitous sentimentality
Turns timely tanka traitorously toward
Unmistakably understated Uranus,
Vindicating verses vilifying Vashti.

Whacking wannish warblers west,
‘Xaggerating ‘Xtemperaneous X’tra special poems
Yet yielding a yeomanly yearning toward
A zealous zany zingaroo of zest.

do you love yellow

Bees, dear bees
Prefer the yellow,
Don’t ask me
Why!
Yellow attracts you
More than the blue,
Yellow makes them tender
More than red,
The yellow excites them,
Less than mauve,
Bees are amazing,
Dear bees,
They prefer yellow,
It is the color of honey,
They prefer yellow, the sun,
It is the color of sunflower,
Ah really, dear bees,
You are obsessed,
You only think about it, like me,
Yellow makes you happy,
It suits you so well, ah really
What a joy to be a bee
In a rape field.
Or on a simple mimosa.
On a common barbarian
Or in a lemon tree.
Like a ray of sunshine.
You’re taking my heart.
