Wondered Poems

Veracity

I have often wondered if they blundered
or if there's any truth to the advertising
within the words written on me
a simple clothing label advising
a promise a guarantee
100% Cotton
but does it refer to the garment or myself
the mere material it is printed on
a paradox perhaps
all of which goes to show
it's a dilemma the answer to which
this enquiring mind needs to know

if you wondered

If you wondered if my feelings are real
You need to hear my heart pounding beat
Racing like a speeding fleet
Straight to the amplifier of my heart
The loudness and throbbing ring
Completes my wants and desires within
Longing for your kiss, your touch
Bringing us closer to Neverland
As the sky touches the stars
No matter how far

Premium Memberwhat about pink we wondered

Everything was pink for Zee when she was a child
Hot pink, light pink, medium pink, nothing blah or mild
Pink bed, pink pillow, pink closet, pink clothes, pink doll
If it was not pink, Zee simply did not want it at all

Imagine our shock when she joined the military at eighteen
Our princess was now a soldier, which was quite unforeseen.
She trained to be all black and white, there was no pink or gray.
We watched her boot camp video, laughing our guts away.

Zee got a corporate job, and rose straight to the top.
Her career was the best, it seemed her success would never stop.
What about pink? We wondered. Where is the pink now?
In her corporate washroom we found a pink toilet, it was a wow.

Not only pink, but shaped like an enormous kitty too.
You cannot leave yet we’d say; you have to use the loo.
Our daughter would roll her eyes, thinking we were crazy.
But we all wanted to see the toilet, designed by our Zee.

Premium MemberI wondered through the woods

I wandered through the woodlands green
And heard the birdsong fill the air
I saw the little streams serene
With speckled trout that darted there

I felt the breeze upon my face
And smelled the fragrance of the flowers
I marveled at the natural grace
And wished to linger for some hours

But then I heard a distant bell
That called me back to toil and strife.
I bade the woodlands a farewell.
And turned to face the road of life.

Have You Ever Wondered

Have you ever wondered how many people ,
Are walking in the street,
Looking to do harm,
And if your acknowledgement of them in passing,
Could give them second thoughts.

Premium MemberI Wandered and I Wondered

I wandered and I wondered,
About all the pieces of my life
That came together in a puzzle,
Causing so much strife
The struggle, loss, pain and betrayal at hand
Feeling at times, sinking in deep quicksand
Those many times my heart broken like a mirror,
I could see the many flaws that remain in me

I wandered and I wondered,
About all my days of joy
A playful life of inspiration
Like a child with a toy
Laughter freeing the spirit, as if nothing is wrong
Dancing with a smile, to every song
The many times my heart healed, ready to fly
Releasing all the burdens of asking some things why?

I wandered and I wondered,
About my destiny
So many paths I’ve taken
And still there’s so much to see
Impressions and visions, imagination on fire
Burning and yearning with inner desire
Then, the many times, my heart wanted you
Sending messages in the wind, in a dream, we flew
To pristine places, hand in hand
Where no-one has ever been, but you understand

you won't see me scream
you won't see me angry
i won't stomp my feet
i won't raise my voice

just because there's no drama
don't think everything's ok

stick around
you haven't seen
my fifty shades of grey

when i'm disappointed or unimpressed
i can run the whole gamut
in every shade and every hue

if i was happy
you would know
if things were ok
you would know

just because there's no drama
don't think everything's ok

Premium MemberI Have Wondered

I have wondered whether birds of different species converse.
Do they hold contests to see who can fly fastest and highest?
Are trees standing side by side for decades communicating?
Do the aquarium fishes discuss “those” folk outside the glass?
Is it possible a rose withdraws slightly to keep us from picking?
When wood borers stop in midair to stare, are they wondering?
Consider the process: does the same rain fall more than once?
Do animals in the zoo realize they are not free to roam about?
I wonder why some people think they are superior to others.

When I Wondered Why

Dawn dawned, showed her gold
And avian band unfolded,
My sleep lost her hold

And I wondered why
Such splendid jewel should turn jade
And in day's lap die!

Premium MemberHow Many Times Have You Wondered

How many times have you wondered
Why the poor are so many, the rich are so few?
Why children laugh at inconsequential things?
While older folks are forever forgetting
What it is they're trying to do?
How many times have you wondered
Why you don't make more money for the work you do?
Why we fret at being confined for a week --
Are animals really happy living in a zoo?
How many times have you wondered
Why it is slower going and faster returning home?
Why there's little to do when what's finished is done.
How in the world do honeybees make a comb?
How many times have you wondered
Why today's youngsters play their music so loud?
Why the only parking spot available is always too short?
And, why is it just simpler to follow the crowd?

As I lie here often I wonder wander
Often in my sleep I toss and tumble wandering

I pondered the direction of my life
I turn away for hurt harms and strife
Repenting of my sins
Throwing them deep within the ocean

And now I Rise
Covered in Grace so forgiving
And now inside my heart's beating
Now I'm truly, truly living
In earnest plea
My God my Savior has forgiven me

All my sins I have been relieved
I pondered my direction of my life
And I turned and followed your ways
Today
Heavenly Father I pondered my life
My direction and I turn from my evil ways
And now today
I come to you this way
Turn myself around
Now I'm having
All of this because I wondered wandered
I pondered
Those the direction of my life and I
Turned to follow your laws
My Lord, my God thank you Father from above Hallelujah

I Wondered Why

When he died, no one told me,
why would they, I had not seen him in years?
Yet that day, he kept walking in and out
of my mind’s eye.
I wondered why?

“The world ends at 5 O’clock.,"
his voice rang in my ears.
Two tortured Nostradamus parables
fluttered-by like migrating Hooper Cranes.

I recall looking at my watch, and seeing only
the sun turning around a scarab beetle.
I remember asking a running man
how he was timing his race? The runner was
too busy counting to answer.

His words scurried through my head
like white mice. I wondered why?
Then I thought of the nursery rhyme,
and the farmer’s wife and her carving knife;
the blind mice running.

My stone house was ticking like a Mayan calendar.
My chair rocking back and forth like a metronome.

That evening he left my mind empty
even his face was just a clock
in a Salvador Dali painting.

Of course, I never knew he was dead,
I just heard what he said -
and I wondered why?

Ever Wondered If You Could Pour Your Tea With Your Feet

not me
keep my change in a hole in my pocket
giving gravity a hand
formed a one person band
pulled at every push
never in a ruuuuuuuu
shhhhhhhhhhhh can you see that echo
flicking at ever freckle
are you talking for us again
you have been told about that
sorry hes really out there
can i help you
no its my turn
let me tell them
What were we talking about
now is that about or a bout
turned reality inside out
but were all trapped within
Hatter that's a family name
but my father was a butcher
baker
candle sick
taker
under
won og ot deen i
