Tiny Green Creature

I watched a little lizard sun on the roof today.
Not much did he move as the sun warmed his
little tail and legs.

Sweet as ever he smiled up towards the sky
leaving his eyes closed as if giving thanks and
nodding to the clouds a goodbye.

It is amazing how this tiny green creature on
this big ole earth, never takes to much, but
always give back to life a constant rebirth.

I can see you love the tiny creatures of Nature. Me too. I love to see them enjoying the sun,

Thank you Suzanne. I have a tiny lizard that lives in a pipe on top of my storage building. My computer faces it and everyday on warm days that is, He comes out to sun. I enjoy his presence for he brings a sense of peace when ever he is around. I know I sound silly, but I do enjoy its company. : ) Have a wonderful day Suzanne and God Bless ...Sharon

A beautiful sentiment. If all of mankind would only leave a smaller footprint... I love your poem.
