ROLLING WITH THE Rs

 come and let the letter R inspire you, and then let your muse fly wherever it will take you...choose  ONE  of the themes and write a new, original poem about it: 1)  RHYTHMN OF A RIVER,  or 2) RIPPED RECOLLECTIONS, or 3)ROOM FOR RENT

the type of poetry to be used is the RICTAMETER...it is a nine-line poem where each line has a specific number  of syllables... the first line has two syllables... the next line has four, and so on, like so:
           2,4,6,8,10,8,6,4,2...

 THE FIRST AND LAST LINES HAVE THE SAME WORD... my own draft ; just an example:

Lamp post,

kindling night... inked,

captures shades of the park

depicting warmth among couples .

How restrained whispers etch their fondled arms

while misty breaths glow in rapture.

Moon casts destiny's spell

 glimmering through 

lamp post.
