Courage comes in colors rare
at anytime and anywhere;
Some are called to stand up tall,
others will lift up those that fall.
Hope still feeds the seeds of grace
which bloom in the heart's barren space;
Point to point the breezes drift,
Bringing, at last, spirits to lift.
Storms will rage through the dark times
which break both bodies and the minds;
Strength will come to those reformed
and holding faith since they were born.
Wonderlands of youth explode
into blazes from days of old,
And as those days slide behind
the memories will be lost to time.
And then there comes a brand new light
which makes it through the dark of night;
Gathers up those insecure
for it be love so bold and pure.

Moments
Within wild windswept wonderlands
I take cautiously casual steps forward
Catching each moments brilliant breath
For every turn leads lazily down
A roughly laid radiant road.
Spectacular sumptuous scents
Beckon my beautiful binding inhale
Capturing exultant and powerful scenes
That lazily linger in well composed fields
As I quietly hum to the beautiful tune
That calmly disguises itself as a breeze,
And then I find my glances at gregarious greenery
Remarkably breathing colour
And my wide eyes take in the unimaginable.
Steps slowly usher to a stop
And to my minds eye I fall suspect
Toward lovely lingering life bestowed
Upon this magnificent magical moment
That is everything within my mind.

Oh, my Love! The throb and thrill of my life!
Why remain out of my reach like willow-the -wisp?
Why vanish quickly like an evanescent dream
Why fade out like a symphony sweet?
Won’t you come to me to ease my pain
To herald for me a dawn luminously bright
To transport me to wonderlands intangible
To be ever with me as my guardian angel
Hold my hand when I am about to fall
Help me set new goals when I am lost
Make me laugh when I am in gloom’s hold
Infuse courage when I develop cold feet
Show me dew drops that I can see diamonds
Gift me a rose that in me a thousand blooms burst open
Feed me with home fare that I may taste Ambrosia
Thaw my grief laden heart and give me cheer
Look to my face and see love gleaming in my eyes
I will deem so lucky if you choose to be my Valentine

Yesterday,
the rustic multicolored foliage was scattered about the ground; basting and glistening beneath the tamed fall sun, taking their rest.
The long days of summer had been harsh on them. For they had entered it, green and lavish; Chorographically dangling from the branches of enormous oaks and maples...and birches, too, perhaps.
But time and temperature had tapered them.
Today, they are motionless.
Dismantled from the spotlight of summer's stage. The ground is cool.
Soon, comes their burial blanket.
And above, jubilant souls shall shuffle about, oblivious of the dancers stilled beneath them, from which their winter wonderlands
were conceived.

I want to take a walk by the beach,
Listen to the sound of the roaring waters,
I'd love to take a seat by the palm trees,
Listen to the symphony from
the evening orchestra band,
I'd love to sit in a park,
Surrounded by nature's beauties,
In awe of its craft and design,
Listen to the sweet songs from the hummingbirds,
Harness my creative prowess,
I want to sit on the porch,
Drowned in the view of the sun's set,
I want to go on a safari,
Watch the animals uncaged and unrestrained,
I’d love to go on an adventure,
Climb mountains and hills,
Listen to the sound of music from waterfalls,
Stroll across a rope bridge,
Go on a walk through caves,
Frightened and thrilled by my encounters,
I want to have a view of other cultures,
See the world beyond where I'm constrained,
There are so many places I'd love to go,
There are so many beautiful places I'd love to see,
Paradise on earth,
Wonders on earth's landscape,
I’m of hope that fortune will smile my way,
Take me on a trip to these wonderlands.

Month two arrived- cold February's here;
we've slipped into extended wintertime-
more oft than not, with snow and ice adhere.
These days in February grant sublime,
true winter wonderlands- our gifts to see-
in hills and valleys, swirled in white displays.
With skating, skiing, sledding- wild and free-
we celebrate this February phase-
or choose to rest- stay warm indoors, and so
spend cozy times with family and friends.
Behind our window panes, or deep in snow-
the winter peace of white, our joy, attends.
As February leaves- it sets the stage
for March- with spring rebirthing to engage.

Centered around ephemeral shapes,
Now—shapeless now—flailing—
Yellows, blues, oranges and reds,
Heat eating what surrounds it till it Can no more—eyes—in the fire. . .
The way life moves toward danger,
And eyes watch closely,
Growing and slackening,
Distant singing and laughter. . .
The fires that hear stories of the ancient ways,
Tarrying through the tales,
The coldness of the wild behind their backs,
Smoke reaching toward starlit wonderlands. . .
I hear resilience in the horror—
And in the unison of kinship,
Bodies moving closer to one another,
As the eyes at last close against the coals

Note: I wanted to play with a little fire today.
I wanted to write "Smoke reaching toward starlit wonderlands" but didn't feel I had room... however, I wanted to make it clear that the smoke hasn't made it there to that starlit wonderland...just like we reach toward the stars but don't quite get there sometimes. I hope that makes an ounce of sense, and I don't know why that makes me emotional and that it's so important to me, but I felt the need to share...
Anyway, sending love to all and extra warmth today, wherever you may be.
Love, Laura

Dry
Cold snap
Brings the snow,
Clouds break open
Releasing snowflakes,
Like cabbage butterflies
Who flutter on summer days
Natures artwork now completed,
Sky has now cleared as clouds drift away
Landscapes have become winter wonderlands

Passionate adventurers rise above the April morning shower,
eagerly anticipating wonderlands of mythical folklore,
yearning for enchantment they wallow in the scent of every flower,
guardian angel radiance a master key with bounty at its core.

Passionate adventurers rise above the April morning shower,
eagerly anticipating wonderlands of mythical folklore,
yearning for enchantment
they wallow in the scent of every flower,
guardian angel radiance a master key with bounty at its core,
navigator’s instinct moulded by a latent angel tower,
stellar minds on song as they mine the golden metal seams of yore

Hollow old oak tree,
Ancient sentinel of old;
Shelter from the rage,
Of sun, wind; the elements.
Yet, you still offer your gifts.
Ancient sage of old
I sit beneath you on a
windy day hearing
your whispers; the stories you
tell take me to wonderlands.

Silent giants oxygen machines
The lungs of mother nature
Wilderness wonderlands
Coppice, copse, or just a stand
Thicket, timberland
Parks for playing hide and seek
Natures vast expanse
A land of plants and trees galore
A place of peace and quiet
Not a place for corporate greed
Poisoned water, acid rain
Tarmac covered over coat
Air pollution, choking smoke
Brought to you by business folk
Politian’s cry false tears
And pledge to save the sacred trees
Spending money made of paper
How ironic
Save the trees
