January

J is for joy, the feeling of a new year
A is for adventure, the promise of the unknown
N is for nature, the beauty of winter
U is for unity, the bond of family and friends
A is for aspiration, the goals we set for ourselves
R is for reflecting on the wisdom we gain from the past
Y is for youth, the spirit that never fades

*I wrote this poem on January 16, 2024, as part of a ’30 days of poetry’ January challenge. This was day 16 and the prompt was: Write an acrostic poem using the letters that spell January.
