Ascendance Poems | Examples

Occupy the Sky

I've always watched you soar,
It was the landing that caught my attention.
Knowing that the sky has always seduced your spirit
in search of its border,
it saddened me
to see you perched on the limb of transcendental ascendance.
The Breeze of Time
will not allow you to occupy the sky.
But beauty
is Infinity never in need to build that nest...

RIP Mom
Sickness couldn't keep you caged, Lady!

Premium Member A chance to rise

And I'm guarded,
like I'm wounded,
my first instincts,
are to find a hole,
dig in, seek ascendance

I wanna lighten my dark,
I wanna swallow the sun,
I wanna feel single; one of one—
I wanna spark transcendence

To feel the pulse of life in every sad heartbeat
So I fire the dreams where passion finds defeat
Flame fueled, flowing forever forgoing deplete
Phoenix rise singular; not to be repetition, like a parakeet

A Poet's Eyes

Seeing — Unseeing
the words drift away
far into the current
of what’s left to say

Passing my cortex
and into the void
where blind recognition
awaits to destroy

Familiar or foreign
once stopped in their tracks
new meaning escapes
with no looking back

The Poet’s eyes squinting
as light filters out
transcendence recaptured
ascendance remounts

Through slivering darkness
a vision appears
and mocking the order
old images clear

Those words once discarded
reform juxtaposed
through eyes resurrected
— released from the flow

Premium Member Bewitching of the Falling Hours

Bewitching of the falling hours, true ascendance found
By this chance to rise, I have real transcendence found
Your lips find a way to see me; two eyes make the voice
No tears I shed, you're being seen; no disruptence found
I'm stunned; are you a living form of ketamine?
It can't be; you touched me, I am not convenience found
Your eyes are the stars, hard to be lost, but lost; I am
Sailing toward the view; we are their convergence found
Hold no obligation, you repair this damaged heart
You are flame eternal for me; no dissidence found

So Stand the Fallen

Very soon marmosets and moose
will get their vaccines.

A lone gnome fishes in a Koi pond.

The light of the moon
has been dimmed by a Chinese switch.

Elite bands of cockatoos
fight for free speech, but just for themselves.

Preening jackasses bray in the green rain
and the songs are all the same.

A fearful old man stammers in the dark.

So far the greater apes are in ascendance
however, a turtle and trumpet alliance
has formed a combo of resistance.

Four masks a day and a cup of instant propaganda
keep us hiding behind a surreal subterfuge.

Afghan warlords wander empty streets
handing out relief packages.

Birds rent-out tree space to killer bees.
Belfry’s are bankrupted by fleeing bats.

Harpies and stool pigeons
turn in their stools for further interrogation.

King Kong whimpers inside a skyscraper closet,
too shy and lonely now
to swat even the smallest of biplanes.

October

If every month’s a color
Then October has to be
The same orange as a pumpkin
And I think we’d all agree.

For as fall, in its ascendance,
Turns the leaves and ripens gourds,
Golds and oranges and ochres
Are the notes of autumn’s chords.

So I welcome Ms. October
Gussied up in tangerine,
Bringing just enough of chilly days
To supersede the green.

Cupid Pulls Back the Bow

It is time for natural blossoming
Into each other’s blood corpuscles
It is the time for the chocolate melting
Under the heat of chaotic muscles

Come and put out the light
It is the spring in your Alps
Fascinating is the dynamite
Red flowers in our pulse

What is the matter darling
Will you defy all red signals
Your hemoglobin has picked up rhythm
Crazy looks in your petals

Oh, oh, it is the eternal generator
Of fire in love and sword in passion
Those little winged cupids in every letter
Of your lyrics in impish invitation

It is the churning time of our existence
It has come in the surges of fusion
Of quivering and pulsating ascendance
Towards the patterns of swirling blue explosion

The love of mine Valentine
I know my time with its plough
Seeks to combine the rivers yours and mine
As the cupid pulls back the bow

Loveless

?Let nothing besiege your lame love
Nothing of that sort that's perennial and abiding
That is sure and true and sweet
Like the passion of our archetype martyrs of love

Let nothing serve you as an anchor for your putrid ambience
Obsequieses and ballads and dirges sung by the devil's choir
Are your portion of a serenade of chivalry
Love the one without love and die so

So come from the ascendance of the glorious cosmos
And rub thy foulness with the greed of lucifer
For it is befitting for your souls to love the way love is bought
Not the way love is worth

Love

Love

An enigma that knows not the count of time
A vast ocean, measureless its borderlines,

Astral light, the luscious light of smiling moon
Heavens can't fathom its pleasant, charming guiles.

If it catches a heart unguarded, it plunders
Makes it yield to vast domains and heaven highs;

Now with secret signals, now with puzzling ways,
Tells such stories of heart tongue can't verbalize.

From its glory height if a splendorous sign one sees,
He or she will not distinguish gain or loss.

In a moment it can seize the reins of reason
In its mind, fiction or fact's an even toss.

If a beggar should approach its lofty heaven
Such a height no king is apt to realize.

With a shafting flame it will cause an upheaval
It surpasses Milky Way in its ascendance.

If a heart should be a target of its arrows,
It will no longer know of patience or endurance.

So, what is the truth?
My friend, have you thought deeply about life?
Have you thought long and hard about the endless ticking of time
Have you pondered and mused and ruminated with all your mind and soul?
I have lain on many an afternoon
Under the old cedar on Rideout Ranch
And I have reckoned the infinite mercies of the wind.
Have pondered the intrepid ascendance of the sun.
The simple pretense of the flower.
And I have considered the Earth’s colossal incessant turning.
Have wondered and contemplated long into the night
The whirling pulling maelstrom of the human dilemma:
To live is to ultimately die!
And so,
What is the truth, my friend?
Why are we here on this huge ball of dust and water and fire?
And where do we go after the body ceases to breathe?
My friend,
Close your eyes!
Close them tightly and never open them again!
And then you will see the truth!

Shadows of Betrayal

Explosions, torque, the unspeakable
Magnetic force of your weathering
Pulling in through our sweetened bell
Grieved as yet undelivered

Is it foolish, piling dreams upon dreams
And lying among skulls past their due

While refashioning the latest grab
Unprincipled and colloquial
Simply juiced by the lack of you

I still think of you, coming close
So close that we lift
Out beyond graves and gravel

I know I'm losing you
The toothless ascendance of choice
And you're distracted
From comprehening our story in piece

Does delusion spill so grandiose
I'm flying mermaids from coast to coast
Get back in this game
Full born and bright

Following the future
Out of love's dastardly grip
But I cannot shake the mist
Your shadow has me eclipsed

January Stance

Look and review. Look and review.
The New Year is coming. Review’s what we do.
What have I believed in? What lies have been told?
What truth has ascendance? For truth is my gold.
What lies have invaded and reworked the Truth?
Where have I departed, diminished forsooth?
Where have I veered off from true Liberty’s path,
Compromised integrity, brought on God’s wrath.

The New Year is coming. A new slate is here.
History’s drawing new pictures of fear.
Will it be fear of what people might say,
Or fear of the Good Lord who loves us today.
Shall I pay attention to cultural lies?
Or shall I look Heavenwards, one of God’s spies
Who constantly roam around Heavenly places
To bring back its perfumes in kindness and graces.

The spies of our Father have wisdom to go
From a closet of prayer to the big world below
With the gifts of the Spirit, of wisdom in kind,
Knowledge un-natural, miracle mind.
So how may I check that my pathway lies true?
More time in the Heavenly places is due,
That the words of my mouth, which are weapons enough,
May achieve on this earth all His miracle stuff!
