Always feeling so unneeded, so underappreciated.
But for once she is feeling as though she is utmost defeated.
Still feeling unspent on anything requiring effort.

Trash, garbage, waste, refuse, flotsam, debris…
So many terms for what we agree
is unneeded, unwanted, eminently disposable
From a putrid seed humans hail

I mean think about it:
Does God care about praise?
No.
We shouldn't either.
Do your good works,
Then watch a Marx Brothers movie.
Stop your search for unneeded miracles.
The miracle already occurred.
We're still getting acclimating.

Dreaming of color
Burned it in my mind
But then I wake up,
My hands stained raven
Looking at you now, yes you
Am I unneeded?
Am I just in the way too?
When I close my eyes,
I see a phantom,
of what I of what I could be
I can't see the simple things I'm meant to keep,
What am I supposed to be?
Forever alone and stuck
I can't escape this everlasting rain

eating my triple cheese shrimp omelet
stirring my homemade triple cheese grits
taking my hickory smoked bacon out of the microwave
getting my honey butter biscuits out of the oven
with a bad case of indigestion, i unapologetically dig in
i have my headphones ready for when toilet time comes again
i will probably have seconds and have a couple of baby giant cinnamon rolls
some iced miralax will clean out the unneeded sewage
i might as well say goodnight to my girlfriend, who is rolling her eyes for the umteenth time today
i am glad that i am off for the next three days
for some reason said girlfriend is not talking to me
i know for sure that i am going to the bathroom in the basement and watch the cooking channel on the flatscreen recently installed
my butt will be raw, but doggonit i am as happy as i have ever been......
not a tinker's cuss given......

mountain of things we throw
unneeded items stacked in drawers
rotten meat , fermented food
we eat junk and then junk eats us
heaps of trash, that's our treasure
rusted cars will soon be a wreckage
Oh! Let's bring new junk, get rid of the old

I am looking for a heart
the kind that are hard to find
lost in the abyss of this
technological world.
I am looking for a heart
that are not metallic and mechanical
turned virtual robotic self-centred
in this facebook
and mobile phone addicted world.
I am looking for a heart
humane, made of love and blood
survived on human touch
and without needing
unneeded information so much,
just to be heartlessly smart.
I am looking for a heart
those simple and pure ones
that lived in the yester years
before we became slaves of this
artificial intelligence world.

She made beauty a birthright, my Ilse.
Her rosy cheeks, rouge unneeded,
shadowed her dark eyes.
I was impressed by her,
depraved by her,
all at once humiliated for her.
A hunger lingered inside me,
craving her name.
Still my salvation was denied by time
and the fleeting hours turned me mad.
Her finitude, my hellfire.
My temptation.

Lost Art
There was a time
when we waited eagerly
for the mailman -
when mail deliveries
had actual mail in them
There were real
hand-written letters
from parents,
cousins, children, friends,
maybe a lover,
perhaps birthday cards
or get-well wishes
or postcards from far off.
Now we have e-mail
instant gratification –
no waiting for days
Jot off a note with
a click and it’s there
No more long pages of
small talk about family,
friends, the neighborhood,
or a new recipe,
things that make
letters enjoyable.
Now mailboxes overflow
with advertisements
unwanted catalogues
political cards full of
slander of opponents
and dubious information
Most of all, requests
for money, accompanied by
unwanted and unneeded
tote bags, return labels,
t-shirts and greeting cards -
all paid for with money
supposedly sent
to provide help
for some needy cause
Trees sacrificed for what?
junk mail, trashed as soon
as it’s out of the mailbox!
What of all the history
gleaned from letters
over the years?
Most e-mails are deleted.
Whatever could be learned
from them is gone.
The written letter
has become a lost art.

your personality is perfect for the quiet of the evening
i could stay up all night with you and the pleasure of your company
it feels good to be care free and totally unaware with somebody with a mind alike
we are on vacation in the moment that we create
your personality is perfect for the quiet of the evening
all electronic devices are off and we just converse freely and gladly
it feels good to be care free and totally unaware with somebody with a mind alike
we are immune to all and everything that causes unneeded stress and strife
your personality is perfect for the quiet of the evening
we eat our seafood casserole, texas toast, corn on the cob, and zuppa toscana
with smiles that are wholesome and laughter that is full lie out bellies
we fall asleep knowing, but we choose to ignore the inevitable

Sounds, never before heard, shout deep within my heart and soul, as ears go unneeded, and the arrested atmosphere surrounding me bathes in utter silence.

I'd waited for you now forever,
capturing my embrace between
your grasps, wandering about
solace and peace, we'd shattered
the universe, gathering seashells,
of compassion, gravely I glanced
beneath me to a calmer coast,
heaven sent almost, testing
hidden treasures, my mind
steadfast while my heart exploded,
beyond the essence of unneeded,
gifts I'd bestowed, quietly devouring
haste in an untimely place, why
I'd succumbed to an emptiness
feeling trapped, above all else,
tampering with the needful things,
where love and lust seemed,
to danced right on my toes,
an achiness, called pain withered
throughout time, a rapture of trust,
collided leaving me, room to roam
a rather cleaver passion hints,
of loss removed, replaced malice,
restoring my sense of purity
and grace, glorifying self love,
creating boundaries of you and I
while in love, we soared differently
on different clouds, abundantly so,
joining one another, on the ocean
shore clinging to forever once more.

How that night haunts my mind
Splat
My heart fell to the floor
I'm sure you loved it
Having control over me
Verbally tearing me apart
The crash that happened when our emotions met
Boom
Bang
You broke my heart that night
You broke me
For even when I try to forget
Your words appear in my brain
Like an unwanted
Unneeded
Unexpected guest
That wont go away
Knock Knock
I tell them to leave
But those words
Your words
Are stuck with me
Forever.
