Dewed BackdropFragrance of twilight
drips like honey
on prairie’s mantle,
lingering through bushes
while stenciled stars
etch pastel montage
of wind's backdrop,
lush upon amber
reflecting hued silhouette
through wild grass
and virgin roses...
For a moment...
time freezes
giving way
to mother moon
bestowing her splendour,
the last night-keeper
of mankind
and dewed prairies...
I find myself
one amongst them
at the border
of creation,
when twilight’s fragrance
sails...
