Contest Description
hello soupers!...according to "Poetry Handbook, A Dictionary of Terms," the triplet form is a three- line stanza based on the same rhyme.
example only:
Midnight streaks on tarnished door
To whisk love’s ruins... offshore,
Your coat hangs like old décor.
~for this creative exercise, please pen a NEW triplet using 7 syllables per line, ONE TRIPLET ONLY… some entries from my last contests did not make it due to lack or excess of word/ syllable count, not to mention simple rules that were overlooked…
~ categorize as verse… include contest name and date of poem…
~ make the contest name as your title…you can add a sub-title if you wish.
~ check www.howmanysyllables.com for accuracy… check grammar and spelling as well.
the photo below is your thematic concept… soar with this one though stay focused on overall content…
poetic appeal, distinct imagery, and flow of thought count a lot…
happy writing and huggs!
