When a loved one commits suicide NO ONE wants to talk about it
Not about the person, the pain, the act,
they avoid it like the plague
Just because my son took his own life,
does not mean he was not a special person
HE was a kind, loving, giving human being
Just because he took his own life does not mean
he does not deserve to be remembered-
He does deserve for his name to be spoken
Just because he took his own life, does not
mean that I don't miss him with every fiber of
my being, I do and I wish it could have been different
Just because he took his own life, it does not mean
that I wish the situation were the same as when he was
alive, I do not, he was suffering from extreme illness and
I only want wholeness and peace for him, which I believe
he has achieved. But I will NOT avoid talking about suicide
and trying to DO SOMETHING about it, because it is a
painful terrible thing and it will not be stopped until
people talk about it and DO SOMETHING!
You couldn't find God, because you've become too serious.
You couldn't see her, even though she's everywhere.
I call your God her, and you're fast to correct it.
See how serious you've become?
Cuz even them, they don't care about their pronouns, titles.
But us human, we fight, we create 'movement' for such things.
See how serious we've become?
God is playful and creative.
He plays hide and seek,
Behind trees, clouds, mountains
In the eyes of the children,
and on their smile.
God is never serious.
We've built concrete structure, surrounded by walls, separated by fence, languages and religions.
And we call it the House of God, in all different names.
Our nations, our territory, our race...Don't we forget that the very foundation we are on, the Earth, it's part of his Kingdom?
God is never serious,
but don't we see, how serious we've become?

Radiance of life reigns around sweet relationship
offered by the great "I am that I am" Creator
as I yield to Him Who is my sovereign Director
midst blessed fellowship along wondrous worship.
Against suffering gloom of frustration-caused pain
I am bouncing back with hope-lit serenity-glow
revived to bloom along abundant blessings' flow
since the great "I am that I am" grants salvation-gain.
Gripped by "I am the way, the truth and the life" creed
surmounting unbelief's stroke that attacks the heart
triumphantly prevailing over weakness' dart
I am keeping the faith, shining with love and kindness' deed.
As parents,
we never know what a child will ask.
All we can do is,
be prepared.
Out of the blue I was asked,
"which one do you love more?"
That was an easy question and answer.
When I give out cookies,
each of you get the same number.
Because I love you each equally.
I write because of God; for God"
And the country that
Raised me.)
The birds are singing, because they can.
I am looking at the clouds, because I can.
That fly is bugging me, because it can.
Fifty words is quite a few
But way too few to say
I love you.
Flowery prose is quite nice
and poet’s pen writes it twice
But I will say it thrice…
Every dream begins with you
My heart beats just for you
My soul has peace because of you.
I said I liked your girlfriend
She was rude, mean and hateful
I pretended I liked her outfit
it was garish, gaudy and gruesome
I pretended I liked your pumpkin pie
You are the worst baker in the world
I could barely choke it down
I wanted to spit it into the garbage
I was overly complimentary
It was all a lie, it was a huge fabrication
There was nothing I liked
I even pretended to like you
You are my boss
I have to pretend
Because you are a blow-hard bigot
You are filled with ugliness, you are a brute and a bully
I will never tell you the truth
Because I need this job
But the next time you have a party
I will think up a better lie to try and get out of coming
In a world as divided as ours…
Wouldn’t it be a plus…
If we learned all we can
about others who seem different from us…
Because we love this diversity…and there is so much to know…
and because as humans…we love humanity so
Because I was Hungry —I stold some Bread—
The smallest Sin—I knew—
The Baker's Window—far too Bright—
The Empty Bin—more True—
Behind the Publix— they silently stood—
No Mercy in the Waste—
The Summer pressed upon my Lungs—
Its Furnace—could not haste—
The Pavement held no Gentle Bed—
No Sparrow called me Home—
The Houses wore their Bolted Hearts—
While I—was left to Roam—
The Mighty hid behind white Marble Walls—
The Lowly counted Crust—
A Kingdom weighs its Worth—in another's mans Gold—
But cannot now keep the smallest of Trust—
If Judgment comes—for taking Bread—
To quiet one day's Need—
May Heaven ask the Wealthier Hand—
How my Hunger made them bleed.
The reason I am here is because of you
You created me
In your image and
I am grateful for that
Yes I live a good life
I have nothing to
About my life
Yes the winter is killing me slowly
I hate to go out in the winter
But I have no choice
Because walking is good for me
I don't like the short days
That we have in the winter
It gets dark at 5:00 PM
Every single day
Good night my God
True friends are hard to find
and yet here you are,
woven into my life.
We've laughed till the world blurred,
we've stumbled, struggled and endured
but through it all we've marched,
shoulder to shoulder, side by side.
It's a quiet kind of bittersweet,
knowing we'll never sit in the same class again,
never catch the teacher's puzzled glance
in our sudden outbursts of laughter,
but I hope some day
we'll all be sat together
and nothing will have changed.
I like to think that if we met
in some time-twisted, altered reality,
that it would still be you and me,
walking on the grass in the midday sun
as if time had no claim on us.
It's not "goodbye"-
it's "until next time",
so let these memories be treasured in our hearts
forevermore.
Is it because I'm black?
You and I - both know,
The answer to that -
Yes-
It is,
Because - people like you,
Exist
To be - racist
Is it because im black -
That you are so full of hatred,
Or - are you just sad, are you just mad that you,
Are not like me.
You claim that you are superior,
Yet act,
All -
Inferior
When it comes to your exterior,
You,
Pay to have our skin -
Despite your claims that it is unattractive -
That no one could be attracted,
To my darkness,
But that makes no sense -
But in your defence its a tan,
In my defence it’s an excuse
A
Defence mechanism,
Used - then abused,
To uphold white supremacy -
And the proximity,
That comes with it
You say it’s because im black,
But why is that?
Can you not handle the fact -
That, despite what you say,
Your actions don’t match -
The hate - you,
Spit at us -
Is the same hate you swallow -
To avoid the taste of your own insecurities
It’s not because i'm black,
It’s because you don’t get to be that
Love by itself was not enough to make me yours when it lacked everything that made it worth fighting for
I was breaking my bones carrying the weight of our love alone
But I guess I didn’t carry enough
I begged for you more times than I can count because I believed it was you I couldn’t live without
But you seemed to do just fine
While I was breaking down losing something that was never really mine
And I think you tried to love me the way that I loved you
But I loved you for who you were and you loved me simply because I loved you
As much as I hate it, it’s true
And sometimes I’m still sad and sometimes I don’t understand
But I’ll always know I deserve a better man
I stand tall
I stand proud
I stand blessed
because I have you to love,
and loving you
makes life much more
beautiful.
Sunrises are more
spectacular
Sunsets are more
awe-inspiring
Moonbeams are more
sparkling,
because I get to share
all of this with you.
I love all
I appreciate all
I am thankful for all
the blessings in my life,
especially
because I have you to love,
and loving you
makes love much more
beautiful.
Flowers are more
lovely
Exotic birds are more
breathtaking
Earth's Colors are more
vibrant,
because I get to share them
with you.
I love deeper
I love stronger
I love wondrously,
because
I have you to love,
and loving you
makes everything much
more beautiful.
Our conversations
are more interesting
Our quiet times
are more romantic
and
I stand tall
I stand proud
I stand blessed
because
I have you to love,
and loving you
makes everything much
more beautiful.
