Ode To a Traffic Light

Oh traffic light, oh traffic light
Why do you keep me waiting so.

Oh traffic light, oh traffic light
With your red light glaring and your ominous glow.

Oh traffic light, oh traffic light.
Do please hurry, I'm going to miss my show

Oh traffic light, oh traffic light
Time passes so slowly, as I await your green signal, to go.

Stephen, I could have written my version of this. Red lights see me coming. I had one that let only two cars go and got me. I see you paint too. I like to paint the faces of the American indians. enjoy reading your poems.

Glad it resonates with you. It was written a bit tongue in cheek and just a bit of fun.
