I Found a Friend Today

Though not looking
Though not seeking
I found a friend today

I did not know
I did not see
But together we're meant to be
I found a friend today

No Doubt in my mind
No question to ask
The feeling between us past
I found a friend today

Our meeting was not chance
Together we could see
We would help each other to be free
I found a friend today

No reason to fear
No reason to be scared 
Some one who would always care
I found a friend today

In life's ups and in life's downs 
I'm here for you and you're there for me
I found a friend today

Some friends come
Some friends go
But you and me, will always be
We became friends today

Friends are a twenty four hour lifeline where you are not put on hold beats a 9-5 shrink and friends are not beholding to drug companies. True friends will never forget you even if you do not see or speak to each other for years and conversation can be picked up where left off as if it was only yesterday.
