Back Talk Poems | Examples

Too Young

you're too young to hurt and feel pain too young to be stressed and depressed and too pretty to look so mean…..please excuse my back talk but I didn't know stress and anxiety had an age requirement I didn't know bills were the only thing that could stress you out why do I have to be beyond grown to know what it means to struggle you talk down on my pain as if it doesn't exist beg me to talk to you about my wounds but make me feel as if I'm under interrogation when I do... that's why I lock myself in my room Call me antisocial call me a "teenager" call me whatever you want as long as your happy as long as you think I'm okay closed mouths don’t get fed but neither does an open one because as soon as i say something you tell me I'm too young so what's the point

As Conspiracies Plot

As conspiracies plot like blood clots
Sneaking up to give you that shock
Focused on the not
Please take a seat for those that cant take the heat
Because its about to get hot
As I express my freedom thought
About diseases caught and wars fought
As our government doesn't give us a thought
Unless our opinion is bought
No back talk or you might be shot on the spot
For interfering with the plot

This, is for the readers that don't like to read a lot.
It is part 1a of "Out of my mind" which is also mine.

Whittling

Souls standing in line
As the world pulls out its knife
To whittle them down
Carve up their lives

Does it have an idea
An insatiable need
As it keeps whittling
On them endlessly

You do have to wonder
What it truly sees
As it carves on you
And whittles on me

Like an old mountain man
By a cool mountain stream
With Father Time standing by
The world keeps on whittling

And it'll certainly not tolerate
Any back talk from you
Just sit still and be quite
Like a good piece of wood

As the world whistles
It whittles away
Impressed with itself
At the carvings it's made

But if it whittles to much
And doesn't care for the you that it's made
The world tosses you out
And lets the dogs play

Premium Member A Joyless Job

At the window, palms under my chin,
such beauty I see, out the frosted pane,
I was mesmerized, it showed in my grin,
so picture perfect, the snow covered lane.

My daydream was dashed, Mom called from the door,
"time to brave the cold and clear the sidewalk,"
grabbed my winter coat and boots from the floor,
I hate this chore, but knew not to back-talk.

"Don't slip on the ice, watch out for the plow,"
I hear, as orange shovel meets concrete,
shouldn't the county have this done by now?,
this takes all day, with snow piled up in feet.

Why freeze for allowance, I'll never know,
yet, I still find myself shoveling snow.

~The wave breaks
gently, caressing
over and over
it strokes
the rocky shore.
The shore
trembles
wet
ready
silvery
but mute.
The storm
glowers
angering the sea:
back-talk
leads to back
hands,
and the shore
maudlin
retreats.~

Large ~
boulders
break with the tides
of time, to slivered
shards all glistening wet.
golden in a new dawn
once whole now
 broken by the tide
still there's
beauty,
yet.~

Baby Boi

You shouldn't waste your time
Waiting foryour child to grow
Cherish the time you have with themnow
For tomorrow will become yesterday
And yesterday will become a month
A month will become a year
A year, a lifetime ago...
Before you know it
He'll be talking, then walking
Going to school, playing sports
Driving, dating girls
Getting a job, getting in trouble
Getting in fights, getting his heart broken
Moving out and starting his only family
Leaving you wonder where time when
Love the moment you're innow with him
For it won't last forever
Forgive the back talk
Forgive the trouble making
Forgive the fights and late nights
Remember you where young once too
Be proud of him no matter what
He does or becomes
For he will learn how to be a man
By watching and listening to you
So walk tall, stand proud
And I hoipe you have a Happy Father's Day

This is to my cute Andy Tovarez

It's You

Hey! Rudy, it's you!
That I'm talking to!

With your porkpie hat,
what's up with that
skanking around like you the town
Stompin up the streets as a matter of fact

It's you! That I'm talking to!
Oh rudeboy, I'm talking to you

Mash up the scene
looking pretty mean
starting up fights til the morning light
who you think you are, you little fiend

Back talk and junk talk
that's all that you are
carrying on like you're a big star
Step back and check
what's all this mess?
nobody cares who you think you are

Hey! It's you!
Hey rudeboy, I'm talkin to you

Will Your Heart Love Again

Can you erase the pain of the past, can you let go of
all the heart ache, what can I do to make you happy,
what can I do to make you smile, will your heart ever love again?

You trust no one, that isn't hard for me to understand,
I know we are together, but why does it feel like we are
only friends?

Can you erase the pain of the past, can you let go
of all the heart ache, I miss hearing you laugh.
What can I do to bring the joy back, Talk to me,
I don't want this to end, will your heart learn to love again?

Cha Get It

let people come up to you and say words that make no sence then back talk to
them.
cha get it?
let someone get an abnormal way of thinking that life is nothing in comparsion to
them.
cha get it?
let a man on a street corner sit there and wave his flag of indpendence called a
sign.
cha get it?
let someone learn that the values of life is not only the way of the world but the
line that which we live in.
cha get it?
let a teacher teach you everything they have to offer even if you aready know what
they are gonna say.
cha get it?
let a song that you have never heard before play even if you dont like the music.
cha get it?
let the rich people out there give there money to someone who dosent need it
and then the person who needs it just pass away.
cha get it?
let a women speak out of turn or phrase and let them yell to the top of any peak
they want to.
cha get it?
let some animal just roam into your yard and instead of running them off feed
them and take care of them.
cha get it?
for all these things are another way of showing people that you care even if you
dont help or talk to them all you will learn from them all.
cha get it?
I got it.

Behind Back Talking

I can't stand behind back talking people saying what they think about you behind your
back. I can't stand behind back talking if you have something to say just say it in my
face. I won't behind your back talk about you so please do me the curtsy and open your
mouth and say whatever you have to say about me to my face. Because I can't stand behind
back talking.
