Ode To a Rat

"Life is more than just a smorgasbord, my main focus is what is the next thing I put in my mouth and how my belly is hanging way down south, and then after my belly is full then where will I take my next snooze. As long as I have a blanket on the bed and a roof over my head I consider myself blessed. Sometimes I put off my list of to do's. I love to procastinate, save my to do's for another day. But since I saw a certain spider save a spring pig from certain slaughter, I became happy to help even in some small way. When a piglet asked this spider why she was helping him the spider replied, 'because you called me friend.' Then she proceeded to spin her silken miracles until she could spin no more. She took everything that she had been given and put all her heart into her labor. Then she gave birth to her babies and with her last breath told me to take the egg sacs to live with Wilber perhaps all of their days, even though when they had been born many did fly away on the wind that did come their way. 'Good bye, Good bye,' they said in voices as sweet as the sweetest honey."
