three limericks

a mosquito drank blood from a hippie
then he flew in circles saying yippie,
was amazed as he grooved,
but was dazed and confused,
now this mosquito lives in a tee-pee.
-----------------------------
there was a black cat named Spike,
laid in sunlight so quiet,
was fast as he fled,
but soon knocked his head,
now it's a liquid diet,

Ollie octopus lives in the sea,
eight tentacles, he thought he was free,
followed the currents jet,
tangled up in a net,
now served with garlic, olives and brie.

Premium Member DNC Chairman's Convention Song

‘Tis the season for a convention
      Fa-la-la-la-la la-la-la-la
    Fear and angst and apprehension
      Fa-la-la-la-la la-la-la-la

Will the protests turn to riots
      Fa-la-la-la-la la-la-la-la
How to keep those loonies quiet
      Fa-la-la-la-la la-la-la-la

    What if there’s an assassination
      Fa-la-la-la-la-la la-la-la
I hope it’s just my imagination
      Fa-la-la-la-la la-la-la-la

Maybe it’s something I just ate
      Fa-la-la-la-la la-la-la-la
But it sure feels just like ‘68!
      Fa-la-la-la-la la-la-la-la

    '68 = 1968 DNC that erupted into
what the media termed a 'police

    unkempt hippie and yippie pro-
    testors.

Premium Member Retirement

Hurray, I have retired -
That, one day, unrestrained, I will happily say,
so inspired.

When it's real,
Such gratitude for every day,
I'll feel.

Yippie!
Retired today!
Free!

Premium Member The Opposition's Stunned

The air is tense, all eyes are focused on the mound
The pitcher wipes his brow and looks away
The batter waves his stick, his mouth curls in a frown
The umpire waves his hands and yells, "Let's play!"

The ball released, it makes its way, first up, then down
The batter coils and swings; the opposition's stunned
Four runs score -- Home run!... Yippie-kie-ay! We won!

Nakatomi Truth

Sayonara,
the melanin haters love saying to us
With a foot stomp stomp,
and a wicked tone profane cuss:
“Good riddance to you,
ghetto cockroaches
400-years of your whiny fuss,
we done had enough”

In reply,
we annoying colored critters say:
“Yippie, yippie ka-yay!”

Oppression choosers,
colonial terrorist losers,
we don’t give a Hans Gruber
how you feel
It’s a thirty generation story fall —
We die hard,
but Nakatomi truth kills

Don’t try to mushroom sweep
our fungi pain under the spore rug
Hiroshima lies ...
Nagasaki cries ...
Internment hate you lip cancer love

We die hard,
but Nakatomi truth kills

Ain’t no Roy
coming to our rescue,
on a white horse Trigger

No worries, tho’ ...
We die hard,
but Nakatomi truth kills

Looks like that splat
on the ground
is only gonna get bigger

Sweeter than sweet words
Delicate in its own
Clear whiteness
It glides upon the air
Noiseless, yet ever fretful

Detective John McClane: Anyone up for a game of poker?

Dirty Harry: Feel lucky punk?

Detective John McClane: Yippie Ki-Yay mother******

Dirty Harry: Did you just call me a mother*****?

Hans Gruber: I am the only mother***** here.

Sigmund Freud: So tell me Hans, when did you first realize you had these feelings for your mother?

Detective John McClane: Siggy, Siggy, Hansy Boy is a second-rate East German terrorist with a lousy accent, he isn't some twisted, perverted freak.

Andrew "Squiggy" Squiggman (walking in the door): Hello!

Mad Hatter: You’re late.

Andrew "Squiggy" Squiggman: I was on a hot date.

Mad Hatter: You're also a liar.

Mr Kotter: Do you have a note from your mother Mr. Squiggman?

Arnold Horshack: Yes Mr. Squiggman, where for art thou note from thy mother?

Andrew "Squiggy" Squiggman: This is my note.

Mr. Kotter: That isn't a note. That's, that's...

30 Days

Thirty Days
(to the tune of Ki yi Bossie)

Yippie kai yai yay
They say you got to change who you run with
When you take the cure
Thirty days in and funny how clear
You can see what you couldn’t see before
Thought you broke my heart
But it was only a dent
Yippie kai yai yay
A little time was spent
And separate ways we went

Lemon kush made my vision 420
The room was so smoky
You looked pretty good
Two joints in and we got along fine
But then I took the cure
And now I’m doin fine

When I broke thirty days
I could see more clearly
Time for new friends and to send you on your way
Thirty days sober and I did the hokie pokie
Got a red chip halleleujah okie dokie
Making new friends at noon and six thirty
New associations that don’t make me crazy
Oh, by the way, don’t let the door hit you in the rear

Yippie kai yai yay
I’m happy joyous and free
Yippie kai yai yay
I'm happy joyous and free

The Bully

He’s so cute
I wonder if he saw me
Oh he did
He did
He wants me to be his girlfriend?
Yippie

But I’m new
I don't know hardly anyone
Maybe I should wait
Uh, sorry?

The name calling starts
Teacher’s pet
Dork Breath
Cheater
Smarty Pants

When will it end?
Please stop
You're hurting my feelings
But it continues on

No one stands up for me
Everyone just blows it off
Like it’s nothing
But it’s not nothing

It’s changing me
I can't sleep
I can’t eat
I don't want to go to school
And face the sixth grade anymore
I should've said yes
Just one little, three letter word

Can I drop out?
Oh, yeah
I can’t til I'm at least sixteen
With parental consent

It continues
Teacher’s pet
Dork Breath
Cheater
Smarty Pants

What to do
What to do
Dad, why am I so stupid?
What’s wrong with me?
Why can't he treat me like
Everyone else?

Relax, everything will be fine
Now…
He can't hurt you anymore

What would you do,
If you saw bullying?

Relaxation!!!

yippie + friday
thank you for the reminder
sometimes I don't stop
