Let's hear it for the black man

Let's hear it for the black man with his beautiful brown skin His struggle don't show.Oh, the way that melanated skin glows Vanilla caramel latte toffee deep dark brown chocolate, cinnamon coffee So strong and powerful brute and brave Born to be royalty Never a slave Let's hear it for the black man.Others don't know no better Built to perfection down to the letter It's just something about them that can't be missed There's power in their knowledge, not only their fists Let's hear it for the black man. They've been through a lot Making mountains out of molehills Building mansions from a cot Lifting up his queen always there for protection Flawless, in my eyes, there's no need for discussion Reppin his set Raised out of violence Beaten and abuse yet his voice can't be silenced He's a powerful force and he evokes fear Without the black man, Noone would be here Let's hear it for the black man cause he can't be broken Straight out the projects or very well spoken Resilienceny can't be missed And when he realizes his potential Mannnnn, let's hear it for the black man
