Barack Obama

My favorite President is Barack Obama the 44th US President . . . the first African-American elected he always stood strong and diplomatic with his beautiful wife Michelle Obama at his side . . . he is a lawyer, an author, a politician always well spoken, kind and gentle loved all over the world . . . as president he inherited recession and two war "I am not opposed to war, I'm opposed to dumb wars" one thing I remember most of all he accomplished is the death of bin Laden . . . he knew how to flex his presidential power when needed his two terms were an inspiration - "I will guarantee you, we will move this country forward" and still I love to hear him speak . . . in that powerful, strong pleasant voice _______________________ January 10, 2021 Poetry/Free Verse/Barack Obama Copyright Protected, ID 01-1319-969-10 All Rights Reserved, 2021, Constance La France Written for the Premier contest, YOUR FAVORITE PRESIDENT (President's Day Project) sponsor, L MILTON HANKINS. Constance, beautifully written tribute to our 44th president. The thing I loved about him most was his oratory and how he used it to paint pictures with words in a voice of confident, humble leadership. Being our first African-American president went a long way to healing the chasms that plague us still. Well done, and hearty congrats ~ John

He sang a great Amazing Grace. He might not have been there physically but you can still feel his presence every time you see a picture of him. Obama Poetry Conytest musyt have been some contest. I am so busy writing poems that I do not have time for contests. Have written over 8,000 already.

Amazing tribute, Constance:-) At the risk of sounding hyperbolic, Barack Obama, to me, is the closest we'll ever get to Rev Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. in terms of character and articulation. And just like King, Obama has a great voice.

Hi BW, What a well-written tribute poem in honor of my favorite President, Barack Obama. He was a down to earth and charismatic. He was such an eloquent speaker; all that heard him was in awe of his voice. He did a lot for this country in his two terms. I could go on and about him, but I will end now. He also wrote off billions of dollars in Native American trust funds not paid to the tribes because they "were lost" in the BIA accounting system and it would "cost too much" to audit the accounts! Aloha! Rico
