Lost Voices of Reason

Listen! Do you hear lost voices of reason?
They are distinct sounds dimly perceived,
Mingling among a cacophony of mindless
Ideas and thinly disguised platitudes.
Some are out-and-out misrepresentations
Sounding like virtuous words well-spoken,
But are a phony patter passing for truth.
Who can tell what is truth ‘midst clamor?

We are called to pray for discernment. Sadly there is not enough praying going on.
