Fellow

 • Such a charming fellow
• With eyes a vibrant yellow
• He'll stare you down
• Often with a frown
• Befriend him and you'll see he's quite mellow

Snakes That Befriend and Kill

death came from rattle snakes
build a fort just to dig his grave
air became thinner inside
with every single inhale
mesmerised by the good feeling
his obscured vision of love
couldn't differ between words or places
memories that still haunt him at dawn

one common bite and 100 different faces
excruciating pain and smile on their faces
black dahlia flourished in my rose garden
my eyes rained, someone punctured the cloud
scandals that can ruin lives, lies that can take lives
a friend is not a friend of yours
beware of those snakes
who befriend you and kill your soul

Premium Memberbefriend all tiny creatures

Befriend all tiny creatures
Open up your empathy genes
let the small ant live
OUCH!
Okay, not this small ant
because he was a biter

But befriend the moths, the butterflies,
the grasshoppers, the damsel flies,
be kind to the spider
allow her to build her gorgeous web
befriend the tiny ones

for who knows?
in an alternative universe
you might be wishing they were
all befriending you.

Premium MemberBefriend Everyone

Befriend everybody, make them like you
Do whatever you can, dance the old soft shoe
Make a peapod want to give you her brew
Embrace a cactus, loan a lizard your dew.

You never know when you will need a friend.
Some people do not have one to the lonely end.
Befriend everyone, some day you might need someone to help you.
In the meantime, you had better practice that old soft shoe.

Premium MemberSquirrels Befriend Ladybug Faeries

Squirrels befriended a soft-spoken kind ladybug faerie
She was thrilled with their oak tree which was incredibly airy
She asked if she could invite her friends Berry, Gerry, Terry and Larry
The squirrels enjoyed them so much they let her also invite her pal Mary.

Befriending the Beast

Jabberwock, oh jabberwock, how misunderstood you are
Fierce men come by to steal your head, but only leave a scar.

you yearn not for blood, but love I think,
a scratch beneath your chin.

But when men arrive with swords
you fight them on a whim.

Ignorant they are, dear wocky, scaly beast,
can't blame you now, my jabby friend, for making them your feast.

Premium MemberFragile Crown

Have you—the uncounted colorless—truly crowned on us?
You seem to grin triumphantly from your fake castle.
But wait!
We won’t count on your temporary winning.
Life has trained us to befriend enemies:
Cancer, Chicken Fox, Small Fox, Chikungunya, Ebola,
Influenza, Malaria, Rubella, Roseola, SARS, HIV,
You name it…and Corona is of no difference!
Playing with fright, you’re so contagious, but have forgotten
that fears are so contingent, and reliantly expedient,
when tamed with patience and intelligence
to befriend you with diligence:
And you, the new paralyzed friend,
are never now making us threatened.
So, stop there, and let’s just be friends.

Premium MemberLife Means Life

Life only means life
when sorrow is sturdily liberated
from a fearful heart.

Yet the strongest heart valiantly beats
when life frees life
into liberated sadness,
not to fearlessly beat but
befriend sorrow.

To Ignore Or Befriend

If you live your life correctly,
death walks close by your side

To constantly remind you,
that time’s not on your side

Your choice on how to handle,
  to ignore or then befriend

Will change your life completely
  —as each day begins again

What Sleep Can'T Befriend

Are you the hero
  of a recurring dream

Or the victim
  of a life undone

Are you the ambassador
  for all you esteem

Or a fugitive
 —a soul on the run

Are you a real friend
  beyond trial and strife

Whose allegiance
  now stalwart defends

Are you the true master
  of all your desires

Or the ghost
 —of what sleep can’t befriend

(Villanova Pennsylvania: February, 2016)

Befriend Time

Never believe time is straight
Then time you will never hate

Control your time with all your might
Keep time well within your sight

Time is a shadow of mist
Filling our souls with lies
It’s March we cannot resist
Fight back and utilise

Time our enemy or our friend
Don’t ignore it, it will be your end

Time our friend will make you free
Unlock life’s secrets and be happy

Mess with time it will drive you crazy
Time will make you sad and lazy

Befriended time in your life
Your life will be without any strife

Befriend

i recently befriended
her
and that might have been one of my biggest mistakes
because now i see why she's so great
and i realize now why you chose her
and i can't help but feel even sadder

My Heart Stands Naked - Befriend Yourself, and You'Ll Never Walk Alone Again

This spirit bared to your view

My thoughts....

Dressed only in their own sincerity

A love....

Exposed entirely by true feelings

Innocence raped....

Peeled away from this stripped mind

Sensitivity....

Ripped to its last lonely thread

My heart....

Clothed only in wishful longing throbs

"A poem to me is the essence of any thought,
Being built from its foundation into tower scraping sky.
It can fly like no other bird to places never seen,
Even spaceships can only dream of taking its place."

Befriend With Life

Allowing my shady daydream with me
to fond memories in every sweet second
from plain staring at the weakness palm
to strong ankles in chasing dreams
like
a dawn expelled by the warm ray of the sun

so fast

before i could reach
lingering nostalgia
to smell the coolest dew

soon comes nightfall to seduce
the jealous
and to praise
their beauty

as fast as a blink of an eye
second chases minute
everything passes
and changes
my willpower
to knit a sweet friendship
with this life

though the clouds in the sky accelerate
I’ll hang my feelings right on the sky
so that I can enjoy
the serenity

while the seasons keep changing
deciduous shade changes
I’ll leave my ears
on twigs and leaves
so that I can enjoy
their melodies
till
reluctant to say hello

as long as the earth is warmed by the sun
and the moon envelopes the night
I will keep sharing
My love
because I realize
those whom I love
and
those who love me
step by step
will
leave

or
one day
I will leave them all

for a life hides thousands of ravine riddles
invites curiosity
and leaves questions without answers

Befriend with life.

Befriend Death

I speak death,
He speaks death,
She speaks death,
They speak it too,
Loud and clear, mute and sheer, it speaks us too
Tell me of the mark it left in your heart
Tell me of the sound it made that night,
The words it forced out of their mouths,
Tell me of the tears it jerked out of their eyes.

No heart of steel can break out of its chains,
No mastermind can outsmart its moves,
For death is the core of the deepest wounds,
The criminal fate we can never remove

So befriend death,
Not all kinds of misery enjoys solitude
So befriend death,
Take it quietly to the side, ask it to take you too,
And befriend death,
Let it win you over, there isn’t anything worth it,
When you befriend death,
It’ll show you places, you’ve never heard of…

Befriend death – the world won’t give you better than what it’s got to offer
I’ll befriend death, take it, let it take me, light on, light off-
Friends.
