Be My Valentine

Oh, my Love! The throb and thrill of my life! Why remain out of my reach like willow-the -wisp? Why vanish quickly like an evanescent dream Why fade out like a symphony sweet? Won’t you come to me to ease my pain To herald for me a dawn luminously bright To transport me to wonderlands intangible To be ever with me as my guardian angel Hold my hand when I am about to fall Help me set new goals when I am lost Make me laugh when I am in gloom’s hold Infuse courage when I develop cold feet Show me dew drops that I can see diamonds Gift me a rose that in me a thousand blooms burst open Feed me with home fare that I may taste Ambrosia Thaw my grief laden heart and give me cheer Look to my face and see love gleaming in my eyes I will deem so lucky if you choose to be my Valentine Dec.22.2022 ~ Placed Third~ Valentine Gift Card Creation Poetry Contest Sponsor- Bobby May

Valsa, you have crafted a love story with such a lilting tune that few listeners can remain emotionally detached. That tender poem of yours. This gem would make a lovely postcard. Your compassionate demeanor is something I've come to respect and like.
