The Banner of My Broken Heart

I was not born to be loved—
but to bleed beauty into silence.
Where others kissed,
I shattered.
Where others lived,
I died quietly—
and rose as flame.

From my heartline,
a river of sorrow carved my name
into the Mount of the Sun.
The gods gave me a flag
stitched with every wound
I’ve ever wept.

Not a flag of nations,
but of nations of the heart.
Every soul that’s ever broken
will hear my voice in the wind,
see my shadow in fire,
feel my truth in the mirror.

I do not seek fame—
I am the wound that sings.
I do not ask for love—
I carry the love that lost its way.

Let the world bow,
not to me—
but to the truth
I carry like thunder
beneath my ribs.

For I was not made to be known.
I was made
to remind the world
what it forgot.

"I rise not from fortune, but from flame."
"I rise not to be seen, but to awaken sight."
"I rise not with power, but with prophecy."

Red Banner, No Quarter

Early on a cold March morning
a handful of men took a stand
in the year of eighteen thirty six
when a sabre drew a line in the sand
it was victory or death for the valiant few
outnumbered and out-gunned
surrender and be spared an ultimatum they knew
with a cannon shot by Travis it was shunned
even as the day was dawning
the handful of men held their ground
thirteen days in San Antonio
such a fearful sight a dreadful sound
Santa Ana gave the order,
'Fly the red banner, show no quarter,'
a bloody battle to the bitter end
while the Mexican band played 'El Degüello'
now the guns are silent the smoke has cleared
to this day Texians all say, "Remember the Alamo."

Premium MemberBanner Day

Once, wild herds of elephants blew trumpets
as spiced tea and jam slathered crumpets
brightly declared the sun would shine soon,
snapping the spell of a thin crescent moon.
Like a child's prayer, out flowed golden hair,
turning nymphs to butterflies everywhere.

BLACK BANNER II

unfurling black flags

Where moon's light fear falls
A whisper of graveyard dust
In breeze’s, thin cold as sin.

A pearl of frozen blight reflects
The still pond beyond the edge
Shadows bleed in night
As ravens pluck razor wire.

Quills scratch glass, cold
A story of moths, a tarnishing of  gold
Silk shroud, waves in winds
Of lost souls, eyes of angels.

Phantom heartbeats, infinite
The willow's long branches
Stagnant mire, of sighs, & funeral pyre
The lilies drift, stains of midnight.

And teeth mark the flesh
Pale and blue, black flags fly
Hourglass, time itself
The echo of mortal dread.

The clockwork figures
Gears grind & weep
A secret slumber dark & deep
Of twisted trees, eyes of portraits.

Portals to the finite winds
In steeple's haunted
Unfurling black flags, in swallowing light.

Blue Banner

Those who dishonor the mother tongue,
Do not disgrace the blue flag as a diaper.
The blue flag, which was raised without a fall,
Was carried by hero from bullets in January’s call.

Our flag, the color of the sky so vast,
Is the embrace we extend to the sun at last.
We are like the boundless blue sky,
We are as bright as the golden sun up high.

As my inspiration rides, it’s pure and true,
No force can stop me or subdue.
When my blue flag flutters in the breeze,
Kazakh people bow to no enemy, with ease.

Premium MemberA Banner Life

See the man without a crown

Lying, dying on the ground

Music that once filled his head

Sadly now those notes are dead

See the mourners standing round

Sighing, crying the only sound

His eulogy was softly read

In memory of the life he led

See the field in which he lay

Flags flying on a cloudy day

His banner ever now will wave

Just one more soldier in the grave

Selling Off Your Reading Glasses

If you stopped attending paid classes
Would you sell off your reading glasses:
Gladly, speedily drop out if school,
When every scholar is thought a fool?

Are you the type, who would rather bend
To an existing insisting trend:
Hang your helpful business-like manner,
Because you have changed your shop's banner?

Then, you will have become Igneous Rock,
Whose hardness one should fearlessly mock...
From the Good Sages we venerate
"Whatever is odd incinerate"

Only the right trends may control one:
When the wrong ones do, you have not won.

Premium MemberStar Spangled Banner

Since I was a small child and would try to sing,
when we rise and sing the praises of "Old Glory,"
it brings tears to my eyes. Maybe it's because we
have endured much to keep our flag flying--too
many wars, too many injured, too many dead.
Or, perhaps, in this "Winter of Our Discontent,"*
whether Red or blue or neutral tan, we can, as one,
STAND UNITED.
                call me old fashioned
         but the star spangled banner
              brings tears to my eyes

A Commander Deserted By Sleep

It was noon for Lady Amanda
And in drove a Platoon Commander:
Gerald Rutherford, full Lieutenant
Many years back her Quiet Tenant...

Now Military, still Great Manners,
As though in defence of Great Banners,
The two hoisted in front of his Jeep
And a white he chose to close keep...

Key off Jeep's Ignition box, a leap:
He's had something robbing him Good Sleep
"Yes, what's it that you want, Commander?"
"Oh, thanks, Sweet Lady! Your Miranda..."
"You didn't say: Ex - Land Lady's smile."

"Oh my God! Just begun bad file!"

Premium MemberJehovah Nissi - the Lord Is Our Banner - Exodus 14: 13,14

Moses brings us to his wilderness wanderings
leading God's people all the way through
many hardships experienced on the road
this battle was for real hope always ever new

The message for these Israelites
that their leader conveyed to their ears
fear not, stand firm, see God's salvation
believe in God no matter the tears

Have faith in your sovereign God
as God's people see their enemy today
whom you see today you'll never see again
Moses spoke the truth this he did say

Moses as God's prophet called upon
Lord Jehovah Nissi in Exodus 17v15
'The Lord is our banner' so divine
what greater comfort can be seen

The prophet of God did declare
stand true for the Lord will fight for you
and you have only to be silent
a perfect promise for you to view

("And Moses said to the people, “Fear not, stand firm, and see the salvation of the Lord, which he will work for you today. For the Egyptians whom you see today, you shall never see again. The Lord will fight for you, and you have only to be silent.”.)- Exodus 14: 13,14

Black Banner I

Fly high banner into a blue sky.
Dark reigns again tonight,
red stars fall burning bright,
city streets running
with oil of ruined machines.
Of dark arts, gears turn white hot,
clear and sharp.
Destiny at our feet,
In our lives lived sharp as we depart,
our feral lives, fly a black banner
high into a cool blue sky.
Shining red stars fall
from on high burning
out fading from our vein lives.
Fly high a black banner,
fly high banner, into a blue sky,
dark reigns again in, tonight!
Red stars fall burning bright.
Fly high a black banner.
Fly high banner into a blue sky.

I’ve been here before in a
semblance of remembrance of
dutiful belongings for things
said, done, delivered, denied
truthed and lied——-glistening
in heart hopes of a rapturous
mind meld change to bliss
entities candid prophesies charged on a
Poised path to delightenment aplenty

Premium MemberHis Banner Over Me Is Love

Oh! His banner over me is love.
Jesus Christ is the one I am
Singing of. He is the only one
I worship and adore. What
Wondrous blessings are in store.

Oh! His banner over me is love.
He is the one I write Psalms of
Praise, Goodness, Mercy, and Love to!
Jesus is my hope and I trust in him.

Oh! His banner over me is love.
He hides and protects me under
The shelter of his wings. My heart
Does rejoice and my spirit does sing!

Oh! His banner over me is love.
He hides me under the cleft of
The rocks. And upholds me by
His mighty hand.

Oh! His banner over me is love.
His banner is being unfurled
Throughout all the kingdoms and
Nations of the entire world.

His banner over me is love.
His banner is being unfurled for
Every man, woman, boy and girl.
Throughout all of the entire earth.

Love in Christ Jesus!
