Third Person

He speaks metaphorically to avoid dealing direct,
shows the unknown hand he’s against too much respect,
writes about his bravery though it’s no where to detect
or talks in the third person like this I'd expect.

Going on about himself like it’s happening to someone else,
distanced from reality his distracted mind plays stealth,
deflecting the desperation straying from his fails,
because being himself is hell with his fractured mental health.

You’d think he would try to save it but instead he stays away,
doesn’t acknowledge the slaying, writing on as if okay,
creates a situation where he has the final say,
when really just a coward putting himself on display.

He must have found comfort writing this because it's structured,
a new angle on the old tale nothing more than a distraction,
because as soon as it finishes he's back to a spineless buster,
hiding from conflict comforting another poor reaction.

How long will he go on paving this path of pathetic,
in a dangerous direction purposely neglected,
there’s the renegade he speaks of, self elected,
walking towards death being naturally selected.

But deep in this metaphor he doesn’t change a thing,
in his head it’s someone else or a tale of some thing.

Unfulfilling Love

Dormant desires within derelict deserts’
Winds whispering of your selective stealth
Frozen fingers that chill the empty spaces
Longing for you a pacifier of thickened thorns
Discombobulation drives the day
Your mendacious love marooned on dusty dunes
Secluded silhouettes stranded
Mystifying mirages migrating
Only sacrificial shadows scream
Where your love mutates into a holographic hollow
Desolation within a Venus vacuum
An anemic vampire
Erotic deceptions dominate deflecting desires
Eruptive emotions have no place to tread
For your unfulfilling love, a puff of smoke
In a hellion hole.

Looking On Fondly...

Where the aura shines in subdued tones
    Overlooked tones were these
Purple...murmured brilliance
Austere vivid visual
Captivating subtly... smiling shyly

Deflecting the praise
gliding through days, easily flowing
floating
Lovely, imperfectly graceful
Cries on whim, laughs like songs
Affectionate laugh....contagious laugh
I love to make her laugh

Selfless, sensitive angel
  arms wrap delicate
    nurturing, healing embrace
See's unseen, unsaid and solves...
...somehow

    Selfless, sensitive angel
       arms wrap delicate
           I long for your embrace

Dont Be a Trust Dispenser

Thinks he's on some cool ish
But really on some bull ish
The type of dude that
You want nothing to do with

This is the type of dude
That will promise you everything
Wont deliver anything
& use excuses endlessly
He'll be acting like a boss
As he undermines your cause
Sometimes you just gotta cut ties n walk
& Whats really wack, is when hes needed most,
Is when he busts out the o'llllll dissapearing act
I say screw him pshhh, who cares where hes at
Coming back deflecting blame & trying to make you carry that
All hes got is this,
Inflateted sense of confidence
And poppin his ballon
Shouldnt take you too long and
Dont benifit him....
Straight to hater mode
No cash to spend....
Straight to do me a favor mode
Behind bars again.....
Staight to  prayer mode
Guess mr untouchable
Got caught up in the danger zone
Who needs enimies, with friends like these
This guy all types of nuts, like trader joes

Thinks hes on some cool ish
But really on some bull ish
The type of dude that
You want nothing to do with

Dont let all of his kindness jestures
impress ya
& turn you into a trust despenser
Youll regret the
day you let your guard down,
yes he will pretend to, be genuine
Then switch  up from jeckyll 2 hyde
In a few seconds Time, his agendas
to convince ya that hes dependa-
Bull, which is bull, I bet when ya, first met him,
The impression that he left ya
with is a confident man with all the answers like alexa
But guess what
The less ya put creadance into the the things hes speakin
the better off youll be in the long run, yessir

Premium Member The Gray Pods

In pods, pale and emaciated-
muscles atrophied,
their eyes behind thick goggles
deflecting stroboscopic lights-
they sit for hours with empty smiles.

Each human in a private pod
lost in grounded bliss:
every want and need, fulfilled
by technological AI wonders;
instant information and amusement.

Touch of a button simulation
to other places via virtual reality-
the world unto themselves;
lives filled with at-whim commands;
their necessities- delivered by drones.

A bleak view- future existence;
lone humans in gray sunless pods.
Traveling to unknown places-
eyes blinded from reality
heading for grim, robotic essence.

Mine's Bigger Than Yours

My golden ego soars higher than yours
I can hold my breath longer underwater
of course,
because my publican lungs are stronger than yours
I can outshout your taxing voice
to the heavens with a prideful text roar
I’m the big button lying king,
that’s for truth ducky sure
Everything I have is bigger than yours
Exaggeration is a lawsuit I wear well,
fancy-laced shegnanians is the shoes I boot you with —
Patent leather pardon free get-out-of-jail
Put a deflecting shine on the witness stand,
make the gullible masses
see me as being smarter than I really am
I bigly roll with the donor class society swells
I take a bigger leak from my Wall Street
inside trader executive bathroom Tower mole tell
My greed is bigger than yours ...
Got great white sharkey needs,
on little flunky guppies I love to gorge
My cyber jaws are bigger than life,
that’s why
Tricky Twitter Moby Dick I
voted for myself ruble roulette twice
I’m a most unpopular populist prez
with no moral boundaries
Don’t try to fence me in,
make me chicken scratch fake news little again
My nihilistic narcissism is bigger than yours,
you best believe
I can sexually harass
better than Willie Boy Clinton
could ever achieve
I’m a business caveman
whose twin brass clubs are bigger than yours
I’ll take your woman,
and with a misogynist leash make her walk on all fours
My serial debts
are bankrupt corrupt much bigger than yours
I bowl a perfect money laundry game
with a mob marked counterfeit score
Mine covetousness is so much bigger than yours
Got more trophy wives than you do,
so king me on the divorce checkerboard
My nuclear button boasts are bombastic bigger than yours ...
and I’ll blow you out the water onto barren refugee shores,
if you don’t lip bow unbutton inflate —
Balloon buffoon infatuate on the dreams I daily tweet snore

Premium Member Valentine Mischief

No one at home on Valentine’s Day, our lips were already locked.
Getting used to being alone, our plans would have left you shocked.
Back from vacation, the Basement Trolls came strolling in, our night was lost.
But wait! My Hubby had planned ahead, perhaps we were still star-crossed.

Unleash the Closet Trolls his voice rang out! I’m sending you on patrol!
To the rescue came his brand new chums. The Closet Trolls were in control.
He knew he was ahead, in this game, as he got back to soundly kissing me.
Deflecting the Big Trolls? No Luck, or had you already forgot? You’ll see…

First they decided to chase the squirrels away from around, our window trees.
It began to look a bit like the Circus Soleil, rather than, our bedroom fantasies.
I think we may have started a war, between the Closet Trolls and the squirrels.
This became a possibility, as Trolls fell into the birdbath, as the water swirled.

All we’d meant, was to distract the Basement Trolls, from finding us in progress.
But they came up for a better view, and yep, that was us, they found breathless.
Now giving up on all our plans, Circus Trolleil became the topic of the day.
So we sent the Basement Trolls into the fray, to make peace for all, in any way.

Next year, we’ll convince them to stay, on vacation in the snow another week.
And then the Closet Trolls will be sent to guard the zoo across town, so to speak.
Now don’t be surprised, we’d had a good time… the kisses were really great.
But, a little more would have been a great treat, for oldsters like us, at any rate.

In the mean time, Circus Troleil will be a truly happening thing, coming real soon.
Grandpa Troll made a truce between the squirrels and the Closet Trolls. Thank You!
Now, they practice together every day, for a Vegas debut, soon, with Mac Raccoon.
And Valentines Day can be planned, as a small little get away, later, as opportune.

I'M Sorry Goodbye

Denied an unspoken moment
If I were only "granted" the chance
The right suspiciously stolen
Upon your untimely-you left
My heart pierced, laden with leftover guilt
A wound not completely healed
Tears descend out of broken windows
My troubled essence hardly feels
Anguish I refused to admit
Looking past my face
Avoiding my reflection's gaze
Attempting to ignore my personal distaste
I remember clearly the fourth day
Though it was truly my first
More enraged at being the last to know
I wallowed in a selfish hurt
So ANGRY
Praying it an unpleasant joke, deflecting
Snatching the band of trust off my non-right hand
I've beseeched to be forgiven
Feeling no "You are"
Wish strongly time could reverse
To days before you resigned from existing
residing in the seed of my grief
So you, I can release you to peace
Exit the abyss that consumed me
Get over the growing mountain before me
Now I apologized hauntingly
I must traverse around to get past
What I naught gotten over
 Loved you so much so
Must let you go
Uncertain if you knew
My apology, my sable shade, love unexpressed
Never received the chance
Foe the truth of my words
To embrace your final ears
I'm sorry. Goodbye.

We Are Responsible

We Are Responsible
Sandy Hook, so many children murdered,
I saw Obama cry. Gaza today hundred of
children murdered blown into the air like
ragdolls, broken limbs empty eyes; does
Obama cry today? Brothers can you spare
a tear so easily spilt when watching a film
on TV, for the children of Gaza? Or are you
sinking into apathy, blaming the victims?

This ghetto revolt, this time we cannot say
“We didn´t know,” wringing our damp hands
finding excuses, deflecting the cause of this
slaughter, but to no avail, we are responsible!
What happens in Gaza now will toll far into
the future and demand its exact retribution.

Deflection

DEFLECTION

bouncing your beams
deflecting your light
off that bright white
stone you call
home

flesh hung bones show
life’s hidden sorrows
in the chambers of
a likeminded
soul

nude as chicken necks
they will come to peck
words from your heads
Scarlet brain
flowers

flydiving
soarfalling
death is unworthy
the final call to
amnesia births

candles of
remembrance
will only serve
to gulp down
remaining flickers
of deflected
light
as blood blooms
clean
once again

Last line, Angels Watching Over Me, by Amy Grant

Although I have never seen one, I believe in angels.
I believe that they serve God's bidding and our benefit.

Although when they encountered people in the Bible,
They invoked fear; but they were quick to create calm.

I would cite an armed robbery on the streets of Chicago
As my first encounter with a life-threatening experience.

In the dark of night, two youths approached me with a gun
Demanding money. They took $90 from me, and I was blessed

To walk away with life and limbs. I saw no angel, but I believe
That one was surely present, deflecting chaos and creating calm.

Imperfections

IMPERFECTIONS

why do they want you more
now that you have left than
they have ever wanted
you before

does the pain of you leaving
give them some kind of
perverse pleasure

are they more afraid of living
than of dying alone the
way you chose to go ?

it’s no accident…
songs that sell
the most are sad
sidetracking
bouncing beams
deflecting
realities
we need to know

I love our rich soft-times,
moments stolen from starched yesterdays,
living warm wet scent-times
past future's stark-dark slickening crime.

I miss our deep earthtones.
our musing space for free reign
before we missed race rhymes
shouting thin faced
fat erased
bland bare bones.

I know peace pleasure tones,
our sacred place free of tomes
deflecting ungraced spacetime
reflecting Earth's reasons
seductive seasons
consummate rich rhymes.

I love your vast school,
compassion with fools
red flowing rich green groans,
free grown golden life
shopping rules.

I love Earth's fast humor,
vast pleasure-loving fools
for life's reseasoned gruel
feeding Earth-life's past kind cruel.

I love our rich soft inside times,
moments stolen from starched out yesterdays,
living warm wet scent-times
past future's stark-dark slickening crime.
