" The course of true love never did run smooth " - A Midsummer's Night’s Dream (Shakespeare)
TRUE LOVE
True love, magical, bewildering at times!
Red in colour when experience the passion,
Unraveling a puzzling mystery of the heart
Ends often with heartbreaking sacrifice !
Love which can never be forgotten, never wiped out,
Often facing unimaginable despair and morbid grief,
Voice of wild youth can never be silenced with threats,
Emotions undying never crushed by misfortune!
I see a tree in front of my window
It has a strong root on its bellow
It looks greener than tomorrow
Once it looked grey like sorrow
The sky looks bright again
My window is clear and unstrained
I see clouds smiling in the vain
Maybe the rain washed all the stain
As I'm walking in my feet
As I'm seeing all my deeds
As I'm hearing all the sounds
I touch the pace that is unbound
I smile through the beauty of nature
There's a version of me waiting in future
So I nurture the time that is immemorial
Because she might not feel all of its appeal
Just like today, tomorrow and the day after
I will walk with the memories I gather
There will be a part that is irresistible
There will be a chapter where I'm incapable
So I should smile a little more
I should hear the sea shore
Admiring the present isn't tough
Because I exist in the people I love
Days are passing without any realization
My heart simpers with your imaginations
Something is stuck in my brain
Heart said I want to see you again
My window is filled with mist
The poetry told me to hold your wrist
When I stepped to that Room again
Realised I miss you often
Are you a rain of distress?
Or a rain of full of ease?
Whenever the drops touch my face
I get a reminder of your essence
Something kept making me empty
Maybe I want to see you in front of me
Drench me in a July rain
Tell me about all of your pain
I'm going through some hardest stuff
Yet I like you more than enough
Time keeps chasing our story
Everyone reminds us it's momentary
10 months are left to the termination
Just don't let this end in infatuation
I want to spend my Decembers with you
Hold my hands in a night full of snow
I want to try it with no remorse
Take me in and remove the curse
Don't let us go on vain
Set forth to your resilience
Hold on the time
Don't let us stuck in a poem
Prove me right before the weather gets more tough
Say you like me more than enough
September, once, in golden days of youth,
Enduring boredom left by summer fun,
Perchance, 'twas time, and yes, it was in truth,
To go to school again, so off I'd run.
Enquiring there, the posted classroom list,
Mentioning names of friends and one to teach,
Below the teacher's name, the friends I'd missed.
Em, which teacher? The one to purr or screech?
Responsibly, I must get some supplies,
For, I'm a big kid, up another grade -
A notebook and lunch pail to show the guys,
Lest I forget, some marbles I can trade.
Let's hope my teacher puts my little chair,
So, I'm next to Annette with braided hair.
Rustling green leaves in the white wind
Amber feeling of red renewal again
Indigo raindrops that melt and blend
Natures fountain of youth like dance
Friendly clouds hazel hover in sky
Amethyst wings of singing butterfly
Lavender lovely liquid lullaby
Like a drop of denim heaven this July
he knew everything; the answers were clear
exceptionally confident, for he was eighteen
youthful exuberance kept his ideals safe
dreaming of his future was a joy at this age
advantage of being young is super power of feeling invincible
yelling his truth to the moon in his heyday of life
Jovial month shines resplendent,
Unable to hide the fluttering fervour.
Lighting up broken dreams stuck into dark hearts.
Yachts sailing through awaken minds brimming with youth.
Allow the rain
Hunt for berries
Echoes cast our shadows
Accept the start
Deduce the summer nights
Lemon scented mead
Initiate the Eclipse
Escape the Bunker
Silver snow storms with warm shelter
Protect the youth
Educate society in past innovations
Allow for Patience and Understanding
Create solutions to advance Humanity
Erect monuments to recognize Greatness
Reluctant to be a child
Unsupervised in the wild
Never dreamed of trafficking
All the screams inside happening
Wide eyed and busy tail
All points bulletin for sale
Youth is lost sold to a John
Simple teen years now gone
J is for joy, the feeling of a new year
A is for adventure, the promise of the unknown
N is for nature, the beauty of winter
U is for unity, the bond of family and friends
A is for aspiration, the goals we set for ourselves
R is for reflecting on the wisdom we gain from the past
Y is for youth, the spirit that never fades

Dazed as the phone wire strangled my neck
End of my youth faded with you
Noise of my tears echoes neighbouring walls
Innocent dreams dimmed in stardust so prematurely
And still every day I ask the sky why you are a star
Lost in the solar system without a glittering goodbye.
“The deepest definition of youth is life as yet untouched by tragedy.” –Alfred North Whitehead
Yearning, oh what yearning do I have for sweet, precious youth.
Optimism dwelt inside me then. Little did I have to dread
Until the onset of my middle years when truth
Tiptoed toward me; later, stark reality turned me on my head!
How harsh life can be. From my pen - truth’s poetry I’ve bled.

Yearling struts its liberty in unstinting energy
Oblivious to reserve that shoes a gallop with dullness
Unaware of regret's stable and the binaries of age
Trotting between indolence and indulgence
Hot-blooded youth that knows the sway of vigor in
every race, instinctive
right out of the gate
Acrostic composed May 5/2023
Virtue clothed in a circle of rainbow
Innocent, she dances towards the sun
Blessed with youth and beauty and character
Gentle as the zephyr that kisses her hair
Yearning for golden joys and happiness
Observing natural goodness and kindness
Radiant, she glows like the sunrays that bathe her
Gracefully following the trail in the forest glade
Intriguing everyone around by her sincere purity
Resolute, she will not stop at any obstacles
Lovely, lithely waltzing like a dream, beyond reach.
