Premium Member Wouldnt Do That If I Were You

I wouldn’t do that if I were you.
The woman ignored me,
not realizing that I speak "squirrel".
She had no idea when she threw that snowball
at the small, quiet, supposedly unassuming squirrel
an army of squirrels would be fighting back with snowballs from the trees

Why Wouldnt I Stay

My friend what days we had
No time to be troubled or sad
So strong together everyday
Why wouldn’t I stay

Hey friend they were glory days
So long ago now the memory stays
What days what can you say
Why wouldn’t I stay

Friend I remember you
In all the things through
Not a day was wasted I say
Why wouldn’t I stay.

Said I Wouldnt Fall

Said I wouldn’t fall
And yet here I am falling
I know I shouldn’t

An Ego That Wouldnt Relent

Once I walked with head held high,
Convinced I knew what life meant,
I held fast to all my beliefs,
With an ego that wouldn't relent.

But then came a moment,
That changed everything inside,
A realization struck me hard,
And with it, my old self died.

I saw the world in a new light,
One that I had never known,
And suddenly all that I believed,
Felt foreign and overblown.

I felt a shift in my heart,
As if it were breaking apart,
And in that moment of pain,
I knew a new start.

For though I'd lost my bearings,
And my ego was brought low,
I saw the world in a new way,
And my heart began to grow.

I learned to listen to others,
To accept their thoughts and fears,
And in that newfound empathy,
I found a way to truly care.

So though I may have lost my way,
And my heart was torn apart,
I found a new beginning,
With a change of heart.

maybe it comes easy for you
maybe it comes easy for you
well just maybe
it will come easy
don’t listen
he’s in back
 “spitting”
Is he
“grapes”
father the son
the grandfather
Godfather
beyond
think tree
the son moon Tuesday’s
son of guilt
think gun in sun

Wouldn’t it be Nice to live forever
David J Walker

Wouldn’t it be nice
           she said
To live forever
And never
           wake up dead
To live and breathe
          and feel loved

We are living forever
            he said
No she said
Seriously I mean
        Never Ever to die

Every day, he said, is another forever
A forever that will
	Never end
An eternity painted with prayers
Waiting to be answered

It’s a matter
           He said
of which days you choose
Which days to keep and
	Which days to lose

Part 2 Remember When You Said You Wouldnt

Remember when you said you wouldn’t lie to me?
Remember when you said you wouldn’t ever make me feel like I did not matter.
When you said that I would never have to write a negative poem about you?
When you said that I was your one and only and that we would stay together?
When you laid there next to me and told me I’m your baby and you love me?
And the time you sung that song to me; nearly cried to me; fought for me?
What happened to all those things that you said to me?
So we move to a different part of town; things have to change now?
I told you not to hurt me. Remember when you said you wouldn’t do that either?
Ha, well, you did. So how will you fix it?

Wouldnt You Like To Know

Nothing is real except for yourself.
Everything else is just created and placed around you, by you.
The things you cant control are what make you who you are.
