Good For Nothing

Being proud of yourself isn’t enough,
When your loved ones don’t think so.
Thinking you’re tough and strong,
Yet you can’t handle the pain you know.

Every time life starts getting rough,
You bury yourself deep and low.
I try to do things right each time,
But feel handcuffed by winds that blow.

It’s freezing out here, and I’ve nowhere to go,

Oh moon, how lucky you are to make poets your biggest admirers!
How they are so hungry to tell you how worthy you are
To be reminded time and again that you are loved
Someone, somewhere, everyday describing how beautiful you are

Digital Disconnect

The living room,
Laughter clinging like a warm embrace,
Yet silence wraps us in a shroud.
Faces aglow from screens,
Eyes reflecting curated lives,
Fingers dancing over glass,
As warmth slips through our grasp.

We scroll, searching for connection,
Moments polished and perfect.
But intimacy dims,
Lost in the sterile glow of notifications,
?Voices mere echoes,
Fading like whispers in the night.

Conversations drift like dust,
Words replaced by

Are We Too Much?

I’ve been breathing in the fumes of my existence and expectedness for some time now…
Far too long because this thing I cannot place has had unending hold over me.

I’ve been realizing things lately, and witnessing my own lies…
That I tell myself to feel sane or rather inflict a false state of comfortability.

Your ideas are unique and
You can reach your destiny

Some will try to break you down
But they are building you up
They are scared of your value and 
So they try to devalue you but
Still, you rise

The power of you has always been ready
The treasure inside of you

Breaking Molds

Upon the stage of life, fair maidens dance,
Their bodies stage props , they feign romance,
With painted faces, and affected charms,
They play their roles, and bear society's harms.

Forced to conform, to the whims of men,
They wear the mask, and hide their true yen,
Society's rules, they must obey,
And true identities, they must betray.

But underneath the surface, lies

Whispers Of Validation

A gifted lover who uses emotions as a bargaining chip.
Tenacious in his grieving of a relationship that had so much potential.
A thick black book what holds the libido of lovers clinged together at a most unholy hour is his collection of conquests.

I am hard on myself, for your presence lingers,

With each flaw magnified, I strive for perfection,
Your expectations, a relentless affliction.
But within this struggle, a truth starts to bloom,

Divine look seeking approval, transforming one’s physical appearance, thoughts, opinions from others. Why? Approval seeking from others Why? One’s inner hearts, minds, bodies and soul validation strengthening to overcoming becoming a super achiever.
Look within your inner heart, mind, body and soul and approval of your own validation not other’s validation, find the strength to overcome
