In sandy dunes on my back I lie
Dreaming of warm beaches, blue sky
And a girl named Lorelei
On memories I fly
War seen from on high
I vow to try
Not to cry
As I
Die

(The final utterance and testament
of a fallen comrade. Belfast 1979)

He
never knew
till he laid there naked.
(A withering heap of travesty.)
How blue the sky
how green the grass,
each tiny blade reminiscent
of a gentle touch from a bygone age.
Each wound on fire,
yet a confound complement
to a burning passion
of a love he was about
to leave behind.
He
saw formidable clouds
begin to threaten
the moment,
yet gently
refreshing droplets
tantalize the mood,
blend with a body
and it’s blood, before
washing a mind
free of it’s pain
forever!

The Battlefield

tiny steps
inched forward
towards the line
tiny hands
reaching
through shadows
on the other side
was death
...she survived

teenage strolls
tempting fate
with screeching brakes
she flew wingless
through night's air
...she survived

adulthood fears
lurked in shadows
of darkness
hands grabbing
through the fog
she was lifted
staring barrels down
felt the pierce
of blades
pressing
rage of minds
exploding
a shattered heart
...she survived

climbing life's hill
a weakened heart
in slow beats
fading in echoes
pulse of death
upon her
....she survived

now she stands
on the battlefield
all the warriors
of life have fallen
into the shadows
of death

she stands
armed with needle
not knowing
how to fight
to survive
the pain
of this
killer

a survivor
she is lost
between
memories that haunt
and the rituals
that life has become
inching towards that line
her story told
...will she survive?

she doesn't know how

An Icy Battlefield

It starts with an unforgettable roaring sound,
Like nothing I'd heard before.
There's people and protection all around,
while my feet slide on the cold hard floor.

Armed with only one simple twig,
And two knives strapped to my feet.
I move forward like a ravenous rig,
Never slowing or missing a beat.

The wind plays music through my ears,
My heartbeat begins to race.
Losing mind of all my fears,
As my enemy becomes face to face.

There's only once chance for this to work,
So I focus in and take a shot.
As I can hear the enemy allies lurk,
I know I've given it all I got.

Suddenly the sound of a siren,
As I hear and become cocky.
There's no sound of hit iron,
Which is the best when scoring in hockey.

Love Is a Battlefield

Love is a battlefield
I lost the battle

Love conquers all
including me…

Battlefield

As I stand in a empty street,
Uncontrollably out of my mind.
As the demons rise,
Returning to take back there,
So called pride.
Don't see why I even tried.
There all way to fried ,
In there own state of mind.
Stepping into the shadows ,
As da voices get louder ,
Waiting for reality ,
To come back together ,
Shortly after I seem to
Stagger...

Premium Member Battlefield Cross

Boots with an automatic weapon standing up, and a helmet on top…
Yes, this bronze statue begs your attention.
This was once a young boys dream few thought would come to fruition.
Now a Bronzed Battlefield Cross standing on exposition.
It represents 2 years work from Raymond Wilson to seek local donations.
A young Boy Scout from Pack 121 put it there with feelings and devotion.
He fought for the right to honor life’s fallen soldiers with recognition.
And he chose Fenton City Park, Missouri to get what was commissioned.
It’s Five feet tall and will be seen as a fallen warrior’s commendation.
Fallen soldiers everywhere will be remembered because of his mission.

Not just anyone, would have been so kind in these days to the fallen.
They are still fighting all over the globe, to their cries we must hearken.
To a young boy who thought of them… thanks for being the guardsman.
You have sung the praise, to where so many soldiers have trodden.

Memorial Day Dedication

Battlefield

As a moth attracts to a flame,
I became; blinded by his blaze.
Leaving me wounded and dazed,
On the battle Ground is where we remain.
Leaking trust like a weak bladder,
Discharging accusations like violent explosions, of gunpowder.
Not believing in the love, I have for him,
Leaving Blood splats all over the arena.
Bleeding blood shot eyes.
Everything I have to say, he takes as lies.
Having no mercy for the man before me,
I become the predator.
Breaking up just to make up, crazy to others but works for us.
Love and war for the man I adore,
Late night bickering in engage peevish arguing.
Skirmish conflicts leading to intimate kisses,
of the battle of the sexes.
Some loving is what I really wanted.
Sexually yielding complying with the request of his desires, I admire.
I lay down on the battleground, surrendering my rights while he continues to play fight.
Lieutenant in his presence,
next in rank to my captain.
In love with his persistent makes me pursue this.
Never having to fight for his attention,
He gives me everything I been missing.
As he is taking charge, I am pinned up against the wall.
He is my personal lifeguard, my body as the main yard.
My love is the trump card.
Battling to death almost out of breath as the words I am sorry lay our problems to rest.
Until next time with our bipolar tendencies, he loves and dislikes me.

Battlefield Tribulations

Come on brain
Lets do this *****
Conjure these flows
So I can to spit
Not no dumb dumb
Something they can feel me with
Something hard never soft
Something tight
Right from the top
Come on come on
Yep
Entire nations
Move to motivation
And to battle stations
Thus
In hopes of annihilating the competition
With extreme precision
Visions of battlefield tribulations
Proceeded by extinction
Of entire nations
Readily available are these citations
And accusations in quotation
It is written
Proceed with caution
This is an extreme soul snatchin'
Operation
By the best in enemy infiltration
Leaves souls wasted
At the gates of hell
Is were I wrote this
And the deepest of holes in Facebook
Is were I'll post it
And show off my skill as a venomous poet

Stay On the Battlefield

The disciple Paul said to remain steadfast while waiting for the return of Christ
He said to hold yourself sober and upright and dwell in God's light

Today when I look at society I am somewhat dismayed
That we are in a spiritual battle each and every day
Fighting against principalities seen and unseen
Wrestling with immoral behaviour and ideologies down right mean
Divide and conquer is the Adversary's strategic battle plan
We need to stay on the battlefield side by side, hand in hand

We are at war fighting against rampant evilness
We need to stay steadfast knowing that we are blessed
For if we seek first the kingdom of God we will come to find
The righteousness, the grace and the mercy that Jesus left behind
And when we put on the breastplate of hope and love and the helmet of salvation
We are now prepared to engage the enemy and fight for the duration
We need to love each other, lift each other up, to be encouraging and respect all
For these are the weapons we will use to make the enemy fall

So stay on the battlefield fighting for truth and your spiritual life
And remember the battle is not just yours
it also belongs to our Saviour Jesus the Christ

Battlefield

Spindle time as sowing illusions
Drowning in a sea of images
The measures that raise life seconds
Human is the animate doll who conquered the presence

Life from the past back to the present
From the present for the future
Turnover outlined by destiny
Like an hourglass that acts as a reciprocal measure of the time

The limitations are things of beauty
When the end of a round will be on relief
As the satisfied thirst
As the favor of all the sacrifices

Life in all parts come with the name of love
A form that presents a mirage
A perfect fundamental when you touch
It was part of a mortal but drunk when you shed

Small leaps present the flowers of aesthetic
A conclusion atop of provisions that you can reaped
I will not give up in any of those circumstances
My life is still in the front line of this battlefield

If Love Is a Battlefield

If love is a battlefield

When sarcastic words
are launched
like glass hand grenades
Shattering your dignity,
you're bruised,
battered and afraid

When coming home
fills you with a
dreadful trepidation
When your words
walk on eggshells
trembling in expectation

When every word
you utter, puts you
in imminent danger
When the man you said
you'd love forever,
is now a total stranger

Chorus

If love is a battlefield
then,
somethings not right
Home should be
a safe haven,
not cut like a knife
Oh,
if love is a battlefield
and there's a cry
in the night
It's time
to seek shelter
the choice is
fight or flight

When a question
ignites a fire
and the flames
lick your skin
Your hope burns
to the ground
your spirit dies within

When your courage
and your value
have packed
their bags and left
All you want
is some comfort
and a simple day of rest

Chorus

You bravely,
put out the fires one by one
Thinking tomorrow
will be better,
when today is done
but,
When the bottle
is his best friend
your battle can't be won
Unless he agrees
that the whiskey
is his real enemy
Never, ever,
will you have peace
and be truly free.

Chorus repeat
fade

It was hard to imagine what the scenery had looked like
prior to the fighting. Now it was a waste land of chaos and destruction,
as far as the eye could see. When taking a closer look, one could see
trenches everywhere...with soldiers seemingly shoulder to shoulder...
with exhausted looks upon their faces. Mud and water filled the bottoms of
some of the trenches as the soldiers struggled to move...keeping their
rifles up as they trudged ahead. The sounds of gunfire rang out everywhere.
One could see dead and wounded soldiers by the hundreds as they lay
where they had fallen. Large shells burst near the trenches. The soldiers
who were still alive crouched...trying not to lose their courage a midst
the horror unfolding before them. One can visualize the one in charge
ordering the men out of the trenches. They then attempted to maneuver
over uneven ground...barbwire...and dead soldiers...all while trying to not get
shot themselves. Most were not successful. All seemed inadequately cared
for as they wallowed in the dirt and mud. One could almost over hear some
of the conversations between the soldiers...and feel what they felt. Some
felt abandoned...although many thought they were fighting for freedom. Day after day
they tried to keep going...even though most lived in terror...wondering if that day
would be their last. Sleep had become a luxury as they shared the trenches with rats and lice...who were out to find a host to feed on. As the day wore on...great numbers
of soldiers lay dead...their bodies unable to be retrieved. What an injustice! Yet
the battle rages on...and on...and on.

Love Is a Battlefield

A thought born from rage,
A decision made in haste.
An action performed out of anger
As a precious heart’s laid to waste

Trembling lips blow out smoke
From the fatal shot of words spoken,
As the sanctity of ones promise
Is left shattered and broken

A soul stained with blood
From that murderous shot,
As the words enter the heart
Painful and red hot

A grieving face wet with tears
And the others eyes filled with shame,
As misguided emotions
Were most likely to blame

Jealousy, mistrust,
Insecurity and greed
From their tight grip
Some can never be freed

This emotional war we fight
Is brutal and tough,
But as hard as some fight
It is never enough

So what’s left are the victims
Of this senseless war,
Leaving the survivors bloodied and broken
And empty to the core

Words and emotions
Are powerful weapons and tools,
So make sure you don’t leave them
in the hands of loves fools
