Best Consequences Poems

Premium Member MORE WORSE WHEN I CRY

Teacher said my decisions needed consequences.
I have to write a million gazillion sorry sentences.
Billy was stupid to tease me, call my family poor.
I had to kick Billy so he wouldn’t say it more.
Just like Dad does, I laughed when he hit the floor.
Dad would say I was strong, teach says I was wrong.

I don’t understand any grown up stuff.
They don’t act the same way enough,
or Dad is right; I’m so stupid, I can’t keep up.
I’m trying so hard to stop my eyes.
Things always get more worse when I cry.
Even when I’m quiet and being haved
my tummy hurts cause it feels afraid.

Everyone’s at recess, but cause I made an upset,
Teach said there’d be no play time for me yet.
I don’t know what she means by classroom policy,
but it seems like a plan you grow up and forget.
There’s no sorry policy in my family.
Dad never 'pologizes when he kicks me.

Truth Or Consequences

To whom much is given much is expected, land of the free
For when His Light is reflected then all will be able to see
Yet His Light has gone away, as evil seems to tighten its grip
No longer knowing how to pray, that bitterness worsens with each sip

Praying for all the people in now the latest of these attacks
But as we gather together in the steeple it is our prayer that lacks
God hates the shedding of innocent blood in especially, His Unborn
Still wondering why such the flood of our Holly Father's Righteous Scorn

Calling His Name we beg for mercy, then show none of our own
Murdering Innocence with a decree and sealed with a self-righteous tone
In God there is no difference, for He has created us all
Yet, still being so vociferous about a gunman and his gaul

Will these attacks continue in what seems a quickening pace
I believe that's up to us and the next vote that we will face
With over six million lives at stake in praying to the One above
Don't make the reprehensible mistake of trying to limit God's love

Isaiah 59:7- 8
Their feet run to evil, and they are swift to shed innocent blood; their thoughts are thoughts of iniquity; desolation and destruction are in their highways. The way of peace they do not know, and there is no justice in their paths; they have made their roads crooked; no one who treads on them knows peace

Consequences of Infatuation

out of everything that i’ve ever been told in my life
out of all the things that have been said to me that render me
obligated to shove a coy smile and an aloof
“thank you”
into the hands of whoever was speaking,
the heartfelt anecdotes
that have stuck with me the most
are the ones to have been branded and signed by you
the way you worded them
made me sound so much more valuable
than anything i’ve ever heard before

the focal point being
“you’re the kind of person someone leaves their entire life behind for”

and what bloomed
from the seeds
you planted in my garden
is something i thought i’d never lose
something i’d tried to protect so heavily
perhaps too heavily

but now i must ask, are you as comfortable with her in your arms are you claimed to be in mine?
do you miss her warmth on nights you’re alone in your own bed?
or is it mine that you sought after at 5am?

have you said things to her that even remotely resemble the things you’ve said to me?
or did you just copy and paste?
do you still expect me to believe that i meant anything different
to anything you’ve felt with her,
when your claim to be too busy in your head
actually meant too busy in her bed?

did you think i was being playful
when i told you that
i’m always aware
of when i am being deceived.
had you taken me seriously the first time
perhaps i wouldn’t be straining myself
trying not to completely push you away.

under any other circumstances
i would’ve had to remind you
that no matter what you do
and no matter what i say,
you will always be weak for me
but you already know that
and that is going to be the
end of us both.

Mere slips of the tongue

All Actions Have Consequences

All Actions Have Consequences

I make things only to destroy them
To build them up again
Repeat the action

A point in one direction, like a mirror, points back at you
To that end
A reflection on what once was

Looking up
Indications are
The swirl of stars
Other unknowns
Out there
In larger part
At their own peril
At your command

In degrees, objects form
Not just stories

By now
It must be time
To make something work
Perhaps this is the moment
Or something like it
To start again
With permanency

I make things only to destroy them
To build them up again
To what end

Unintended Consequences

Everyone wants the world to change today
Why not, when so many people suffer?
Even in this scientific heyday,
Everyone still thinks they’ve got it rougher

And the visionaries with their grand schemes
I hate to sound like a cynical jerk
Ask before you buy into their daydreams:
How can they truly know how it all works?

I think it’s so far above my pay grade
To assume that I alone can mend it
Do you understand how the changes made
Can cause problems that were not intended?

So, to avoid an unwanted error,
Please first fix the problem in the mirror!

Premium Member Ruminations On the Karmic Consequences of a Harvest of Sins

Weary, sluggish and silent with apathy and
disinterest, I sullenly reflect and
languish....

My thoughts—thick and heavy like
molasses—painfully churn and swirl in
and out of my head and spill against the
background of dead silence of my living
room....

They are in constant motion, while I sit in
the living room mute and gagged and bound
with the world-weariness of a lifetime and
stare blankly into empty space by looking
inward....

Even the furnishings around me defer to
my now sullen mood. Not saying a word
and bowing their heads, they hold their
tongues and keep their thoughts to them-
selves out of respect and deference for my
silent and solemn doldrums....

The flat-panel TV, otherwise always on
and hyper-gregarious, for once regards my
sullenness and apathy with its own....

I sit exactly thus—
alone,
but in the sympathetic company of my
furniture and belongings....

They whisper to me of a time when I was
sinful and wanton and remind me of the
need for redemption....

I remember, and take heed by repenting....

And by doing so, I have narrowly avoided
reaping and gathering the terrible,
karmic consequences

of an unspeakable harvest of sins

for myself!

Mile High Consequences

She spots a sniffling hottie by her gate
They learn their flight will be three hours late
After a few rounds at the pub
They board and join the Mile High Club
Then the poor dame sneezed for a whole week straight

Choices and Consequences

In life there are choices that you must make
Now some of them can turn out good and others bad
But the way you handle whatever the consequences are
Determines the strength you have
And I can’t promise you they will always be easy.

Some of the choices you make
May lead to stiffer consequences than others
And then they also could ruin your life forever
Not only could they affect your everyday plans
But they could affect your plans for the future.

It just takes one bad choice
To uproot your life and make you change your plans
And then it could happen in just one second
So think before you make a choice
Because it could be the wrong one and lead to suffering.

Time after time, the thief struck,
but I could never report a loss.
Tangibles were not taken.

I knew the identity of the perpetrator
but couldn't ask for ordinary justice.
This was no ordinary criminal.

This deceiver led me down
paths of promise to find fulfillment . . .
for the flesh was weak.
Each time, I paid a fee,
a degree of my self-respect,
joy, and peace of mind.

How could the sincere youth
who invited Jesus into her heart
at age 14 be acting so--lost?

Internal thieves are the hardest to defeat.
Only God could help me.
I prayed--truly believing.
Over time, He banished the deceiver,
my desire for what He's forbidden,
and nurtured the better part of me.

Sins, though forgiven, have consequences.
He left a reminder,
a scar in my memory,
to keep me from ever again
becoming what I once was.

She takes the sunlight
Brings it into the thunder
Massive eruption

She delves into
Pains culmination feel
She breaks her silence

Then the mighty fall
Wrongly placed hands were the tell
Revelations true

Consequences real
Time to rid of the sins
Many hated men

It’s finally time
To set the records straight
Let them face music

Actions and Consequences

What you did, you think it's normal. Well I don't. Since being a child it's stayed with me and always will. Tried to re build our relationship yet in reality it's full of s**t.

You may think that I'm in the wrong, but its how I feel.

Can't ring you when I'm down
can't ask you to pop around
uncomfortable when I come around.

Were like two strangers passing by, we'll never be close and you'll never know why.
