Premium Member Creature In the Night

Where cold stars exist in the dark,
serene winds whisper to trees
and scarce human ears can listen,
lone songs wail in the distance
in frozen moon's silver spotlight,
a mark left where paws had paused.

Inspired by creature #3 Coyote

nette onclaud's contest - NIGHT CREATURES

This poem was also inspired by actual events. A few weeks ago, I discovered
some large animal paw prints that were left in the snow, near my home. I later
found out that the tracks were made by a wolf.

A Mythical Creature

The sun dulled to a shade of green,
A creature hanging there I hadn't seen
Wings of webs and sparkling coloured hues
Seeming to be smiling at me, head tilted

A mystical creature there only I could see
The sun eclipsed; the darkness brings
a creature hanging with webbed wings,
seeming to smile at me, with fiery breath.

A mystical beast, a Dragon I could see.
It was not a span ago I remember,
they needed and had asked of me.
To think of their form so bold,

to give them the life they knew of old.
The mighty dragon hanging so near,
brushing away clouds of innate fear.
Pulsing wing beats shattered the glade,

yet held me safely in his mystical shade.
A voice of an Angel touched my ear.
"Thank you, for seeing my presence clear.”
“My Dragon's form in infinite perfection,

asking of me a new conception”.
"Do tell me of this Earth so changed,
now no castles and dungeons dwell.
Where I did roam for many years,

there maidens fled in horrifying tears.”
“Oh mighty creature, It is sad to say
those things don't exist today.”
”It has been a long, long, time for you

just wait I'll see what I can do?”
I sat thinking for an unusual time,
but could only think of fable and rhyme.
It did come to me in the end,

where a Dragon could happily blend.
Disney was looking for something new
Harry potter was in a right stew.
”Can you fly when asked my dragon of fire”?

Snorting smoke, he flew higher and higher.
I told him of films and fun so grand,
of castles Built in another land.
"Hold on!" I said as I found a strand.

"Can you fly to New Zealand?"
A nod from him and a smile so wide,
on his back I flew on, an incredible ride.
To star in The Hobbit was my dream too,

my dragon and me headed for pastures new.
A cloud of steam emitted from the stream
the mighty Dragon was just a dream.
At the bottom of the hill dust settled around,

I felt such a fool, as I hit the ground.

The Creature In My Mirror

You,

A creature so unlike a dinosaur,
Pallid, weak and frail.
No fossil in the stony flesh of Mother Earth,
Unlike trilobite, leaf or snail.

Worse yet, no one searches for your trace,
Or recognises that you're missing,
They're all wrapped up in studying,
Fornication, fondling and kissing.

No biologist, paleontologist, anthropologist,
Searches for your presence, growing frantic,
To find at least one before the Great Extinction,
The last of the true Romantics.

T'is true they're not searching for you now,
Without rutting their interest is small,
They'll learn one day that the old ways were true,
And again you may hear hopeful calls

Premium Member Funny Lookin' Creature With a Squeaky Bark

I looked behind me when I heard a squeaky little bark
From out of the bushes, a kangaroo-looking creature rose
His bright green eyes flashed neon signs at me in the dark,
then he raised his long piggy snout and struck a silly pose.

"Have you escaped from the zoo to wander in the park?"
His bunny ears flopped before he wiggled long-clawed toes.
He replied, "No. I'm looking for ants cuz I'm an aardvark."
I invited him to join me for dinner at the café, Java Joes.

Premium Member The Strangest Creature On This Little Blue Planet

The strangest Creature !!!
On this little blue planet.

Everything was created to perfection.
Order and harmony was its reflection.

The strangest Creature !!!
On this little blue planet.

Are a world unto them selves .
Man portraying his pigmy elves.

The strangest Creature !!!
On this little blue planet.

We - a voice creating a wilderness.
Many try not to, this I must confess.

The strangest Creature !!!
On this little blue planet.

|Are we able to become the salvation ?
for Mother Earth, Mother Natures creation.

The strangest Creature !!!
On this little blue planet.

Will the meek stand up and tower
over the strangest Creature’s power ?

The strangest Creature !!!
On this little blue planet.

Is faced with inevitable doom
as this little blue planet lowers the boom.

The strangest Creature !!!
On this little blue planet.

What is that vague shadow-play
Roaming through the dark of clay,
Night's creature, perhaps, around?
Yet mild grunts …a dulcet sound.

A fawn! Echoes awaken
This breath my woes forsaken :
How glorious a deer's rite
Shadow-play of hushed moonlight!

Premium Member Creature Comforts

Frisky, gray squirrels scramble
Beneath a massive, old oak tree
Gathering the best acorns they see
Their fluffy tailed, lively damsels

Opossum wobble on short legs
From their laurel sheltered lairs
Toward the thickets where there’s
Vast bugs and spiders in their webs

Gentle, soft haired rabbits assemblage
Onward, seeking out grassy fortresses
Where they might discover tortoises
And additional special kinds of foliage

Black and white stripped skunks
Bob out toward their furry friends
Reassured they will make amends
So they will help them over tree stumps

Russet colored raccoons with charming features
Searching for their favorite pine tree expansion
Scrambling up through the long branches
To havens above all the other creatures

Big, black bear grumble through woods so eerie
Checking all around for beehives or cherries
Hoping to find a bit of honey or sweet berries
To munch on before the weather gets dreary

Tan and bronze deer clamber up cliffs that deliver
To the meadows where they’re stopping together
To chew long grass and weeds found whether
They make their trek toward the gently flowing river

Forests are thriving with these unique beings
All the different beasts living there from across
Pine, oak, birch, locust, laurel, fern and moss
God’s gifts to us who love this place so pleasing

Creature Couplets

The giraffe
Haughty and fond of herbivorous feasts,
Tends to look down on his wee fellow beasts.

The elephant
Thin outer ears are gargantuan-sized,
Tickling the ivories isn't advised.

The pelican
Genus of water-bird with a long beak,
And in his throat there is food for a week.

 The crocodile
Don't you be fooled by his sad, tearful eyes
He's out to get you - it's just a disguise.

 The zebra
Sports a moheccan style tuft on his head
And he wears stripey pyjamas to bed.

 The panda
Never one fazed by what's wrong or what's right,
Tends to see everything in black and white.

 The kangaroo
He lives 'down under'- Australia's pride
With little Joey who's there for the ride.

 The zoo
All of these creatures hang out at the zoo
Feeding time heralds a hullabaloo!

Premium Member A Harmless Creature

A Harmless Creature is the Ant,
Until it crawls inside your pant,
Or invites itself to your picnic table,
Intending your little picnic to disable.

And of course, there's always the kitchen floor
That it ruins in waves of "zillions more."
Yes, a harmless creature is the ant,
---As harmless as a nuclear power plant.

Mythical Creature of Old

Scales of azure and emerald green,
Adorn tri-folding translucent wings,
Radiating an iridescent sheen,
Off this mythical creature of old...

Crimson flames with every breath,
His eyes shrewd with amber hue,
One touch was the kiss of death,
From this mythical creature of old...

Soaring high in sapphire skies,
Thunder roaring over the land,
Queens shuddered hearing the cries,
Of this mythical creature of old...

Knights in armor searched in wild,
This dragon they could not find,
Kings sat upon thrones beguiled,
Over this mythical creature of old...

Untouched by swordsmen’s blades,
Beyond aim of hunter’s bow,
Capture he evades,
	This mythical creature of old...

Nau-Til-Us: An Approximate Creature

Nautilus, chambered.
Mathematics? Not really.
By nature only.

Smells more like…
Ah…normal distribution
(Of golden spirals).

You could look it up.
FIBONACCI? Not really.
Logarithmic coil?

Not exactly. Else
One or the other would fit.
Only nature fits.

Tiny Green Creature

I watched a little lizard sun on the roof today.
Not much did he move as the sun warmed his
little tail and legs.

Sweet as ever he smiled up towards the sky
leaving his eyes closed as if giving thanks and
nodding to the clouds a goodbye.

It is amazing how this tiny green creature on
this big ole earth, never takes to much, but
always give back to life a constant rebirth.

I Am An Anti War Creature

I am an Anti War Creature

War is no more
Like before
War is all that politicians adore
War is hate, blood and death we abhor
War is erasing earth’s core
War is closing life’s door
War kills innocence that you ignore
War is widening the gap between the four
The East, the West, the South and the North
War will just devour
Our entire civilization store
You, warriors, what do-you explore?
Your humanity and manhood I implore
You are throwing seas offshore
War murdered children then tore
Their parents under their eyes on the floor
Would you, please, tell me what’s the score?

Disturbed Creature- Am I

A poem wrote by me, based on Person who is a deserving icon but still struggling hard with his career life and addressed as disturbed creature.

DISTURBED CREATURE--> Am I ??       BY Mrs.Madhavi

Am I so insane, Am I so mad,
Dramatic mood of mine is so die hard.
Destroyed my peace, Shattering my dreams,
People call me as disturbed creature.
As like mounting the pain, attenuating the drain!!

Digesting my feelings lying inside me,
Strangely nobody cared, call me sick.
Teasing me lavishly and my heart is pricked,
Hurted me like hell when addressed me as stupid.
As like showering rain, missing on the lane!!

Time lapse in journey of life,
Can hamper anybody on its path.
When I see innate reflex of mine,
I always use to brightly shine.
Though possessing every job attributes of mine,
I never thought the authorities will ditch and hamper my career line.
Falsely acting bloody swine, making my image as fade as wine.
As like affecting harmonious divine, my soul was, as is transparently pristine!!

Destroying me and testing my patience, Never wanna give up.
Transformed deviations, wanna rightly screw up.
I wanna raise up, I wanna shake up.
I wanna wake up, Tranquilize my mind.
Unzip the professional life compressed by the culprits.
Wanna explore myself, driving the motivated heights of journey.
Lastly waiting for the optimistic opportunity.
Cuffing the suspect ,I wanna rejoice by my pattern of life!!
