Upside!

Maybe it’s time I spoke my mind.
Tell me, what’s the punchline?
The world is upside down.
So my smile becomes a frown.

Spending these dark nights
Alone, under these streetlights
With a plate of alfredo.
I sleep without you.

My friend is gone to Pennsylvania,
The rest drifted away.
I’m in love. It’s mania.
Wish it would stay this way.

Too late, you're a creep.
Pawned, manipulated by one.
You drove away the rest.
You gave everything but the best.

Everything is falling out of scheme.
Lines
Are breaking out of place.
Shattered.

Interactions flew by today.
The world is grey.
Day by day,
“Let’s play the funny guy.”

Let’s look at the upside.
Will you be my guide?
I’ve run out of ash and string,
And I’ve burned everything.

Premium Member Fettuccine Alfredo

    Fettuccine alfredo
       is so delicious;
 I highly recommend it!
  The rich creaminess
 waters mouth; add in...
       chicken strips,
             yum!

Frost

Wonder'd I amiss
forgotten in the snow past fallen-
warmth in reproach of the sun,
for early has the season come-
and having lost their hue,
were the gathering of leaves
and so become'th the frost
subdued.

Woven

Sweet and endearing
the supple honey of life's essence-
is found the soul,
of my beloved's embrace
existence
laden in longing distress-
there's no mystery of our passion
if I must say
fully- I savor the warmth
of a woven scribe,
love within each sentiment
of devotion
before the gazing eyes
of a burning sconce
that I might hold dear
these words-
I love you
and no other shall I love.

Toxin

Taken from the chosen reality, have the locks of the celestial Edens gate been opened by the stained keys of a belladonna bloom, where the palate of its enchanting toxins have been sown as hells ploy, swilled continually as an enriched elixir of a paralyzing elation that's only self serving in its allure, as it can only offer ruin.

Nothing

Shall there be a soothing rest within the arms of a shallow grove, from whence the aches of an early dawn arise in its  presence, as a burning flame before the veiled eyes of a sterling mire? Count it not as so, that all inherently good things one might seek may be levied by the hands of time, for those that are of the same zealous mind, that can neither be accepted nor denied.

Sterling

Shall there be a soothing rest within the arms of a shallow grove, from whence the aches of an early dawn arise in its  presence, as a burning flame before the veiled eyes of a sterling mire? Count it not as so, that all inherently good things one might seek may be levied by the hands of time, for those that are of the same zealous mind, that can neither be accepted nor denied.

Inevitable

" I don't believe in things that will never be, but when it comes to you, I haven't found a better way to waste my time, than believe in things that I know only bring temporary happiness. It's satisfying in way knowing when I finally do snap out of it, I will have already gone crazy. "

Era

" The tears of an Era have since faded to dry stone, shaped by the forced hand that has long since confused chaos as peace, whose only testament can be found left inscribed on the fragility of each granite slab, where many finally rest. "

Restless Heart

" My love grows inherently restless in your absence, where many are the days that try to reconcile from the torn pages of time, a broken heart condemned to endure the fire of every age, leaving nothing more than the ash of an unfulfilled life, that goes without what it desperately needs, to just feel wanted. "

Bad Alfredo Sauce

I visited Chef Giorgio's in Italy for a bite to eat.
And ordered Chicken Alfredo after taking a seat
But the pasta was too thick
Made by a chef who was sick
I got him fired and once again he's just a deadbeat

Alfredo should be served with a good cream sauce
But Giorgio's was disgusting, tasting like dross
He accused me of lying
I guess he'll soon be dying (again)
I don't give a fig if he's angry with me and cross

Chef Giorgio was unemployed so started writing
But his poetry was awful; accusive and inciting
He was found guilty of slander
Just like Goosey Goosey Gander
Away the old bird flew without another sighting

Love Drunk

" What other way can I live, besides being love drunk on the thought of what could be, giving in to every desire that endlessly thinks of you well into the midnight hour of every day, invading every second of my dreams with the constant seduction that easily binds every ounce of my senses, that constantly craves for more. "

Becoming Light

' I dont know about the creation of time, or how we live in between the present and the future, that is for only us to decide, but it does pass and we get older, more prepared for what some say is the inevitable end, the rapture of all this and what its become, up until what it's become is no more, but just a small space in an infinite universe once lived by us in a sliver of light, that we called life. '

Webs

Webs were in the corners of ever room, laying host to the abandoned chambers that fell in the shadows of permanent decay. Long-standing remained the feast of unwanted affection that stained each walll into the submission of a now collapsing house, brought to ruin from what was absent in those painful hours of grief and rejection, that did nothing more but slowly take away my sanity.

What's the Use of Envy

taken with envy
the soft petals of a rose
holds itself a hedge
where its complimenting thorns
remain embraced in flawed hands
