Let's hear it for the black man with his beautiful brown skin
His struggle don't show.Oh, the way that melanated skin glows
Vanilla caramel latte toffee deep dark brown chocolate, cinnamon coffee
So strong and powerful brute and brave
Born to be royalty Never a slave
Let's hear it for the black man.Others don't know no better
Built to perfection down to the letter
It's just something about them that can't be missed
There's power in their knowledge, not only their fists
Let's hear it for the black man. They've been through a lot
Making mountains out of molehills Building mansions from a cot
Lifting up his queen always there for protection
Flawless, in my eyes, there's no need for discussion
Reppin his set
Raised out of violence
Beaten and abuse yet his voice can't be silenced
He's a powerful force and he evokes fear
Without the black man, Noone would be here
Let's hear it for the black man cause he can't be broken
Straight out the projects or very well spoken
Resilienceny can't be missed
And when he realizes his potential
Mannnnn, let's hear it for the black man

...Well-spoken liars in a suit,
lawyers look like saints next to them,
the only constant that we know
is they will lie to us again.
Betrayed the trust we placed in them
to make propaganda and swill,
reporters are a plague on man,
so yes, treat these scumbags like filth.

I was going on a blind date, hoping it would be fate. I heard him before I saw him,I wasn’t sure what it was he said but it meant a lot to me.
Just to hear his voice made him seem so hot to me. Dark manly voice and well spoken, surely my heart would not end up broken?
He was suddenly right in front of the restarant table, surely he would be able to give me something ore than just his voice to go on pretty soon. Maby we would end up in a distant future in our honey moon. He startet to speak again and then I did not recognice his voice!
It must have been some other person in the resturant that made me fell in love with only ther voice? Well, the date went grate, must have beenfate. We soon married and had a child.
My husband had a friend come over one day we were going out to eat. That's when I felt defeat, I suddenly heard that voice again!
It was my husands best friend who came to babysit for us. Ohhh, the irony that he still gave me shaking in my knees and butterflies in my belly. Oh god, I wish I had not turned aroud to see that his best friend was just a dark voiced woman! That was the weirdest thing ever, I asure I did not feel rather clever...

We Live In The Future
By David N. Donihue
You want me more drunk than I’m willing
More bothered than is me
Throwing punches at preachers
post-Xanax spree
Yet we live in the future
Where peasants turn king
The voices of zeros
Heard by millions with ease
We live in the future
No one watches tv
Our outer reflects our inners
So all poets now rock bling
You might catch us all broken
Yet we are not what you see
Unlike the well-spoken villains
Who once ruled the blue-lined sheets
We live in the future
Where only hearts beat machines
Our spirits colliding
into dreams we’ve never seen
We dance in the wake of depression forgotten
Shun brokers of shame
Blockades to our peace
Our words are still valid,
Even when joyous and sweet
We live in the future
Where only hearts beat machines
So please rest assured
All poets now rock bling

To the people of Georgia –
You have one more chance
To make your vote count
And not looked at askance.
The opponents, as different
As two men can be,
Want to serve in the Senate,
But each nominee
Has some assets and flaws
So you have to decide
Who will serve you the best
And is most qualified.
There’s a football star with no
Political sense
Who believes that his actions
Have no consequence.
There is also a pastor,
Well-spoken, who fights
To ensure his constituents
Have equal rights.
Though it seems a no-brainer,
The voters are split
But I urge all in Georgia
To think and commit
To the candidate who
Will continue to strive
To keep hope in our country
And freedom alive.

Listen! Do you hear lost voices of reason?
They are distinct sounds dimly perceived,
Mingling among a cacophony of mindless
Ideas and thinly disguised platitudes.
Some are out-and-out misrepresentations
Sounding like virtuous words well-spoken,
But are a phony patter passing for truth.
Who can tell what is truth ‘midst clamor?

Well- spoken people are
widely admired and they
win the hearts of people.
Wise and worthy deserve
wealth and fame in their lives.
Witty make other's life
wonderful with wisecracks.

My favorite President is Barack Obama
the 44th US President . . .
the first African-American elected
he always stood strong and diplomatic
with his beautiful wife Michelle Obama
at his side . . .
he is a lawyer, an author, a politician
always well spoken, kind and gentle
loved all over the world . . .
as president he inherited recession and two war
"I am not opposed to war, I'm opposed to dumb wars"
one thing I remember most of all he accomplished
is the death of bin Laden . . .
he knew how to flex his presidential power when needed
his two terms were an inspiration -
"I will guarantee you, we will move this country forward"
and still I love to hear him speak . . .
in that powerful, strong pleasant voice

The ill woman who lies in the wheelchair
was well-spoken, happy, generous, elegant, and fair
and she lived a life of exuberant riches;
now in poor health, she's at the mercy of others.
Her frizzled mind recreates past images in photographs
of adored faces, she posted them among her artifacts;
why did they abandon her to a detrimental state?
Didn't her full hands offer generosity and not shake?
Caroline was a nurse and took care of wounded soldiers,
often her white uniform was stained with blood,
nothing scared her, she continued to save lives;
won't anyone honor her now, not when she's under the sod?

A pale man lay in an old peoples' home,
And told his story to a nurse's aid.
From time to time his mind did seem to roam -
She was understanding and so she stayed.
He told of the gifts that he was given -
He was handsome and strong and well spoken
And ambitious enough to be driven.
Unlikely that his heart could be broken.
Things came easy , even the wedding bell.
He worshiped her more than any man should.
Then one day she dropped her ring in the well,
And left with a man as only she could.
"Ah," said he. "It was my last easy day."
"It was the last one," was all he could say.

Though I may be well-spoken,
And I may be well-read,
And I may be well-dressed,
Because I may be well-bred,
I may have good intentions,
And I may be well-loved,
And I may be well-off,
And be well-thought-of,
But until living for Jesus
Has become my life’s goal
I'll never know in my heart
That all's well with my soul

Google understands
Me
You
may not, but Google does
So does Alexa
If I had another daughter
I would name her Alexa
What I imagine Alexa to look like...
brown hair, olive skin, glasses,
5"5', petite, green eyes, casually
dressed in khaki's, polite, and well-spoken
But, what are the voice commands?
"I love you like a love song baby"
The singer is in Hawaii in her bathing suit
Selena Gomez- "Wolves"
My deceased grandmother's name was Lupe
It means wolves

A day laborer was he
His diet, stale bread
and weak tea
Hadn't much to say
for he wasn't well-spoken
Never took a break
'til he was already broken
