Camping

Camping beneath the shimmering stars
Makes me realise how insignificant we really are

The moonlight gently caressing the world outside a canvas door
Such a beautiful, calm picture, I often find myself longing for

In the wilderness, back to nature
Far from the ever growing lights of the town
Away from the hussle and bussle, far from every thing that makes me frown

The peace, the tranquillity
Time to consider your own reality
Following the natural cycles of the earth
Some how reconnects you to your own self worth

Sleeping from dusk till dawn
Being woken by the birds morning song

Totally onboard with the camping concept. I get the same feelings every time I go to Utah and time travel through the bones of the earth. Nicely penned

You've described this so beautifully I'm longing to be out under the moon right now.. Following the natural cycles of the Earth really does reconnect you to your self worth.. It's very powerful. You've captured the wonder and healing power of nature perfectly.

Yes it is an incomparable feeling. It doesn’t make me feel insignificant though. It makes me think how amazing God is and how wonderful it is to be part of all He had created.
