Knew of this fellow named Wilber
His body parts were a little off kilter
Whenever he laughed
Flames shot out his ass
Carried around his own fire extinguisher

Premium MemberTry To Succeed

It’s not enough to be capable;
you have to be willing to try.

This simple idea got Neil to the moon
and helped Orville and Wilber to fly.

They worked and they toiled and they never gave up,
even though they occasionally failed…

They stayed on their feet and kept thinking it through,
even when things broke down and derailed.

So that is the rule, it is simple as that,
It’s just about all that you need;

no matter what it is that you think you can do,
you first have to try to succeed.

Premium MemberOld Dead Poets

I admire great poets old,
perusing the tragic ends.
Researching their writing styles and patterns
their layouts, rhyming, punctuation, moods,
in dark solitude they penned dreadful words.
Many, end by suicide,
others of drug addiction.
John Berryman threw himself off a bridge,
Weldon Kees, disappeared into nowhere,
Rupert Brooke, he died at twenty-seven.
Some living a good long life,
with a death due to old age.
Merwin had a childhood full of sadness,
but he found his Zen in nature writing,
he explained his style as an open form.
Abraham Klein, a recluse
he lapsed into a silence.
Called, one of Canada's greatest writers,
here is one that published at eight years,
Wilber, he lasted to ninety-six and wrote.
I admire great poets old,
perusing the tragic ends.

Ode To a Rat

"Life is more than just a smorgasbord,
my main focus is what is the next thing I put in my mouth and how my belly is hanging way down south, and then after my belly is full then where will I take my next snooze.
As long as I have a blanket on the bed and a roof over my head I consider myself blessed.
Sometimes I put off my list of to do's. I love to procastinate, save my to do's for another day.
But since I saw a certain spider save a spring pig from certain slaughter,
I became happy to help even in some small way.
When a piglet asked this spider why she was helping him the spider replied, 'because you called me friend.'
Then she proceeded to spin her silken miracles until she could spin no more.
She took everything that she had been given and put all her heart into her labor.
Then she gave birth to her babies and with her last breath told me to take the egg sacs to live with Wilber perhaps all of their days, even though when they had been born many did fly away on the wind that did come their way.
'Good bye, Good bye,' they said in voices as sweet as the sweetest honey."

Premium MemberChancy Branches

Those two naughty chimps, Wilber and Clancy
Liked to watch girls, (Jill, Mary and Nancy)
They climbed up much higher
Much better to spy there!
The branch was too brittle......so were their antics!!

They thought this new plan was hilarious
Instead it was mighty precarious
A loud cracking sound
Then SMACK on the ground!
They landed, embarrassed, where Mary was !!

Are You Farmville Addicted?

Many so love Facebook, both day and night
All are raging with farmville delight
Each one of it's addicted clan
Play in their own time span.

Scads of requests sent
Of the poor starving animals bent
Grace has a castle, out she's thrown
If only in time Wilber would'a known.

Bradley's having a barn raising
Raymond's sharing left over bricks
Annie's got a lovely garden
Alisha's cow does tricks.

The fun of the games
Life on the Internet just ain't same
Since facebook has made
The new farmville upgrade.

So if your want'n friends
It's best to give a gift, not to lend
Of the many things to share
Toss out a nail or two to one who cares.
