I've Learned To Love Again

I've had to learn to love you again
Though you caused me heart ache and pain

You put me through a whirlwind of emotion
But now I've witnessed my own evolution

There you stand in front of me now
I still love you, but in a different way some how

I no longer need you to love me as before
This is a new chapter, a path through a different door

A promise I made, I will always be your friend
Some one on who you can always depend

An unconditional love, a better way to be
Rather than holding on to bitterness, grief and misery.

A conscious poem - Letting go may preserve a love that you truly feel, and separation will allow you to grow... Lovely poem
