Best Encroaches Poems

Premium Member The Voices Echo In Emptiness

With a sigh summer citrine sky turned green
spontaneously into existence.
Autumn's palette adds changes and are seen
to its systematic experience.

Stars shiver in fear on the coldest night.
Voices in the darkness look for refuge;
heaven bound birds gather in distant flight
sailing through winds dusty powdered steel rouge.

The long day is dead; voices won't let me sleep.
Hush. Hush. The voices echo in emptiness.
Whiff of sandalwood lost in shadows deep.
The voices know my loneliness, the nothingness.

Amber encroaches the dawning of morning fight
through window curtains the whitest lace of light.

Premium Member Threshold of Madness

The cold hand of Winter swiftly approaches
Its breath etches frost on my windowpanes
Nearer my threshold, Death now encroaches

Blood is slowly chilling inside my frail veins
Reaper's wild winds pelts hail on my roof
His breath etches frost on my windowpanes

Snowdrifts climb higher on the sills in reproof
Huddled in a corner, my fear is spurred
Reaper's wild winds pelts hail on my roof

This room is the chamber where I'll be interred
On the threshold of madness, I'm losing grip
Huddled in a corner, my fear is spurred

Winter's hand has caused a temperature dip
I flinch at the sound of a knock on my door
On the threshold of madness, I'm losing grip

Terror incites me to curse what I abhor
The cold hand of Winter swiftly approaches
I flinch at the sound of a knock on my door
Nearer my threshold, Death now encroaches

Premium Member Tears in Vacant Rooms

Written: March 05, 2025

         ***********************

As the final petal droops
upon quivering leaves,
while the soul begins to decay
akin to the evening lights
fading into a coffin.
Tears flow quietly across vacant rooms,
sheltered in the hidden retreat,
of a hapless fool folly.
Aged and forsaken, an ancient blade lies
on a ragged oak table.
All around the termite-ridden
floorboards are strewn with
tattered sheets of stories.
Valiant voices of victory,
vibrate in vivid verses,
preserved with lively Ink.

Decades of disarray have faded away,
leaving behind a cherished tale,
its inked revelations whirl into a frenzy,
as I peer through the glass,
reminiscing about those golden days
when my youth overflowed with joy.
I couldn't assist but notice
the drooping scarlet dahlias.
A gleaming golden crown,
sparkling with lovely
crimson queens
rests upon the head of a forlorn exile—
and that is all that remains.
Under the relentless sun
that preys upon the flames,
how can I rise above
the crimson chaos
that encroaches at the edges,
surrounding the ghostly grave
of the poetic soul
I have lost in the quest for acclaim.

Within the weeping window,
a wild wonder reveals itself,
draped in a vivid shade of vermilion.
Amid the whispers of wayward spirits,
the flawless porcelain of our past
now bears unsightly marks.
Fractured dreams are embellished
with delicate threads, while shafts of
sunlight slices through shadowy skies.
The family fortress,
frozen in cold stone,
waits for its wary wanderer,
beckoning the illustrious
to traverse its dimly paths.
In the serene silence of slumber,
the sorrowful saga emerges.

The embrace of eternal sleep.
A chilling chronicle of the collapse
cascades in the corridors
akin to a haunting harmony.
The aspiration and avarice
ultimately overwhelmed us
As the clock chimed cheerfully
at midnight on that chilling night,
the cunning usurper brandished
a blade and brutally
broke their beings,
birthing ghosts of grim,
unspoken words to weep
behind weathered walls.
At this moment, I am
the emerald evening
of the early dawn,
The waxen white wick
that waits before their
weathered tombstone is
withered to a whisper.

Frozen

Life is frozen, an endless winter night
My heart, deep inside, pumps slower now
My bones are brittle, as the cold encroaches
Locked in a sheath of frigid ice

Frost runs down the window panes
Of my soul, scarring me with a terrible beauty
Snow falls into the empty catacombs
Of my mind, covering up my path

The north wind takes the breath from me
And the chill runs all down my spine
A dark grey sky, no warmth to be found
The whiteness crunches sadly beneath my feet

Embrace the freeze, for there is no escape
From this sharp pain, this clear, bright pain
Feel the bleak and wintry gloom envelop all
Numbing limbs, I am quiet now, glacial and still

A ghost wind blows across the windswept tundra
Of my thoughts, until thinking slows then stops
Now waiting in pale hope for the Sun’s rays to melt
Away this cold, till life is frozen no more

Premium Member The Poets' Song

The silent dark encroaches
with another hollow night.
Old poets whisper sonnets
of love and sacrifice.

Her lips move to each arduous verse;
the emptiness advances.
Crescendos find their soaring crests.
A taunting shadow dances.

The moment lingers at a peak
then brings a slow descent.
And as the final stanza bows
her yearning heart relents.

Her memory finds his gentle face.
His voice resounds a vow.
And a quiet faith moves through her
expelling any doubt.

Soon her love will cross the sea;
his promises to keep.
Until that time, the poets sing
and soothe her soul to sleep.

Oblivion's Obituary Mty

…the greatest poet who ever lived
…our Lord Jesus Christ

Wishes that wash upon the shallow shore,
Lacrimal lesions of the holographic whore…
Tectonic temptations, the lava shall pour,
Unleashing emotions, entombed we gore.

Mangled monuments of ruins regurgitate,
Surfacing megalomania of demons dominate…
Demonic destruction encroaches to infiltrate,
Demigods of desire will position to penetrate.

Distant horizons dissipating within plain sight,
Frigid frustrations amidst fore playing frostbite…
Detestation distortions of Hell’s agape appetite,
Antagonizing warring Angels take feverous flight.

Falling into oblivion within the blink of an eye,
Idempotent illusions making macabre to justify…
But there stands one soul, whose words do magnify,
Their love spreading thru asphyxiating air to clarify.

Premium Member In Twilight's Shadows

My shadow grew longer as the sun bid me 'farewell.'
Beneath my rowan tree in dour thoughts, I shall dwell.
I curse life for her heartless schemes
for now shattered and frayed, are my dreams.
I become eager to touch the breast of twilight
as fog encroaches to shield me in the shadows of night.
Do not pity the gasp of my last breath
for then we'll both feel the agonizing misery of my death.
Pity is not an emotion in which I choose to wallow,
though I choke on the edge of anguish, a scream I swallow.

To Touch the Breast of Twilight

On the Edge of Anguish

Brainstorm-Finding Abigail

Finding Abigail

“Abigail! ~Abigail!...where are you, my love?
I can’t see you, nor smell you, let alone touch you…”

A nebulous cloud encroaches the corridors of mind,
Where a fallacious hope seeks its refuge in silence.

“Abigail! Is that you? I thought I heard someone talking…”

Disembodied voices revel throughout the empty voids,
Existence in the grand abyss impenetrable from both sides.

“Abigail, I know you care about me…I can’t see you,
but I hear you…I remember the time we met my sweet,
the sky and air stood still until we embraced…
then came the fireworks…we must still be there, for all I see
is smoke my dearest…Abigail! come back my love,
 I’ve lost you in the smog!”

Illusions begging resolutions, the marginal mind wanders,
Taking with it memories of what used to be,
but now has been abandoned.

“Abigail my love…I’m afraid…can you hold my hand my sweet?
this is no good, I can’t reach you…where are you…Abigail!?”

The subject is going into Cardiac arrest… convulsions are increasing!...
We are losing him! Quickly flush with at least 20ml of 0.9% sodium chloride…

“Abigail my dearest…I can see you…so beautiful you are…come to me
My love…come closer...let us start anew.”

Nurse, prepare him for surgery…there is a good chance we may save him…”yes Doctor.”

“Abigail! Abigail! ...I’m losing you, my love…come back, come bac, com…”

He’ll be OK now…we saved him, but sadly he will still be enslaved by love…

Appetizers

APPETIZERS

It licks it's raspy way across the land,
and peeks around and drools at our abode.
A plume of ash to blacken every man,
and leaves our children standing in the road.
Devours hot crackling sounds in baby's ear,
with lullaby of death, it encroaches.
It swallows cozy shelter, dock, and pier,
drying up our lake as it approaches.
Then feasting on all creatures great and small,
it spits out raw bones, or glass, and metal.
No blaze can chew on such metallic squall,
nor munch the bones of Grimm's, bravest Gretel.
A ravenous and lively old fire beast,
pops us down as hors d'œuvres for the feast.

Land of Koalaroaches

Fond of the Koalas and scared of the roaches
                             She was shot to the land of Koalaroaches
                                        First thing she could do
                                           Bopeep peekaboo
                          Koalas said "hey buddies someone encroaches"

Sunset

I move amongst the leaves in the evening,
My sunset low and golden encroaches.
Moments mark its rays saturating on
Places made special for its attention.

I can sense it breathing behind the trees,
Greater golden light, I can feel its mind,
As if it has come home by agreement,
Fulfilling its covenant to return.

Generous friend, giver of life – behold!
The ancients worshipped you for good reason,
Countless golden photons, delivered like
Jewels, alighting amongst the shadows.

Bury me in the evening, wrapped in gold,
Like a pharaoh with you I am content.

Something Bigger Than Myself

A serene succumbing through windows pane
In morning solitudes of the secreting scarlet sun
Where love penetrates partitions of the past
Riding on the refulgent rays of luculent light
~~~
Orbs of passion permeate the twilight realm
As they tease & scintillate the nocturnal night
Lustrous luminants that toy with our lament
In the end, giving in to our deserving desire
~~~
Love, what have thou brought me…unaware?
For I am a slave to your thespian thoughts
A mere mortal capable of salving seductive sin
The carnivorous consciousness encroaches still
~~~
Within paleolithic promiscuous planes of plight
A vixen Vesuvius volcano erotically erupts
I am engulfed by the luscious lingering lava
Now petrified, entombed by love’s Majesty.
Don'T Give Up
Sinking in a deep abyss where hope feels lost,
And dreams  slowly dissolve , counting not the cost.
Behold there stands a spirit, undeterred, unshaken,
Let your spirit soar as your passion is awakened.
Through the many trials and  when doubts assail,
And tears flow freely like countless raindrops frail,
Be a  beacon of strength, with  an unwavering flame,
Don't look back but  let your dreams remain the same.
The road maybe long and winding as  obstacles unfold,
But deep within there's a fire of truths untold.
A spirit that's  unyielding as it rises and take its stand,
Ushering the dawn of a new day , for greatness  is at hand.
And in those dire moments with burdens seem so vast,
When voices echo all is lost, and time is moving  too fast,
With sweat on brow, let your tears be  mixed  with grit,
With a strong resolve, let the world know,  your spirit won't quit.
For in  the deep recesses of your heart, lies a warrior's might,
A  great will to conquer all and  rise in the night,
To boldly face the odds  with courage that is so  untamed,
And a gateway  to your destiny of dreams not maimed.
When doubts whisper softly and beg you to yield,
And darkness encroaches all round making wounds unhealed,
Summon your soul for all its worth and let your resilience awake,
Dare to hold on with all your might for dreams are at stake.
And when this  world seems to  forget and cast you away,
Remember that you have the  strength, you need to face each day.
Don't  be discouraged for not even a minute  for within you lies,
The power to soar  to new heights and  reach the  skies.
So stand tall with purpose amidst life's  cruel tempestuous sea,
And with unwavering fortitude , let your spirit be free,
Embrace every challenge that rears its head,
 Don't give up! never back down, press on instead.
