A moment

        A moment in time
A moment unlike this
      A moment so sublime
A moment of bliss
       A moment of shock
A moment of disblief
      A moment to take stock
A moment though breif
       A moment of thought
A moment of clarity
        A moment cut short
A moment in history
        A moment to adjust
A moment if one
         A moment for us
A moment now gone

Premium Member A Moment In Time

As I sit here in the dark,
the definition of life crosses my mind.
What if it were imaginary?
A memory of someone else's time,
As I contemplate the idea
That there would be no me without you
Sends a void space to the corners of my eyes.
Now the darkness that I didn't see
Becomes a light in my mind.

Premium Member Never Waste A Moment (to tell her)

A room, stilled in silent contrition, steeped in repentance.
Freshly dressed Roses at tables end.
Flowers die too; he confesses!

No more will he discern her voice
nor caress the gentle source of her existence.

Slumbered back against the cathedra he
decries the mellow cherub of the cardinal
perched aside his window.
A message?
As he dreams a tormented reflection of his past,
a tear pearls gently down as memories play
Silently in his pain.

He repines only now that; " if only he had been a better man". Hoping in chance that she may forgive.

Cease this pain to not sustain beyond his wish for a moments exchange!

His dream delayed. For his bride of many a year appears, waking him from his mare. In somber refrain he delights. Its you my love!

Never waste a moment to tell her.

Premium Member A Moment of Love

Is there anything more beautiful than your touch?
As I watch you undress, I drown in your eyes.
The depth of feeling which pours from them
devours every inch of my skin.

Your hands have no need to caress me,
for your silent stare holds in its intensity.
Slowly each item of clothing is removed
and I catch the breath which escapes me.

You smile at my expression of desire
and adore my patience as I wait.
My breath catches in my throat
as my eyes connect with yours.

For a brief moment which lasts an eternity,
we’re one in our graceful, locked calm.
Such power in our silent embrace
overwhelms us with sensuous supremacy.

Our eyes water as we understand the depth
of the other's feeling, tingling with expectancy.
As I slowly brush your lips with mine,
gentle feathers of love fall in response.

Lost in each other's beautiful silence
we make love on the shore of our dreams.
Beautiful splendor takes over our souls
and we shower in orgasmic screams.

Premium Member SO SPAKE SIMPLE SIMON - A Moment at the Crosswalk

Line of Inquiry: We look at spirit not at form. Our touch is gentle, kind and warm. We but reflect God’s love and light. ‘Tis the path to which we conform.

She stood beside the crosswalk in the rain,
her coat drenched, her gaze turned toward the ground;
I almost passed, weighed down by my own haste.
But something in the storm—perhaps its whispered strain~
unveiled her spirit like a lantern found,
a quiet glow no weather could erase.

I offered her my umbrella, small and slight,
and in her lifted eyes dawn broke anew~
a warmth that mirrored God’s unbidden grace.

Thus kindness shaped the path my heart pursued,
teaching me form is shadow, spirit light.

Premium Member If only for a moment

The sun rose with pomp.
Graciously it greeted its every loyal subject.
The morning headed for perfection.

Premium Member A MOMENT OF WONDER

Sometimes wonder arrives softly,
a small turning of the world
you sometimes miss~
like how marigolds hold sunlight
long after the sun has gone,
their petals warm as if remembering
something the rest of us forgot.

I walk past them
and feel the air shift,
a hush,
a widening~
as though the ordinary
has stepped aside
to let the holy breathe through.

And for a moment
I am nothing but eyes,
nothing but awe,
standing in the soft gold
of a flower that never learned
it was small.

Premium Member A Pause, a Breath, a Moment Held in Glass

At that sacred hour when the light concedes,
And the sun, a tired monarch, slowly bleeds
Across the horizon's wide and waiting stage,
The world turns over a new, dimmer page.
The shadows, long and languid, start to creep,
And lull the noisy, waking world to sleep.
The sky, a bruise of amber, rose, and rust,
Surrenders all its certainties to dust.
A final, fleeting, fiercely golden flare,
Then softens to a hush in the evening air.
Our voices, once so bold, now fall away,
As thoughts too loud for daylight start to sway.
A loneliness, a quiet passenger,
Sits down with us, a familiar visitor.
And in its company, a ghost of romance
Waltzes on the air, a single, saddened glance
At love once held, now just a fading hue,
A part of day the night has swallowed too.
This is the sundowner, more than just a drink,
A ritual upon the mind's own brink.
A pause, a breath, a moment held in glass,
Where what has been and what will be both pass.
A reckoning with all the light has burned,
And all the truths the darkness has not learned.
A sweetness in the letting go, the fall,
Suspended, in the quiet, after all.

     Pardon me, pardon you
       Politeness but a moment

A Moment to Stay

The bell comes before I’m ready--
as I move through moments,
I thought would hold.
It meets me in the middle of moving on
between forward motion
and memory.

It doesn’t call out.
It doesn’t demand.
It just waits,
a small opening
where I stop,
and let the moment be.

A child came with very little;
no wealth, no welcome.
Only a tenderness held in trust.
Love came without protection,
and it was not lost.

The bell doesn’t leave.
It waits.
I don’t have to move.

This Christmas;
I take a moment,
I hear it clearly,
I stay.

A Moment of Motion

Shift in place,
Move still while keeping silent.
Deafening screams locked behind teeth
Some profound rage kept from an
Ineffable target.

Held In place,
By un-moving days.
Simmering at the surface.
Hidden by the stoic face.
Waiting for the instance,
When the world will cease the snail's pace.

Primed for even a sliver of movement.
So it may strike a hand into the stream.
As time rushes by, finding its mark.
An object to direct that malice towards.

Expelling the poison that has accumulated.
Worsening with every breakfast and dinner.
Despite the mania it brings,
And injuries I inflict.

It is cathartic.
A moment of motion
Is better than a life of stillness.

Premium Member Just for a moment

In your company, beautiful
memories were made,
A love we once shared has
faded,
These words in your letter, I wish
I hadn’t read,
Just for a moment, my heart bled.

In a brief space, our world did spin
and love’s flame did soar,
But now time's cold breath says
no more,
Cherished moments on the road we
tread will be in the past,
Just for a moment, I wish the dye
hadn’t been cast.

Whispers of love buried deep,
In memory, they will now sleep
In my heart, a scar lies open
within,
Just for a moment, I thought,
True Love doesn’t always win.

Quote: True Love

True love
happens between two hearts
Flowing from season to season
Forming a strong bond that
bends
But once broken rarely ever
mends.

May we be blessed to have some days
(knowing our time on Earth is thin)
to take a moment and just enjoy
the moment we are in.
