Best Credit Where Credit Is Due Poems

Our Spicy First Date

I still savor the thought of the zest that I caught
When you joined us that night after school.
Tara figured out why, since she’s so sage and sly;
She left early to show it was cool.

With her sis Tara-gon, Ginger sighed with a yawn,
“My, it’s late!” to clue in that nut-Meg.
“Would you look at the thyme!” came the reechoed chime,
With a wink from Corey-ander pal Peg.

Well, I felt like a god, though it seemed somewhat odd
That they all should jus’ curry, but hey,
When you gave me a smile as we two walked a while,
It dissolved my perplexed caraway.

In this teenagey bliss, I leaned in for a kiss,
Little knowing what I was against:
You demurred in a trice, “Though hot pepper is nice,
I insist that it’s parsley dispensed.”

With a panicky cast, I apologized fast
In my chili confusion and dread,
But I saw your eyes light, and we had a nice night
Holding hands at the cinnamon stead.

We borrow on the
faith of our children
because we’ve failed to
fulfill our promise:

Hope for the future,
Trust in our parents,
Stewardship of life.

Credit where credit is due,
earned through saving
our earth, our air, our values.

Cash me out.

So you think you are ready for anything?
Sure? No?
Thought so
From whom do you get your talents?
Future thinker, are you not?
So how can it be from your parents lol?
Give credit where credit is due
From where are you coming from?
Not from the womb!
From heaven
Lighten up
You are ruffled
lol
Grrrr
Grrrr
Far truth
Far fetched
Really?
Has anyone ever called you an angel?
Cmon
Dedicated you to the Lord
Gee
Hmm
Yup
Case closed
Beam me up, Scotty
Haha

My Blame and Shame

Allegations of Injury to a Child-Bodily Injury they say…
I am “no bill” to this day

Still suffering the aftermath of it all
…just as I said it all begin from one call

Child Protective Services heard what I had to say
Uhmm! Stating that “everything was going to be ok”

Nah! Not the case, I was arrested on the above charge I did not know why
All because my husband told a lie

This poor child was in the system when I married his father in 2004
When back in the system they did ignore

Somebody somewhere beat that poor child to death
Imagine how he really, really felt

Not being able to protect himself from it all
Again, I was accused just from one call

The child was not in the home during the alleged crime
Not even attending a school in our district at the time

CPS released the child to my husband’s mistress, how and why
He called her to go to the school at which point they both denied

Yep, they pinned this horrible crime on me and no other
Just so that they could plot to be together

I really hope that they are happy now and forever
I forgive them…stoop to their level? I will never!

GOD will protect that poor child since he can’t do it alone
…oh and his father who want for heavens sake admit he is wrong

Thank you heavenly father for guiding me through
I must give credit where credit is due

I pray O Lord protect that child in his growing years
And please O Lord, remove all of his fears

Let him grow in peace Dear Lord
Spite everything his father done don’t let them grow apart

A life lesson I learned from in deed
Please O Lord, help that child with his every need

Remove all hate from heart, mind and soul
Let him (Tommy Daniels, Jr) grow up WHOLE AMEN

What God Says About You-Rhyme 1

What God says about you are all statements of truth,

Satan will lie on you to make you feel destitute.

Here is one statement that you can take with you

To suit your emotional and devotional needs for your life that's true:

God's opinion of you supercedes the man's opinion of you.

Satan will get into man and never give credit where credit is due

Remember God made you and what God says about you are all statements of truth.

Anxiety increases as Christmas draws near
Kids may not get what they asked for, they fear,
It’s presents holding them rapt, not good cheer
Santa shows disinterest, he has another beer
‘Tis Mrs. Claus stretching the budget this year.

Giving credit to her creator for designing this gorgeous shoe

Let’s give credit where credit is due.
Trump’s accomplishments—I’ll give a few—
should be mentioned today,
so to those who naysay,
let me offer a positive view.

Now the jobless rate’s pleasingly low:
January nineteen---4-point-0.
Our economy’s good,
and improving. All should
see we’ve risen above status quo.

College grads hit the jackpot last year,
for the job market stats made them cheer.
In his plans he’s not slack.
He’s brought many jobs back
and helped generate companies here.

Though new tax laws won’t help everyone,
they’ll help millions. When all’s said and done,
there’s been no perfect law
and no man without flaw
in the White House—nor under the sun!*

Note: I do NOT LIKE his personality, his mouth, but he's accomplished some
good for the U.S.

Character Counts

Good character is way more important to me,
Than having good grades.
No one wants to work or be around,
Someone who is dishonest or who is an owner
Of an awful attitude.

If you are a motivated individual,
That means you are one who gives,
Their best at all times.
Yes, that counts, and indeed once
You add fairness, responsibility, generosity, and kindness,
To your vocabulary, and act on them.
The satisfactory grades will come.

Character counts; respect others,
Don’t be afraid to give credit where credit is due.
In other words, don’t be a hater ,
Even when others hate on you.
That is not what it do.

Don’t be fake; be sincere.
You will forever have friends far and near.
Character builds your confidence
And your resume’.
Please ladies, gentlemen, boys and girls,
Hold my advice dear in every way.
Work on your character everyday.

Credit To the People

It is just one of those things that goes unnoticed
When credit is due for a job well done.
I'm talking of all the support one has to get
Especially, if the job is not fun.

But I look back in our history to see
Things that we did together in National cause.
Many of them were given to the credit of one side or the other
But in truth, they give me reason to pause.

The founding of our country was credited to wealthy men
Who signed that document in Philadelphia so long ago.
But would it have been worth the paper it is written on
If it hadn't been for the "Nobodys" that braved the Valley Forge snow?

The Civil War we had devastated our land
And pitted brother against brother from sea to sea.
Yet, Lincoln got the credit for keeping the nation together
When so many others died in a war, which began to set others free.

Our Parents and Grandparents get not enough credit
For living through adversity as none of us has seen.
"The Great Depression", "World War ll", and the lasting peace to follow
Truly makes them "The Greatest Generation" that has ever been.

Then we had the "Space Race", Kennedy's "Peace Corps" initiative, a "War on Poverty"
Followed by other Presidents' projects o'er the years which the Nation did not eschew.
So, from a small voice to the ears of all who will listen and hear
I say, "GIVE TRUE CREDIT TO THE PEOPLE ... CREDIT WHERE CREDIT IS DUE"!

Give Credit Where Credit Is Due

We’ll have you ever wondered why they
give Columbus the credit for finding
North America when he never set a foot
on the promise land, no it was the Vikings
that came here first and we have proof
after finding their settlements we now
know it pre-dates any other civilization
except the Indians known to man...
So I think it's time to re-write the history
books 'cuz
Shouldn't we GIVE CREDIT WHERE
CREDIT IS DUE, don’t you know not
everything you hear or read is true
it might be what some people want you
to believe but don't be a fool, seek, research
and find the truth, no don't be a fool and
GIVE CREDIT WHERE CREDIT IS DUE
Columbus day should be changed to
Viking day now wouldn't you say...
Why do we permit our children to be
lied to in school especially when we
know it's not true...?
I think it's time we GAVE CREDIT
WHERE CREDIT IS DUE...
Now let's GIVE CREDIT WHERE
CREDIT IS DUE!

Premium Member Shoulda Seen It Coming

I had placed Reeses cups in a bowl
There to snack anytime- with control
The large family size-
Hubby eyed with surprise
Said restraint was to be his new goal!

But each morning I saw there was less
And I felt that he had to confess
That he snuck some away-
To munch on through the day!
He said NO, and like me, felt some stress!

This went on- and so soon bowl was bare!
I moved on like I just didn't care-
And continued to dust-
Clean inside was a must
Of a living room cabinet there.

I yelled WOW!- when I saw there inside
All the Reeses a mouse brought to hide!
Dragged them there one by one
Till his project was done!
That field mouse took us both for a ride!

Now, this story I told you is true-
Shoulda known mice all do what they do.
But this feat was extreme
A lone field mouse's dream-
Gave him credit where credit is due!

Replace Negative With Positive Way of Life

We are watching TV news indicating catastrophes, people
discriminating and being prejudiced against others while
sinning, doing bad things, telling lies and environmental
problems created at Camp LeJeune.
Breaking rules should be in there somewhere.
Why do people write, "Letters to the Editor" anyway?
What do they want to gain from their letter? Article
might be an expression of dissatisfaction, disagreement
and doubt. They may be filled with animosity also
We could be giving credit where credit is due, being
positive, patient, loving and kind.
People have been killed or injured, affected by bad
weather, calamities and health problems. and
things that are terrifying.
We must give credit where credit is due. What you
give out is what you will receive in return. Give out
love, kindness and mercy and will receive the same
back.
Do not criticize others to build yourself up. Encourage
others to do good and better themselves. Would be
interested in reader's comments regarding this article
that I have written.

My home on native land
I stole that from a T-shirt
Gotta give credit
Where credit is due

Canada 'eh
Kanata
Iroquois for settlement or village
And here's where I slip in pillage
Pardon my digression
Subjugation segregation
And bad first impression

Gotta give credit where credit is due
I remember being proud of a beret in blue
