Imperfections

IMPERFECTIONS why do they want you more now that you have left than they have ever wanted you before does the pain of you leaving give them some kind of perverse pleasure are they more afraid of living than of dying alone the way you chose to go ? it’s no accident… songs that sell the most are sad sidetracking bouncing beams deflecting realities we need to know © Kim van Breda—18 January 2016

Kim my kind of poem. Every life is a prism and the light shines through each facet of the heart and mind to create a rainbow of thought. Thank you!

Interesting opener. It's a strange phenomenon, the desire to have what is forbidden, or in this context, to want back what is no longer available. Crazy creatures we are. Nice write, insightful and poignant. It's been a while since you wrote last, hope all is well. -G
