My Prayer Against the 7 Deadly Sins

Lord, abet me put aside

The vain and frivolous pride

I nurture within me inside

Lord, do not allow to seed

Vicious barnacles of greed

Eventhough I am in need

Lord, erase the vanity

Revealed by mask of envy

Searing me to atrophy

Lord, shield me from glaring gust

Of humid, temperate lust

For it taints my soul with rust

Lord, allow not to gather

In my heart and mind anger

Make it lag, take it faster

Lord, let me not be clumsy

Due to frisky gluttony

Horror of obesity

Lord, shun me from insolence

Brought by putrid indolence

Rip this slough of negligence.

Breaking Benjamin - Far Away

Just as the elements within our lives are inevitable to intercede
There are also uncontrolled forces that have to circle the world
Pride, envy, gluttony, lust, sloth, wrath, and greed
These 7 deadly sins are sold more than the blooded diamonds and pearls

With prayer and faith I stand next to my mother.
And with undoubted submission I'd give anything for my sister.
I'll forever go to war for and with my brother.
But ever since Cain killed Abel, family's have killed, and killers get richer.

Lord when you gather your souls back please grant us your mercy
Grab our hearts with the inner core of your palms.
We drink from a cup but Revelations still leaves us thirsty.
Deliver me like the light you spoke of in the beautiful book of Psalms.

Wash the pain, suffering, and betrayal from our flesh.
Let your light dry away the history of grieving within tears.
Invite me to throw away my sins as I ask with all my chest.
And forgive man as I will forgive myself when your flood crosses near.

Greed That Fills the Evil In Me

When we spin sin we think it's a win
We fill the evil that is within
Then we plant the seeds
That consumes my every need
When we feed our greed
It's hard to break free
Only then are we able to see
How it has its daggers into me

Oh Lord I plea don't give up on thee
Show me away from this hell
Make my spirit well
So my heart will swell
Oh please don't let me fail
My soul is so frail

Taking advantage of others
I find myself ducking for cover
Show me the light
So I can fight these feelings
That just might
Come back into sight

Take my hand so we can take flight
To your kingdom where I can
Get my greed set free
To fix what is broken inside of me
So you would know
How my heart grows in you

Greed is one of the 7 deadly sins
With you my Lord
My life can now begin
When we trust God we all win
He makes it possible to live life
Free of all sin

Dark Secrets

Say, do you harbor a secret true
like everyone else and me too?
All of us have something to hide
Affairs we would rather set aside.

An illicit fling or an erotic scene
Oh, of nature grave and keen,
A wild fantasy or wishful whims,
maybe, one of the 7 deadly sins?

Like the wilted flower in a book
or the rickety skeleton in a nook,
We hide our frailties in the far recess
of our mind for no one to access.

I was married ten years to the day,
She was too and in a family way,
Yet petal by petal I pried open the rose
from where in my neighbor’s yard grows.

We all succumb to carnal sentiments
unmindful of the 10 commandments;
If anyone can prove me otherwise
that truth I speak not but plain lies.

Forever to hold my peace I swear,
Not to write, speak or ever share
my thoughts or opinion in this case
until the last day of my life I face!

Sonnet To Our Generation

We didn't start the fire
we just built an empire
of people who can't read, or spell
that's why they go to jail
and then die, and burn in hell.
Books like Fifty Shades Of Grey
now, everyone is gay.
We've become a broken down system
the 7 deadly sins,
can you list em'?
I bet you can't even read
no,
you rather sit at home and smoke weed,
that makes you're lungs bleed.
We need,
more people like me
that write poetry,
can't you see
what has happened to our society.
2Pac for president
not some idiot,
who isn't even a legal resident.
We like music
by artists who can't sing
now, we trash Stephen King,
what does this mean?
People go insane
when they look at the bullet,
in their best friend's brain.
We need more changes
and less gun ranges
shooting strangers
all this anger
putting other people in danger
is only cool for a fool
that's why we need to go to school.

Premium Member Contrition

We need sorrow for our sins
Means turning away from evil and turning to Eternal God
Sins may be mortal or venial sins
Mortal is gravely sins
Venial is daily that pertain 7 Deadly Sins
Perfect Contrition arises from the love of Eternal God
This loving sorrow remits venial sin or mortal sins

Sin

What is the meaning of sin?
Why do we sin?
Is it in our nature to sin?
Since we are born sinners
Hmm
That's a tough one I don't have the answers for
But I know someone
who does
He helps the drunks
The hoes
The pimps
The sick and
All you have to do
Is call on him
And he will answer you
In your time of need
But even then we still sin
Whether it is an act
Or thought we still sin
Some give into their temptations
While other succumb
To Greed
Lust
Wrath
Sloth
Envy
Gluttony
Pride
Which are the worst sins
The 7 deadly sins
So this brings me back
To my original question
What is the meaning of sin?
Now let me ask you another question
Are we destined for hell
For the sins of our forefathers?
Hmm
That's a tough one
One I don't have the answer for
But God does and only through
Him can we truly be
Free of sin.

A Dark Fantasy

I’m on a planet with a golden kiss
It shimmers with glory, such bliss!

As I zoom in, it turns into a dark land
Peep in, I’m afraid, I cannot stand!

In darkness, I see a bright glowing tower
Inside, a plethora of so called ‘man’ power

Zoom in; I see ‘beast’ kind disguised as ‘man’ kind
Alas! Not a single kind beast could I find

I hear roars of uncivilized beings
And moans of so-called weaklings

I see a trail of emotional turmoil
Those 7 deadly sins wrapped in a dazzling foil

Gifted to humanity, his power, his grey matter
It separates humans from animals and allows us to shatter

The once created planet with a golden kiss
Will it ever show the signs of holy bliss?

7 Deadly Sins

Being lazy
Getting hazy
Always crazy
Die from sloth
Getting fat
Being hungry
Seeing crack
Die from gluttony
Not complex
Having sex
Without latex
Die from lust
For thyself
Don't need help
No problem
Die from pride
So much anger
You're a banger
Do the math
Die from wrath
It's not enough
To want too much
Want everything
Die from greed
Jealousy
Will get you
Nowhere
Die from envy

The 7 Deadly Sins

I've tried to make a list
Of the seven deadly sins
Now pay very close attention
To where this list begins

The number one sin
Much worse than them all
Is never marry a woman
Til you meet your mother-in-law

The number two sin
Is almost just as bad
Never say, "Who's the father?"
When you become a dad

The number three sin
Is probably very well known
Never forget your magazine
When going to the throne

The number four sin
Unless you've hidden the bat
Never tell your wife
She might be getting fat

The number five sin
When it's time to watch the super bowl
Never let your chick flick wife
Get the remote control

The number six sin
And this one I'll repeat
Before you leave the bathroom
Put down the toliet seat

The number seven sin
Last but certainly not least
Never tell you wife
Your paycheck has increased

If you commit just one of these
Not only will you fail
But life is over as you know it
For she'll make your life pure well, ( you know )

7 Deadly Sins

gluttony, envy
greed,lust,anger,sloth
un-proudly~ guilty
