Langston Hughes is best known for his insightful and powerful poetry, often addressing identity as exampled in this in this 'Mother to Son' 20 liner personification.A staccato conversational recitational piece... best spoken aloud
Six square panes, so varied and solid,
In painted arrays of quiet and light,
Four windows per side, a glorious sight.
Of eight casting shadows on wood-grain and rite.
On Sunday, the benches hold twenty souls,
With standing room only in pious rows,
Embracing the flock as the morning wind blows.
Across the green of the country lane, resting
Beyond the pale borders of Protestant ground,
The Catholic services welcome the weary
At The Painted Church, the painted panes are found.
Yet both of the steeples reach up to the blue.
*In the 90’s, lava destroyed the Protestant Church that was later rebuilt in the main town. The Catholic Church, best known as The Painted Church, was lifted onto an 18-wheeler flatbed to a secluded spot, one mile from where the lava flow came to an end. Father Damien made it of historic significance.
Do not be resentful
When people leave you
Everyone with their journey
They leave not because of hate
But because they've reached a point
Where they have to branch
Moving in their direction
Towards their destination.
We all crossed paths
For a reason or based on season
Best known to the Almighty
To be fulfilled is to be redeemed
But know your team
Which are your tribes
Not by language
But according to the goals.
The path of truth
Always leads us
Back to our roots
Birthing self awareness
Poising you to act not react
Restoring your pride
Putting you on the map
Opening paths for greatness.

Mary Shelley stitched storms into her stories,
then wondered why her creatures had worries!
If she lived now, she’d reboot her monster—
and give it Wi-Fi to haunt her.

The soft sweet potato.
Is known, like me.
I like to be a published author sometimes.
The soft sweet potato.
A pie, so nice.
If I were mashed up and sugar was added.
Then more sugar was added because the recipe was wrong…
I would burst out of the pie a published author.
Ta da!
Sometimes, I have a book.
Or not.
The soft sweet potato sounds.
Pillowly, yet crusty on the outside.
Steam trapped like me.
I can be an author sometimes.
Or growing from the ground.
A pie is so nice like me.
But a sweet potato doesn’t know how to sprout arms, just tangled leaves.
But I do.
Write and act published.
Like the best known recipe in the world.
This may seem lame.
Let’s make it a game.
I’ll give you a clue.
You try to guess who.
Proceeding my entrance by just a short while,
Is often the presence or hint of a smile.
Used sometimes by women, more often by men,
Often, I start as a quaint little grin.
I can also be hardy, and sometimes quite loud,
And often I’m present amongst a small crowd.
If it is me, you want to invoke,
Share with the group, a funny joke.
If you want to seem happy from now ever after,
Invite me in, I’m best known as laughter.
When we were still kids
Each day comes with it's ecstasy
Steadily playing at night
During the full moon
Right there we share our dreams
Telling different stories
Without hate, envy or jealousy
Love, laughter, sharing without greed all we knew.
Our dreams, our inspiration
Always aspiring with conviction
Even amidst restrictions
We keep dreaming without limitations
Indulging in things that are uplifting
Steadily believing in our dreams without any doubt.
When we were kids
Our goal the focus
We had so many dreams
Some forfeited
Reasons best known to me
Childhood dreams are memories
A flight of fantasies
Giving ecstasy and melodies.

From victory to victory
Our storyline
As we journey through life
But all glory
To our maker
Making us victorious
In all circumstances.
Glory to thy way maker
Always making a way
For us to be victorious
That's what he's best known for
Leading us to victory
Triumphing over all
That rises against us.
Grace and favor
He's always bestowed on us
Glory to our maker
For ease and effortlessness
All we get he gave
Without hesitating
Victoriously dominating all territory
Glory to our maker for he's our helper.

An Ohioan, born with the last name Driver,
she was an actor, but an author she was too.
She first appeared in the film “Splendor in the Grass.”
TV shows she would also often do.
However, she is best known for comedy.
Self-deprecating her comedy could be.
Crazy were her clothes, her hair, and her laugh.
She was a fan of plastic surgery!
She lived a good, long time – to ninety-five.
Six kids had she; two times she was a wife.
But it was her final live-in partner that
she claimed was the great love of her whole life.
"I come to the garden alone"
He is here in this quiet place
"He speaks and the sound of His voice"
Offers peace, hope in my space
"While the dew is still on the roses"
"I come to the garden alone"
The bird in the tree still doses
These moments with Him best known
"I'd stay in the garden with Him"
Though life to me is calling, tomorrow
"I come to the garden alone"
Again, how I want to go slow
"And He tells me I am His own"
His assurance is my capstone
Once more on this another day
"I come to the garden alone"
"In The Garden" Charles A Miles, 1913
Good wishes to my enemies, unfortunately there are a few
Those terrorists that are enemies, of both- me and you
I wish you all an ever-lasting life, and bid you all fare well
And hope to God you live to eternity...
In that place best known as hell
