DNC Chairman's Convention Song

‘Tis the season for a convention Fa-la-la-la-la la-la-la-la Fear and angst and apprehension Fa-la-la-la-la la-la-la-la Will the protests turn to riots Fa-la-la-la-la la-la-la-la How to keep those loonies quiet Fa-la-la-la-la la-la-la-la What if there’s an assassination Fa-la-la-la-la-la la-la-la I hope it’s just my imagination Fa-la-la-la-la la-la-la-la Maybe it’s something I just ate Fa-la-la-la-la la-la-la-la But it sure feels just like ‘68! Fa-la-la-la-la la-la-la-la ___________________________ DNC = Democratic Party National Convention, in Chicago this week '68 = 1968 DNC that erupted into what the media termed a 'police riot,' incited by hordes of uncouth, unkempt hippie and yippie pro- testors.

Other than the breach of one security fence, it looks as if the 'disrupters' have failed in their mission on the first night of the DNC. (It's now 9:45 p.m. in Chicago, after Hillary's remarkable speech).

I guess you finally have proved to me why there is a need for television. Seriously. I last owned a TV in 1977... although I do watch livestream on the internet sometimes now... ~ Mr. Cheater

So far, the first night has gone smoothly inside the Convention Hall, I see. And PBS has not shown one single moment of whatever is taking place outside. Interesting.
