JOYOUSLY, WE BE

Pillows, pillows, rainbow pillows everywhere
amidst this sea of pillows, two in lounging share--
capering aplenty, teasing, teasing thee.
Fun-filled laughter bubbles up, joyously, we be.

Fluffy, fluffy cotton knobs, wrap next to 'bods
Tuck so right in a hug, keep tight in the warmth.
Playing hard to get in merry-go-round zest.
Rock and roll, it drew smiles; rise and fall release sighs...

Teaser! Teaser, tease her! blushing freedom pairs!
Giddy music gentle lapping sound like chorale.
Closer, we become, touches twinkling like stars
in catch one's breath pause, our eyes interlace, comes we!

Pleaser! Pleaser, please him round the clock so light!
Do cuddle him lovingly and sing her a song,
between some brushes, he shall blow hushes
as when night and day strums, allow yin and yang rhumb.

Revelling In the Rain

Revelling in the rain
That goes tapping on my back.
I  twirl,  'am  in  no  haste;
With a weedy leafy dirndle
Wrapped around my waist.
I swing and I sway,
Drifting  about  in  gay;
Pirouetting with the posies,
Floating in the pristine air.
I dance with no refrain,
Foot taps whispering with the rain.
The entire world stood,
As  in  a  clearing  in  the  wood;
With festoons of flowers and foliage,
Them all ornating my stage.
Till I dance into the dawn,
And  a  grey  and  cloudy  morn;
Rain capering with me,
Accompanying me for a song.

Premium Member Stone Ring

Majestic stones stood in a ring
while birds flew by on the wing
this once was a place of kings
who spent their time battling

Their foes were now for beheading
this fate was cruel but befitting
a warning for others come warring
with every intention of acquiring

War horses swift of feet cantering
plunging with battle lust capering
the knights so proud are gathering
the stone ring they are honouring

Through the ages cults made offering
changing as they grew in culturing
yet never the stones change appearing
mystical, powerful capable of conjuring

Chorus For Doomed Youths

CHORUS FOR DOOMED YOUTHS
how fortunate are you, Child?
I couldn't abort you.
now I've given birth to you
and nothing shall
                       kill
your breath--- till
you tell this truth.
you have come:
to live and to love.
I name you Deft-Daft

you're like Jabez;
borne out of the sorrow
of my marooned heart.
you're my child, be also my herald.

Go ye
to that tribe of kooky tune-smiths
and tell them; tell them
how deft their sound
how daft their lyrics
how doggone their voices
how gaga their listeners
how savage their songs
how brief their existence.

tell them! tell them
tell those loony song-smiths--
whose choruses are chanted in all
wacky-wacko-psycho muster--
to chant the beauty of nature
and cover her nakedness.

tell them! tell them
how their ignoble lyrics
defile the minds of the young
and ravage the mind of the sages.

singing, dancing, capering
grinding, swinging, raving
smoking, drinking, prattling
buying, selling, fighting
feel-highing, bubbling, hurting...
dying of excessive pressure for treasure;
dying for excessive measure of pleasure.

tell them! tell them
their errant lyrics
bear bawds and brainless brawn
whose thew thaw in stew!
sing- dance- darkness- phew!
watery lyrics filled with chaff
to rouse demented youths.
their music, their fall;
their melody, their pall.

tell them! tell it to them.
then like an Abiku
die your final death.
when you are reborn
to live your final life,
I shall rename you Deft-Deft

The Party

They come from darkness,
Eager to the lighted place.
Cold hands clasp warm -
Hi! in a welcoming embrace.
Proffered camaraderie cuddles
Kindred spirits in a cloud;
Buzzing breezy banter oozes
From a jesting jocund crowd.

Rum raucus pleasantries tipple
In tailored pin-striped suits;
Convivial capering denim does
A cabaret in cowboy boots.
A painted celebrating clown
Greets gingham in a merry mix,
While a furtive feigner in a corner
Shades eyes from his tantalizing tricks.

Restive ribald revelers gather,
Garnishing gushing smiles.
Snared eager effusive faces
Trap a miscellany of styles.
Each one pursuing pleasure
In a convulsing carnival of joys;
Each one a bubbly bauble sparkling
In its own peculiar noise.

Premium Member LISTEN to the Wind

“Wind and Waves eternally speak to us, sometimes in hushed murmurs and sometimes in violent roars. We do not know what they speak. They may be trying to convey the calm and the fury of Nature in turn”- ~ By Poet

I hear a wind whispering from the hills
It comes down tickling the clean woodland rills
From far is heard the frightened murmur of leaves
As it pounces on them like wayside thieves
It shakes the branches of flowering trees
And their petals drop like confetti in the breeze

Over hills and trees, it loves to skip and stray.
Always in motion, never inclined to stay
It moves unhampered over streams and field
With no resistance to its might, they simply yield
Like a child, it romps over the shady bowers
In its gentle touch, dances the gleeful flowers
Sometimes it steals furtively like a lover
And disappears kissing our cheeks under cover

It comes capering with a lilt and a swing
We feel joyous when we hear it merrily sing
From an unknown hide out it comes like a sprite.
It always makes us feel its vigorous might

Listen to the wind, it may have something to teach!

Life Is Like a Maypole

The ring of the sun
Spring to their steps young mayflies
                                         Singing and flinging their love
                                                 To rainbow streamers
                                             Prancing and capering elves
                                              And frisky kittens of earth

We met to write as we sat down on the beach
My heart beating, two to each other teach
Writings we shared writing various themes
When our eyes met, connection now streams

Into the evening we walked, closer we became
Chatting away our nerves becoming tamed
Our hands in gentle touch, slightly brushing
Her eyes now sparkling, cheeks blushing

Openly laughing jesting, bravado increases
Capering hugging antics, pleases
Eyes now finally meet, sighs before
Lips now gently greet, hearts now soar

Then!

As a Spectator

Words emerging from your quill,
Blazing with effulgence,
Capering and crooning around,
In harmony or in dissonance.

Rhyming in a golden cage,
Flying around in splendid colors,
Or, in a greenish meadow,
Flying away in divine freedom.

The beads of words will last long,
In our minds, if threaded strong
Whether structured or unstructured
As I know, I’m your spectator.

Leaf Shadows Dancing

Leaf shadows
Manically dancing
Mincing moonlight
Into myriad motes…
Montages of mystery
Upon which
Reality floats..

Leaf shadows dancing
Withdrawing…
Advancing…
Rivulets retreating
Neath prows
Of night’s boats

Swiftly sketched…
and as swiftly erased
By leaves and limbs
Leaving no trace…
The artistic trees
One would suppose
Have only need
Of light and shadows

Palette imbued only
With black and white…
Colors of lonely
Hints of light
Leaf shadows capering,
carelessly, capriciously

Cast upon canvas
…Of moonlit night…
