AN ALLEGORICAL MATH LESSON
(Rational And Irrational Numbers)

              1.
Rational numbers,
And irrational numbers,
Teach many lessons:
Allegorical lessons,
On the living of our lives:-

                2.
We must live rationally;
Living irrationally sucks:
Swallowing life’s goals:-
That teasing “pie in the sky”,
Must be assessed by squaring
With God’s sage divine wisdom,
And His repeating guidance:-

                 3.
Thus, always strive to be
In logical reasoning
With ourselves, and with others:-
With deception all wiped out,
And all wrong things put aside,
Always seek to do what’s right:-

Trashcans

Mentally we rummage through
Our trashcans of the past
Viewing what was worthless
When in that trash were cast:

A milestone magazine we see in there
Worth thousands in “green backs” now
Oh my, if we had known
The things that we now avow.

Mountains of words we wished we’d said
Lying in a dusty, useless heap
Applicable now that time has passed
But … didn’t know that we should keep.

And people’s names we thought were bad
We discarded thoughtfully
But as time passed we slowly learned
Twas we who didn’t see clearly.

Critiques installed in folders bold
Of things we did not approve
Time moved on … we re-assessed
Those things now are “in-the-groove”.

Now we know of judgements made
Before our many years did flow
Were all based on things
We didn’t really know.

Redemption's Dawn

In the dawn of Trump power, swift pardons in flight
For those caught in Jan. 6 chaos, seeking wrongs to make right
Each story assessed, in the blaze of the day
With hope for redemption, he’ll pave the way

"God sent neither a philosopher or a general,
but a savior with the power to forgive."

                                                Quote _Unknown

I was sad to hear of a friends death
    it was so unexpected
I assumed that they would always be
      like a lighthouse guiding
so, I felt it was time for a dead reckoning
to lay bear my heart and flaws
admit that I am adrift and need to find my way
out of this labyrinthine called life
oh, the time of reckoning will soon arrive
    and my life assessed
perhaps tomorrow or in time
and what will God say . . .
at my friends funeral I had an epiphany
I felt like a ship tossed on the sea in a storm
and my only chance for eternal life was
     adead reckoning of my unworthiness
God, there are scars on the road map of my life
and it is weather-stained, I say
but, I see the sun rise life a jewel above each day
a gift from you to me, thank you
and I pray that with my final judgement
. . . . I will be lifted up with you

Grammar Ain't Your Daddy's Mommy

I've written words both big and small
While sometimes nerves get brittle
I strained at nouns, and even verbs
Assessed each jot and tittle

When writing’s done I self critique
And scope each application
Some days I feel the roof collapse
I want a quick vacation

There are some words I must insist
Be used with awesome care
Don’t mess around and fumble these
The words there, their, and they’re

So even if you get those right
There is a little more
Those three small words that scramble brains
Are you’re and your and yore.

When people travel to the country of Homonymiam, can we call them Homonymians?

When I Should Try to Take My Test

when I (we) take my (our) test
I am (we are) willing to suggest
(after it had been assessed)
(may be difficult to digest)
(may be pounding on my (our) breast
(which is what we have confessed)
(for occasion up had dressed)
(even though did become depressed)
(by us perfection should be stressed)
should try to do my (our) best

All the words in the title are used
in the poem. In addition, I have
made suggestions in parenthesis.

Premium Member Value

We think of value as a set amount
that's given to an item held or sold.
Most often- currency is paramount;
in olden times- perhaps silver or gold.

But, there is value in a different kind-
assessed and held by memories and heart,
which far surpasses any worth assigned;
for us, become forever works of art.

A mom's embroidery, dad's old-time tools,
or grandma's written recipes spelled out.
Intrinsic values follow no set rules;
the love assigned is what they're all about.

These values- held and stored by heart and mind
   Far supersede the ordinary kind.

God's Angels Bless Noble Individuals

God will carefully study the happenings
And shrewdly monitor played innings

He will deeply muse to arrive at the truth
And tackle strongly that which is uncouth

He will bless the good and curse the bad
And save those if nobility is by them had

He will treat with kindness magnanimity
And punishes those following enmity

He cares not for the riches possessed
But, by love, all are by Him assessed

God's goal is to maintain pure happiness
That is why God is enjoying uniqueness

God and His Angels protect all the souls
Who are in pursuit of highly merciful goals

Those who depend upon Him with love
Are rescued by Him with a strong vow

Always God's intention is to do a favor
His heart is like the soft petal of a flower

God and His Divinity are ever trustworthy
They will provide ever the needed sympathy

Go to God and offer a prayer touching His feet
He will greet with a benign act to kindly treat.

Tests Are No Light Winnings

Tests arrest students' rest:
Requesting the best their stomachs digest;
To see the ones that would be oppressed,
And the ones that would repossessed...
Providing solutions to teacher's quests,
From the simple twists to them he ingested--
That with pen, he will have marks attest:
Either make cane's justice get them swiftly arrested
Or make praise reinforces their progress assessed.

As far as my eyes could see were old stones
Storied lives, some remembered, most forgotten,
Once were flesh and blood, now only dry bones.

I wondered how many of them were misbegotten
Their worth now easily assessed with a few zeroes,
Storied lives, some remembered, most forgotten.

No doubt some were rogues, some honored heroes
Whatever their fortune at death they now have not,
Their worth now easily assessed with a few zeroes.

Each with only one thing in common, a grassy plot
Sweet-smelling flowers placed with due respect,
Whatever their fortune at death, they now have not.

I came here timorously, not knowing what to expect
Would I somehow experience a new appreciation
Sweet-smelling flowers placed with due respect?

Walking among these stones with a rapt hesitation
[As far as my eyes could see were old stones]
Would I somehow experience a new appreciation?
Once were flesh and blood, now only dry bones.

Its the Best

he was pouring at the happening and usually there is a fair amount of disdain for the enthusiasts
who like to sidle up to sample the snacks, libations and what have you goodies.

he was a wisp of fair blond - a hippy kid.

he asked me if I would like him to crack my can of brew
I told him that this was not necessary

I looked at some stuff and listened to some other stuff
trying to maintain a bit of elbow room
while the crowds swirled and yammered
biding some time before refill and then I went back for another and he
cracked this one for me and said "cheers"

I drank it down and went for a walk down the street
I did not want to appear to be too gluttonous so I gave it some minutes

when I resurfaced in the crowded room and foraged thru the groups back to my man
he smiled and said "I grabbed this one at the bottom so that its chilled and now it needs to be shotgunned".

I laughed and retorted with double thumbs up
Impressed that this cat accurately assessed my quench and provided a
responsive and congenial atmosphere in one that can be rather unpleasant and clannish

my man had it
and I salute him for it
the damn hippy dippy
had it

An Orwellian Explanation

Orwellian in nature, data collecting agencies are necessary;
They keep adding info to the files created at someone's request.
Everything gathered is retrieved, analyzed, and assessed,
So there’s no need for alarm. Live your lives as you see best,
And maybe a minor infraction discovery occurrence at worst.
And a penalty imposed, nothing unbearable, “A small price for forgiveness.”

Focus on the big picture; be rest assured there is purpose without flagrance.
After all, we seek the same things; peace, prosperity, health, and clear conscience.
And when glitches are found, they are expeditiously corrected by the agencies.
So always remember, information is vital. Continue to be an obligatory participant.
Exercise discipline for yourselves and the children. You are a generation of promise.
Individual sacrifice is honoured for the greater and common good of the entirety.

“Where shallow waters flow, there, I cross with many.
I journey as far as I’m living; faith will do the rest.”

In White

When his virtue in the blue waters was guessed in white
The night angel with all his might was accessed in white

He was described holy as the Bible of Jesus
In dreams his name to a fairy was blessed in white

Who was listening to His sermon? Mine and your soul
On the day of inception, when God addressed in white

When she was posing on the eve of celebration
Then I, by her embellishments, was impressed in white

Each tile is blood stained in emperor's court of justice
These are all the cuts of the swords which were stressed in white

Oh! The moment when my letter was in your fingers
The feelings I wrote in it and heart were pressed in white

Cacti along the way, no water, a lone ranger
Was looking for you, Laila! His horse harnessed in white

The nature of my sins can be measured on that scale?
The purity of her nature was assessed in white

She was going out of church, with her groom happily
On the good day, l saw her last, she was dressed in white
