The Entrepreneur

A recent share on a post, that is so relevant to poets writing in a world seeped in instant self gratification.

Title.

The Entrepreneur

(A lone voice whispers)

We do what we do, because we are old school

Inspired by the likes of visionaries such as, Michelangelo or, Vincent van Gogh

For in a modern world driven to seek immediate validation, and the trappings of success

We may be becoming a rare breed

For deep down, we know this unconditionally
Unconsciously

We are a work in progress

We who do the hard work constantly, through patience, and resilience

We know we will eventually see the journey has been worth it

As we are blessed

When the world eventually sees or embraces our portfolios

For that immense need driven by relentless consistency, patience, and resilience

Will eventually knock on a certain door to be opened by us

Marked

"For the brave
Who conquered the Lands of Broken Dreams filled with Regrets"

Mountain View

With the ascended smoke
the sky was gloomy
Darkened times
creeping up
stealing the era
Killing the resolve
rhyming another song
Playing discordant tunes
ragging the future of the now
saddled with a tinted view
The vision becomes blurry
as the visionaries
became soulless hordes
taking chunks of yesterday
From the hopes of today

A Visionary's Vitality

Verily do I separate myself from her celestial face; seems thorough that symbolically setting the tune
For a ceremony of God's grace
Acting only by reacting to what's enate
As if I've been lifted skyward to God's plate
To rule over all that God's created
With a kiss from her lips
She seduces all man's passions
No should I miss your warming embrace
I've subdued my passions
A visionaries vitality

Scripture

Your ‘calling’ strings you out
into a gospel
of all that you were and are.

A written scripture scrolls on.
You are a witness. The poet that watches,
the one who shows up late in your own story,
diverse scribes feed you shape-shifting words
from the collective works of
other visionaries.

Every image has its alter-image.
This gospel of ‘you’
can gossip over a trivial landscape,
yet all is elemental and intrinsic
to an all-inclusive manifesto.

These secret teachings are parables,
allegory and metaphor,
revelations discovered by few or many.

Word of mouth becomes a testament
one woven by a history
of observers and spectators,

they scribble down both the immaterial
and the substance of reflections,
then hammer them into flowing water
where all poetry is enshrined.

Ancient guardian of the sacred essence,
You wander through the taciturn void of slumbering souls
Where the shadow of truth gravely trickles into hieroglyphs,
An affection imprinted,
Upon the white colossi, cloaked in moss, who once
Reflected in faith lofty secrets,
The signatures of visionaries of yore
Howl an ode to knowledge,
Then beg, like an elixir, the heart of endless vigil
To chant a resurrection,
A living codex of verbs deeply carved into existence
To break free from the frame of a retouched chrysalis
With perilous oaths to tear the veil of stagnation,
To rekindle the polar flame of evergreen truth
In leaps unfolding from sidereal numbness
Illumination pleads for a reborn symphony
Truth with fresh breath –
That antagonizes a caravan of unforeseen revelations
That sows new causes for renewed deeds
In the sanctuary of the heart that waits with open embrace.

Spring Has Come

Spring has come, dear friends
It's time to shed the winter blues
The sun is warm, the breeze is light
The world is being born anew
Renew your faith, renew your mind
Let go of all that holds you back
Embrace the beauty, joy you'll find
In each day that you unpack

We're going in, deeper still
Than we've ever gone before
March until the walls tremble
And tumble down like never before
This season, we won't be stopped
By all the things that weigh us down
Our old ways, they have to be re-mapped
As we listen to the wind's sound

We'll march, shout, and dance with glee
Around our Jericho so tall
Until the walls fall down, we'll see
What once seemed invincible and all
Bitterness, rejection, and poverty
Will crumble at our feet
As we stir up what's overlooked silently
And what's hidden from the rest

We'll activate kingdom strategies
And tear down invisible walls
Build up, plant, and restore the visionaries
According to His riches - abundance for all
So let this Spring be the season to conquer
Where we renew all mandates possible
As we let go of all the reason to fear
And live on faith unshakeable.

Watching From Above

Watching from above, the world looks small
But the pain and the suffering, can be felt by all
In Ukraine and beyond, wars rage on
And innocent lives are forever gone

Stop the senseless violence and bloodshed
This war has left too many dead
The cost of war, we cannot measure
A world in chaos, that we cannot treasure

This war's reach has gone too far
Beyond two nations, a global scar
All nations must make a choice
To listen to reason or drown in noise

Watching from above, I see a better tomorrow
If we hold on to hope, and banish all sorrow.
We need visionaries, not just leaders
Who can stop this war, be peace-seekers

The future lies in the next generation’s hand
It’s plain to see this generation has faltered
The direction of the country is theirs to command
To change direction, and to fix what we altered.
It won’t be an easy task, requiring bold leadership,
To correct the course of a floundering ship of state,
It will take much more than some tweaks or a blip,
With more youthful energy than we’ve seen of late.

The future lies in the hands of the brave and bold
Visionaries with determination and a will to succeed
Who have the pluck and the stamina never to fold,
Loving democratic values and knowing what we need.
I believe the next generation will reach for the gold
Restoring our faith in America; on this, I am sold.

Premium Member Not Always a Fan

I’m not always a fan of poetry - if I actually take time to ponder it
- it can be so irritatingly rhymey, kind of fussy and needlessly intricate.

Compare my love to a summer’s day and I’ll probably yawn and walk away.

Take a nuanced look at the transactions of sex and consent,
and as adults, we may wonder where the romance went.

You know, it only happens once in a while,
that someone with wit and individual style
comes along with something to say
and scribbles it down in a poem or play.

Here’s to the creative visionaries,
to Dickinson's unique and dreamy imagery,
to Shakespear’s highly stylized, run-on sentences
that manage to speak to us over the centuries
or challenge our stifled, bourgeoisie banality
like Nabokov’s use of stunning vocabulary.

The Forbidden Metaverses

Questions that can't be Answered
vs Answers that can't be Questioned.
It is not up to you to choose.
Which side of self is the
darkside of the room?
PRC-13, Theta Bravo.
Ideas Satellite-, a skull shaped moon.

Light, is it beaming?
Do you choose for yourself, sensitivity.
Scheming.
Relativity.
Double dealing.
Do you choose them, to live your
conscience for you?

Over sunsets cover, lies are lies,
but all one truth.
Starblind.
Starstruck.
Eyes are eyes, but the World sees better than you.
Especially we, visionaries-true.
Here is our wisdom.
Do not pre-judge "the lost",
they deserve a future-with our protections too.
Although,
it would be interesting to know,
"how does silence come by you?"
Is it the relaxing, kind?
Peaceful, isn't it.
A one way transmission is how
refection can work, like a mirror, image,
of the Beast, in you.

As for the suggestion box contributors, YELPing.
We do not need programming suggestions.
You need ours in double helping.
Just sit down and STFU.

You are now a Terrorist,
held for questioning.

Involve yourself in the practice of fine ethics by being positive.
Negotiate as you can, but never be quiet for a tacit thrive.
Visionaries start with a blank page and infuse their future.
Originality sets the gap between a challenger and the leader.
Life you desired takes the path of your hopes and endeavors.
Vibrancy is your level of inspiration on how you desire to live.
Energy supply, when fully loaded, can restore the body itself.

Mistakes are humans made; even success is slow, proceed to trial.
Each time you decide would induce you stronger and self-assured.

Ailments evoke you to weep, not because you are weakling.
Nuisance is continuously compounded with graciousness.
Discontent is to be expected, just as mental anguish is.

Issues are again critical than types of activities.

Loss of someone prompts me to focus on how vital he was.
Evaluating people who are close to us is not a safe habit.
And being free of sorrow, you must bear the blame for it.
Reflective belief is complex, but it is helpful for a clean soul.
Never earn a mistake is the same as never doing something.

Premium Member The Vaccine Is Coming

The vaccine is coming.
We wait
feeling the angst of the abandoned
searching the horizon
for the tip of a sail
a glimpse at a rescue.

We wait.
Each one silently shouting:
"PICK ME!" "PICK ME!"
Stoically acknowledging
those chosen before us.
Flashbacks of being the last one chosen
for a schoolyard game haunt us,
virtue shaming us to the back of the line.

We wait
as the shore drifts farther away
our grip on the float weakens
our hope lies becalmed
in the idle rhetoric
of blind vitriolic visionaries.

We wait
Hats in hand, heads down
woefully whispering:
"Please sir, may I have some more?"
